I’ve been watching your videos for years and really love the local art community you have. Thanks for another great video Teoh!
Thanks!
it blows me away how talented with such a variety of styles in the sketch group (nice Usk sketchbooks too)
This was my first USKSingapore sketch walk, hopefully, not the last. What a lovely experience it was.
I was also using the Baohong sketchbook but the medium size hot press. I love that paper.
It’s lovely to see the great diversity of people sketching at these get-togethers.
Love all the sketches, styles, used techniques…
I am on my 3rd Baohong green book, and I am loving them. I work rather wet and the pages stay pretty flat.
Colors dry beautifully, and you can paint on multiple layers without lifting the ones below. Short of making my own books, these stand in nicely.
I love the baohong paper. In Indonesia I usually buy loose sheets of them and bind them into my own sketchbooks
I've used the baohong blocks and was pretty impressed, it's really good for the price 😊😊
I love your art, but I love that you added shots of other artists' art. Awesome pieces. Every piece is lovely and unique.
Wow usksg has such an active and fun community! There’s so much talent and love the merch! Looking forward to the day I can visit 😊 - love from uskboston 💌
What a treat to see all the wonderful artworks! Thanks for the review and thanks for sharing the artworks.
I've been wondering about this paper (I can order it via Temu here in Canada). This was really great to show me how it works. Thank you! 😊
Lovely sketch, Teoh! I have some thoughts on this Baohong paper. I purchased it in a big roll (hot press) and I purchased the Etch sketchbook (white cloth cover, hot press) and painted the same subject using the same colours. I feel like these two papers are absolutely identical in the way they behave, up to the point of saying that it may be the same paper, but branded differently. This is only my opinion though, maybe that's not true. I enjoy using the Baohong one although I feel like it sometimes dulls down the colours a bit.
Also meant to say, your group mates, I love those black & white sketches ; my first art love. They have some awesome tones. The colored sketches are very great too. Love seeing the group sketches. 👍 Such an inspiration to get out there and give it a go ....
I love how you included furry tail arts, I absolutely ADORE their travel pencil case
I love to watch the videos from the SG Urban Sketchers. Thank you!
So inspirational! The baohong sketchbook is now on my next supply list! Thank you for sharing the amazing experience :)
What a great bunch of sketches in so many styles! Nice to see you try the Baohong.
Hello Teoh. Glad that you finally review the baohong green book ( it's one in my to buy list) . If you have chance please do review the brown/cold press version, thanks👋
Mine fell apart. And I’m not rough on my books
@@SharonCullenArt Same, mine fell apart at the very beginning after only a few pages... had to glue it back >< Still like the paper though.
Love those sketchbooks. I have the Cold and Hot press versions. The paper is excellent. Nice review.
I love my baohong sketchbook. As always, I LOVED this video
I love your videos Teoh😊
Love your loose sketching. I often order Baohung paper, but haven't tried this one. I always look forward to your reviews
Awesome community. I hope I shall join usk croatia branch in zagreb soon.
It’s more fun drawing with friends
Wow! Where is this wonderful place? Artist's paradise. Maybe I missed your location it's the first video I've seen from your channel. I will subscribe. Thank you.

Love your merch
Hello! I was so curious about that sketching group do you/they regularly hold sketching activities like this? Im live in singapore and would like to try to connect with the art/sketch community!
There are regular outings. Links in the video description
I have a Baohong glued pad….I like the Baohong paper..but not the heavy cream colour cast
I have just finished the book. It felt pretty nice at first. But then it fell apart. I liked the paper. It felt very nice. But then My cover tore loose and my book was sloppy and slipping all over the place. I will never buy another one. You get what you pay for. I have had several others tell me that theirs fell apart also.
I love the paper of that Baohong sketchbook - but unfortunately the binding is sub-par on my book: it broke on page 3, leaving a very ugly look 😒
Mine broke the first time I opened it; but I love the paper
@@melissapapantoniou1770 Yeah, I'll stick with the pads in future, they're great quality. Or maybe I'll use that paper to try binding my own sketchbook: a friend has learned how to and has the equipment!
Could you slice all the paper out, re glue it with pva and then reattach it to the cover? Not perfect but still potentially usable. Or if you want it to lay flat, you could fold all the pieces in half and make it into a sewn binding in a cover half the size. There are lots of tutorials on bookbinding on RUclips if you haven’t done it before. At least you wouldn’t lose the paper.
@@dees3179 @dees3179 Thanks for the ideas! I haven't done bookbindings yet, but a friend of mine has experience and even some tools I think. I'll watch a few tutorials and ask her for help.
I have filled several pages already - I definitely don't want to lose that sketchbook!
@@dees3179 yes I guess so. It’s a shame it happened though, and it’s obviously a flaw on their behalf. I have used washi tape to cover the exposed internal area, but your idea is good! Thank you!
First! 👋🏼
