- I just wanted to make a quick video showing you guys that running this tire set up is possible on a 2 inch level kit.
The tires in the video are BFGoodrich AT K02 sized in 275/70 R18 Авто/Мото
Looks good brother! Bouta get the same size on falken and 17 inch rims so this exactly the assurance I needed 👍🏽
Looks good going for this same setup except I ordered the rough country loaded strut 2in leveling kit because they say it has better ride quality. Hope it looks this good when I get it put on.
Thanks for posting proof that they do work on stock 18x8.5” wheels! Mine are going on sometime next week hopefully.
Thanks for watching!
What’s your fuel mileage like with these tires? Are you still liking this setup? Almost due for tires on my Silverado and I’m debating going up to this size.
Looks perfect man
Thank you !
@@danny09silva you still liking this setup?
@@jordanhannah5839 yes ! It looks great and made a huge difference on the trail! Only down side is fuel economy
@@danny09silva awesome how much did fuel economy go down?
Could you post a video of the camera showing the tires turning back and forth to see clearance?
Will that tire size fit in the 18 Silverado Z71 without the leveling kit?
Can you swing that set up with mud flaps on without rub ?
Would these fit stock suspension without rub?
How do the tires feel on the highway? Do they ride rough and loud ? I had the Wrangler DuraTrac and they where quite and had a very nice ride.
These tires are very quiet on the road !
Dude, looks perfect ! I have the exact same ride and I’m putting the exact same tires (same size) on my 2 inch RC leveled Silverado next week. Thank you for posting this !! Curious, did the mpg drop like crazy or is still around 20 on the highway / 15 around town ?
Mpg definitely got worse, I do short in city driving and my average right now is about 13mpg
How has the leveling kit been so far? Any front end issues? Havent seen many long term reviews which seems a little leary.
Thanks for reaching out!
I’ve had 0 issues with the leveling kit thus far, countless off roading trips and lots of towing with the set up and no issues.
@@dannysilva09 Awesome thanks!
Did you use the stocks rim and just get new tires?
Yes
I’m going with the same tire but 285x70x18 with the leveling kit. Getting them put on tomorrow hopefully it clears lol
Any luck does it clear or rub at all?
Clears no problem.
Do you need a leveling kit to put 285/70/18 ?
@@codytaylor8129 I got 20inch wheels what’s the biggest I could go you think with a 2.5 level
@@ruinz3503 don’t worry about the wheel size, just the tires. The ones I’m running work prefect with still a little wiggle room.
This is literally what I wanna do but add 2inch wheel spacers to it and boom
It’s very tough on ur ball
Joints. Must definitely get better upper control arms that can counter this. Or get new rims they keep the mounting point the same.

i know this is old but i have a 17 silverado with the factory 18s and also bought the rough country 2" leveling kit. You said you might be able to go up a size would you go up in how tall the tire is or a wider tire. i was looking at 275/75/18 or 285/70/18
I think you could get away with the 285/70/18 but I’m not entirely sure
I don’t think you can get away with 285 without using spacers. I just installed 275/65/18 and 2.5 RC levering kit with the loaded strut option. At lock to lock I have about an inch or 2 from the RC upper control arm. You might be able to, but if you do I think it will be a little too close for my comfort lol.
Do you think the 275/60r18 would rub if stock?
No
So 285/70/17 should fit no problem on my 2015 silverado 1500. With 8.5 wheels +25 offset.
Also have 2 inch front level.
@@stephenmetz2044 do you know yet?
Yes. Fit fine. No issues.
Did you have to put on 1/4" wheel spacers to run the stock wheels. RC is saying you need wheel spacers to run stock wheels.
Okay I know this is like rlly late and probably irrelevant now butttt, I just did the RC 2.5in leaving kit with loaded struts on my 2011 Silverado 1500. Using No spacers. Stock z71 rims: I’m running 275/65R18 with 0 rub. I have about 2-3 inches of space from the RC upper control arm at lock to lock. I believe you will need to trim the front of the wheel well a bit. I wouldn’t know for sure how much of you do bc unfortunately my truck was already trimmed when I bought it. Originally had 3.5 budget RC lift. I do not recommend it lol.
Would they rub without leveling?
Yes, it definitely would
Would these rub with the factory mud flaps?
Nope, no rubbing!
@danny09silva Well then I know what I'm getting! Thanks!
What size were the original wheels? 255 70r17?
That’s what mine are rn I found cheap deal on same tires he has but it’s 275-55-R18
Think it would fitting
I think the stock tire size was 255- 55 18
265/65 18 stock
