I just want to leave a comment here regarding the 610: Make sure to use the drivers that come with the CD, not the ones that you download off their site. Ive tested the tablet on two different machines, and both times the "online" drivers do not properly map sensitivity, so you end up not being able to paint properly. It still feels quite different from a Wacom Intuos ( Pen and Touch is what I used ). The sensitivity settings even at Hardest setting are still very dainty in comparison to Wacom ( at hardest sensitivity on my wacom, Id have to crush the pen against the tablet in order to hit max pressure, in this you still only require a slightly sterner stroke to hit it ). But if you play around with brush settings and adjust your color properly when painting, its not a big deal. Especially when you consider the size of the tablet for the price that you're paying, I'd still rather have this than the small sized Intuos.
That's a very good price for a comparable tablet. Some of the quirks and problems with some of those apps can probably be fixed by asking around on those particular apps' forums.
Just purchased this and it is arriving today. I needed something to do photo editing as a surprise for the bf who hasn't been able to see his parents in over 15 years. I want to cut and paste their photo into a photo of him and his son to have put on a canvas. It has been an adventure so I stumbled across this tablet on Amazon for $50 and the reviews from experienced artists/photographers were astounding so I am confident in this device to help me achieve my project goals

I use mine all the time to edit textures for gaming mods and honestly don't know how I went about it before without it. I've had it for about 1 1/2 years and have yet to have any issues with it. I like my other tablet with the digital screen on it for aesthetic purposes, but it doesn't matter in the long run as you are likely to focus on your monitor more than the tablet itself anyways. Plus, I find myself using this one way more often than the other .... I think it's because I am just so used to it and find the screen size to be perfect for my work area. So ... yeah, if you're on a budget and looking to get something like this, definitely check this one out. It's not a bad deal at all for what it is and you can always upgrade later in the future when money becomes more available.

Soon after watching Teoh Yi Chie's review I bought the H610 pro and it is everything he said it was. I use it solely for photoshop and the preset keys worked straight out of the box. The buttons on the pen take some time to get used too. The top I use for brush size and the bottom for the history brush, yes I screw up a lot :) Had it not been for Teoh I would probably have bought the over-priced wacom.
For Illustrator CS6 this fixes the pen pressure. First make sure in the driver settings Support Tablet PC is checked. Launch Illustrator CS6. Create a new document. Left click the brush icon in the right-hand toolbar to open the brushes palette window. Double click the brush you want to use. Change the “Regular” to “Pressure” on all settings then set the variation to its Maximum. I have not checked this with Adobe CC as I have not installed it yet.

I think it's mainly MAC Krita tho. I have used this tablet with Windows version and it worked fine. So either Windoze driver is better or they've fixed it in 3.0 or newer Krita (updating it regularly).

*2018 UPDATE!* Krita's devs fixed the bugs with krita and it's now fully supported. I haven't tried it out, since I don't have the tab, but krita's creators state that the tab is "Fully supported" now.. Idk about medibang, but krita is probably working perfectly..

But still I have been a little bit confused that how do I change/edit the pressure and other settings. This graphics tablet was my 2nd. And this has been the best drawing tablet for me :) Would you like to know what Drawing tablet I had first? (My first Drawing tablet was VikooPen. It worked about 2 or 3 days very well but then my Adobe Photoshop started crashing after I installed ViikooPens driver...)
Thanks for the tablet review. I notice that your stylus is pretty responsive after each stroke you draw. Mine, however, lags a bit after each stroke. How do you make the stylus more responsive at every stroke and not lag? There is no settings to adjust this. Can you advise?
Not sure what yours is performing like that. Perhaps download other apps to try and see if it's a problem relating to the app. You can download Krita and MediBang Paint Pro for free.
Ufff! You scared me! This model is one of the two Huion tablets I have and enjoy (the pressure control is incredible), the other is the wonderfully small H420. One of the apps that failed in your test, Medibang Paint, is one I'm considering as a candidate to be my base tool for drawing comics, because it has versions for Windows, Android and iPad too, and because it has a simpler interface than Clip Studio, at least in the tablet versions. I had it installed on my Mac but haven't tried it yet, until a minute ago. I'm relieved, it works ok! Yosemite 10.10.5 + Huion driver 11.0.6 build 50930 (slightly older than yours) I hope it doesn't break when I try to update something :( Any other quirks with this app? Great chanel BTW! I like a lot your videos about traditional media, and the focus on the artistic use of tech & gadgets.
Different OS and drivers can be unpredictable. Medibang for me is unusable because of the problem mentioned in the video. I hope it can be fixed with some driver updates. I've another wireless Huion tablet that has no problems with Medibang.
I used to have this tablet until it broke. The build quality itself is quite nice, the pressure sensitivity level is good, it is almost the same like Wacom Intuos. However my usb port suffered some damage (which I couldn't connect from my computer to my tablet) anymore. I'd say it's a good tablet since it's very affordable. There's also jittery lines in my Photoshop but that isn't a big issue for me since you get what you pay for. I'm going to buy another Huion to replace my current one!
I am a mainly traditional artist, so when I got this tablet model I found it so difficult to draw, and it never looks right. Still have this problem, and I don't know if it's me or the tablet.

You helped me pick out my first travel watercolor set, and now I'm in need of your help for a graphics tablet! Heh. I'm still quite the novice lah, so I'm not expecting anything too much, and also still want to maintain within budget. So i'm thinking between this Huion H610 or the Wacom Intuos Draw (the smallest one). Are the two even comparable? The price for the Wacom so far is slightly cheaper, but then the pressure sensitivity on the Huion is higher. Which would you recommend? Thanks so much!
+Hajer Nasir There won't be much noticeable difference when drawing with pressure. Both are very sensitive. With the same money, I think you can get a Medium sized Huion instead of a small Wacom. If you use Photoshop a lot, I suggest Wacom because the driver is better with Photoshop.
Pondering wether to buy this or not. Have heard it works well with Paint Tool SAI which I plan to use but just wondering if it works well with Macbook. Please reply as I want to make a good final desicion
As a person who just ordered this, do I not need to worry about the natural oils of the fingers and hands ruining it like the screened versions, or is it still highly recommended to use an anti-fouling / artist's glove?

Hi! Thank you for your video - it was super helpful and informative! I have a question: do you know if the tablet works with Clip Studio Paint? I have both and tried them together and I couldn't seem to draw on Clip Studio, but I wasn't sure if I was doing something wrong since I'm very new to digital art.
+Powlingar The drawing area is 10 by 6 inches, hence their model numbers. I recommend the New 1060 PLUS because it has more physical shortcut buttons. All the different models have same drawing functionality, just that some have more or less shortcut buttons.

works perfectly on linux, on Windows with the driver it works perfectly on most software (so far it works perfect for me on adobe and krita)

Anyway, just imagine you're using a computer mouse to do the job, except now you're using a pen.

+Tachi Chin Depending on whether you need it or not, you can buy the Lazy Nezumi Plugin for Photoshop to smoothen the lines. It works very well.

I am a mainly traditional artist, so when I got this tablet model I found it so difficult to draw, and it never looks right. Still have this problem, and I don't know if it's me or the tablet.
It is difficult to adapt to drawing digitally. It takes time

does it work with Krita or Medibank paint pro? I know that huion works with Krita in general but I want to know if huion h610 specifically

i bought one of these and never got the shortcuts to really work but iv had it for about 6 months its pretty good but it doesn't work with illustrator at all
Hi! Before anything, I just wanna say I really appreciate your videos, they're so helpful! You helped me pick out my first travel watercolor set, and now I'm in need of your help for a graphics tablet! Heh.
I'm still quite the novice lah, so I'm not expecting anything too much, and also still want to maintain within budget. So i'm thinking between this Huion H610 or the Wacom Intuos Draw (the smallest one). Are the two even comparable? The price for the Wacom so far is slightly cheaper, but then the pressure sensitivity on the Huion is higher. Which would you recommend? Thanks so much!
+Hajer Nasir There won't be much noticeable difference when drawing with pressure. Both are very sensitive. With the same money, I think you can get a Medium sized Huion instead of a small Wacom. If you use Photoshop a lot, I suggest Wacom because the driver is better with Photoshop.

As a person who just ordered this, do I not need to worry about the natural oils of the fingers and hands ruining it like the screened versions, or is it still highly recommended to use an anti-fouling / artist's glove?
Artist gloves are not needed. Try drawing without for a few days and see what happens

Hi, thank you for this review. I have a question about zooming. I've read in one review that it has problem with zoom command. How do you zoom in/out when you use this (on Photoshop)? Did you have any trouble?
+Raffaella320 You can either use the physical shortcut buttons or keyboard shortcuts (I use these) for zooming.

Hi! Thank you for your video - it was super helpful and informative! I have a question: do you know if the tablet works with Clip Studio Paint? I have both and tried them together and I couldn't seem to draw on Clip Studio, but I wasn't sure if I was doing something wrong since I'm very new to digital art.
You may have to toggle Windows Ink on or off from the driver. Or go into CSP settings change the WinTab or tablet settings.

+Powlingar The drawing area is 10 by 6 inches, hence their model numbers. I recommend the New 1060 PLUS because it has more physical shortcut buttons. All the different models have same drawing functionality, just that some have more or less shortcut buttons.
