I have used this sketchbook for a year now and really like it! Mine is hot press paper, which I prefer. I also have several watercolor blocks that are Baohong and am happy with the quality of those too. Thank you for the review and I really enjoyed seeing your videos of AsiaLink Sketch Walk days!

These Baohong sketchbooks come in three different sizes both cold and hot pressed. There’s nothing wrong with the binding, at least in my ones.

I've got bought both the rough and smooth versions multiple times and I really quite enjoy them. If you are rough with them and mash up the spine roughly they can become loose. But if kept carefully they are fine.
I enjoy both texture options for various uses. Particularly enjoy the cold press for landscapes and larger portraits.
I wish it was still relatively easy to get these affordably, but I've begun to see this in Canada via Amazon, so perhaps that will be an option for me moving forward.

I bought like 10 of different kinds of sketchbooks last year. but I ended up draw two pictures and getting lazy and quit drawing for whole year. I need t start watching your video again to get back into watercolor.....!

This is a great sketchbook. I have it in both cold pressed and hot processed, in two differences sizes. I don’t know what those comments about the binding are about because I’ve had zero issues.
Great sketches! Seems like a fun tour. One question: What is the reason behind choosing the A.Scarlet to put into your travel pallet (if there is one other than just personal)? 😊 My apologies if you explained it already. I was trying to find a video about the materials you take with you, but wasn’t abele to find one.

Hi Teoh. This looks like a very well made sketchbook though I consider the inconsistency on the pages' surface a big off as I don't use my sketchbooks exclusively for urban sketches. The thing that you ommit to mention on your review is how the paper handles details and multiple washes wet on dry. Could you perhaps make a smaller video showing these things?
It's able to handle details and wet on dry well.
