- The new Huion 1060 PLUS tablet makes minor design updates to the previous model. Overall, it's a good tablet but it has stroke tapering issues inside Photoshop and Sketchbook Pro. Other than that, other graphics software all work well.

When I first installed my Huion H1060P, I had serious pen pressure Issues with it in any drawing software. I thought at first I purchased what I payed for. But I sure was very wrong. I found out the pressure issue was because of my 3rd Party Xbox controller. Every time I had the 3rd Party Xbox controller plugged in, along with my Huion Tablet, I always had pen pressure issues. So without the 3rd Party Xbox controller, the Tablet works like a dream. Better than my old wacom tablets I'd say.
how was the pen??? It need to be charge for how long??

I already tried this. Cheapest. Easiest. Nice for beginner. With 8192 pressure sensivity. Very smooth when drawing. Before, using h420. Quite a struggle. Now, more happier. Thanks Mr Teoh

Very nice, but I'd love to see better tilt support. I've never liked Photoshop for drawing, though with some good brushes it's okay (especially with Kyle's brushes).
PaintStorm Studio is $20 ($10 when on sale) and it's AMAZING for painting (replaces Corel Painter, basically). Would love to see this tablet in PaintStorm Studio. PaintStorm Studio is basically my secret weapon for all things 2D, and it even has symmetry!
There's the new Huion 1060 Plus with 8192 levels of pressure-sensitivity, but I don't think it's on Amazon just yet. It is available from the Huion website, however.

How does this compare to the Wacom intuos draw? I want to get either this or the Wacom one as a first tablet.
Performance is very similar. Except in Photoshop, the lines don't taper as smooth compared to Wacom. If you don't use Photoshop much for drawing, performance is going to be similar.
Amy Play You might not even see and feel the difference if you are not working professionally. I think his strokes are not smooth because he turned pressure sensitivity to high. Just keep it at default and make it a little less if sketching some rough figures.
Both will work fine . The only reason to use huion is the number of buttons or else you will have to use keyboard. it is better option over Intuos.

Getting this for my birthday! so excited! My good friend has one, I saw it when I went to her house. I always have drawn with a mouse ( my pfp is an example ) and she was always so confused by that. So the first time attempt with this was.. troublesome haha! It was a mess, trying to keep my hand steady. It's odd because I draw well on paper, its the same strategy pretty much.. but digital, somehow that made it difficult. My second try turned out surprisingly good.. hm. I only used it like twice on the same day.. perhaps it could really help me improve my art.
It will take time to get used to it. Artists who create digital art probably all use such tablets in the past

Friend, It it very confusing the fact that this tablet you show is the NEW one but it still has 2048 levels and on the website it shows 8192 levels. Is that the 3rd version?

This one, or Huion 610 Pro, XP Pen Star 06, Parblo A609. Performance is quite similar for them.

I bought 1 recently , connecting well on another pc but not detected (in it's own software) on my pc. Work in other program's though, the problem is...because it isn't detected ( i can't program it) in the Huion Software i can't use the shortcut keys on the tablet. Any suggestions to fix it?

How driver would be installed in mac laptop, since there is no CD reader slot in mac laptop
I've had the same tapering issue with high end Wacom tablets before, I think the problem probably lies more in the settings you have in the software you were using
Sometimes it depends on the software as well. Some software just taper so much smoother, and the lines are smoother too.
May i know.. the buttons on left refer to short cut...there are several buttons right...how i want to know that buttons refer to what????
You can customise those buttons to whatever keyboard shortcuts you want after installing the driver
I have bought this tablet a week ago, but I have tons of problems with the express keys. I don't understand why sometimes they work as toggle keys, and sometimes they work as 'one press button". Also, I would like to assign the ALT key to one of the pen buttons to act as the color picker in photoshop, but it doesn't seem to work. Does anyone have the same problems ?
Thanks for the Review, I think I go with The Wacom Intuos Comic - the size is small compared to this. But like to go with the brand name first. Then when making expertise with the tablet. I go with this product or advance one.

Great program . you mentioned getting rid of win tap driver from windows so it doesn't compete with Huion's version .How do I do this .I have win 10 version and the lag is terrible .This is a laptop with a core i5 and 8meg of ram. thanks for your youtube program , always love the show .
+alan lilke If it lags with Photoshop, try pressing the Capslock key and then draw. If it is other software that lag, just Google "Uninstall wintab"
I just ordered it I have been using a Wacom Intuos for a while but it is too small and too pricy to upgrade, this looks like a good alternative. Thanks for the video

Roi I do, it’s pretty large so desk space is hard, but all the shortcut keys are nice and it hasn’t detected my hand yet! It’s really nice, for the price I don’t think u can beat it

Roi it doesn’t looks like huion carry a pen that does rotation unlike Wacom with there art pen, so no this guy does not have it. I use photoshop, illustrator and multiple free programs and it has worked great in all of them. I’m not to sad about no rotation as it does have tilt. So similar but not the same

I asked this tablet for christmas. I usually go with wacom but this time I wanna try huion. I am sick of my small bamboo drawing zone and I am not willing to pay the 400$ for intuos pro medium yet. Hope I will get no trouble in Zbrush. Thx for review.

I purchased Wacom Bamboo years ago, but I found issue with size of the screen, as I need more room. In regards to sketching, and drawing, will the tapering problem really affect me? I use paint tool sai, mainly.
+Just Games I don't use Paint Tool Sai so I can't say much. I found the tapering effect to be mostly a Photoshop issue.

Could you tell me if the express keys only work as a button press, or can you hold them as well? For example, in all the Adobe programs you can hold down space to scroll around the workspace. But it the express keys only work as one button press this would not work.

If you could try that for me with the space button (or any other key) that would be so much help. Because with one of the older Huion this was a big flaw for me as it way always just one input.

is there any difference between Huion H610Pro and this one? the H610Pro is cheaper, so i'd buy it, if it's the same performance. (I'd use it for manga)

Quick question: at the end of your review, you said the 1060 works perfectly on MacOS. Does 'perfectly' mean it works the same on the Mac as Windows - or better? I'm asking because the only drawback in the Windows review was the not-so-gradual tapering of the pen strokes in Photoshop. I'm wondering both systems have the same problem, or if Mac doesn't have the tapering problem?

+M. Simmons Perfectly means I did not experience any glitches with the various drawing apps that I use. The apps may behave differently on different OS. Also, stroke tapering with Photoshop is a Photoshop thing. I used Medibang Paint Pro for drawing and the strokes taper nicely.

Hello i'm kind of new in drawing on computer and i would like to buy a first cheap tablet but i hesitate between the huion 1060 and the wacom intuos (that i really like cause there is a gesture setting, and i usually draw on my ipad2 ) but i can't know wich one is better

+waiyi wong People go for Wacom because it's an established brand that has been around for a long time. I find Wacom alternatives to be quite good too. Performance is quite close to Wacom nowadays.
