7:57 I own a 2017 5.3 and all I did for exhaust is cut the valve back off. This gets rid of the muffler and the resonator. Wakes the exhaust up, still emissions legal for inspections and was free.
How do you do this

After you level your truck you should also have your headlights adjusted. Because it blinds the Hell out of on coming traffic.

Full intent, wreck into me , I have GAP, tryna get rid of this thang lmao.
Easiest way to debadge is use braided fishing line and pull behind the badges, work back and forth like a saw and come off quick (wear gloves!) then use a rubber body eraser wheel in a drill and rubs the 2 sided tape right off. I also tried vinyl overlay on my bow ties on my '17 but the emblems are textured so after awhile the vinyl came off.
Dont technically have a truck, it's and SUV (it's my first car) but a 2002 Suburban LT with 4wd and the 5.3 vortec. Took the badges off the tailgate, the plastic trim on the sides, as well as the side 1500 badges. Looks super clean, just a sleek white side panel with no unbroken lines

A truck has a big v8 so it’s fast and sporty.

It’s a body on frame it’s a truck lol just have a cover pretty much a shortbed Silverado

I always do window tint first. Ever since my 2nd car. Serves different purposes than it did back in the day but still a must.

5:23 the front bowtie is actually held in by clips and can be removed easy but obviously its just a big hole in the grille if you leave it out
After you level your truck you have to get an alignment. So that’s $80-$120
I didn’t know that I had to get an alignment when I got my leveling kit, so it ate up my tires real fast

Edgr no, not really lol, they have to hook your vehicle up to a computer and all kinds of other things
@@Saul_goodman6903 no really. It's a hell of a lot harder to do it manually then with computers, and it won't be completely 100% perfect. But what you do is you take 2 Jack stands and put them on opposite ends of your truck and Tie a string to them. They have to be perfectly straight and stay tight tho. I dont know a whole lot about it but I have a buddy who's grandpa can do it.
Not sure why you would take off the badges they look awesome
I actually went and purchased my ram 1500 badges for the sides. I like a badged truck.
But my truck is black and badges are black so they dont stand out much

Only problem with tinting the windshield is you need a doctors signature on a special form from the DOT/DMV. I had my windshield tinted on my car in Pennsylvania and that's what they told me when I went for inspection.
Doof3rproductions this is about my 8th or 9th vehicle in PA with the brow on the windshield. I even had a Wrangler with the entire windshield tinted. Haven’t had any issues yet myself. But I have heard that before.
Air bags are a must to, not much money and will be nice if you tow.

I took my 2014 duramax and de badged and plasti dipped all the chrome on a Texas edition within the first week. Looks good. The plasti dip actually held up better than my paint. Hunting south Texas. 6" lift on 35's . Cool video.

You want to lift or level?? 2 major differences
window tint if I don't off road or camp. sometimes you get lost in the pitch black and window tint won't make it any easier to see those sharp rocks that like to move at night

Muffler delete with exhaust pipe welded in place and stainless exhaust $75 at Danny’s muffler here in Decatur Illinois sounds amazing

Flowmaster super 10 series. I have that setup but dumped at the axel and it sounds amazing.
I’ve got the super 10 on my 5.3 vortec it sounds decent mostly when revving but actual highway driving I’m iffy on it thinking of swapping to black widow
David Comeaux It’s kinda loud in the cab for sure but the fam has learned to just speak louder. 🤣🤣 It can be to much for some.
Silveradoguy 88 for sure, just not the sound I was hoping to get. Definitely still a good muffler if you like loud vehicles

No torsions on silverados, had to do on my Yukon not bad if you get tool.

I don’t get de-badging a ride, it’s an integral part of every vehicle’s identity and visual design.
Every car, truck, SUV I see that have been de-badge looks and feels like a cheap knock-off because that’s the first thing cheap knock-offs do before making an inferior copy of a design.
See, I disagree. Badged vehicles look all the same with their plastic and fake chrome letters that fade and crack, hold dirt, etc. Looks like someone went to Pepboys and spent too much money! To me, that’s what looks tacky and cheap. And it’s plain traffic going down the road looking like the rest. Smooth body panels are where it’s at for me! Makes it easier to wash as well!
With the window tint, that makes breaking the window more convenient. Shoot it with a bb, then the tint holds the window that shattered together. Cut the tint, and its out in one piece.
$150 for tint aged well… try about $350 to $500 if you want windshield 😢😂
I tent the entire front lol and the Chevy dealer did it of course I work for them but hey ps I have a double cab to it’s 2019 Ltz 6.2 love it

Daniel Bulloch hey man I’m 27k miles deep on my 2.5” kit and I’ve had 0 issues to date 🤞🏼 definitely puts the balljoints at a non favorable angle but I went 26k before doing UCAs to correct that. Honestly I wouldn’t have even done them but I got a sponsorship so got them for free. Lol so even after the 26k miles before UCAs everything was still tight; balljoints, tie rod ends, sway bar links, etc.

James Wright 2.5” level up front, 2” blocks in the rear. Yes they are 33s on 12 wides. No cutting or trimming. Just dealt with the rub for a while. 16k miles on the tires and the rub is gone 🤟🏼

20x12 -44 wheels 33x12.50 tires. 2.5” level up front, 2” lift blocks in the rear
My guy bought a leveling kit for his truck just to make it unlevel again.
Had a truck w tinted windshield. Never again. Night driving was terrible

I live in California, cops/highway patrol will pull you over to give you a fix it ticket for having tinted windows in the front
I live in the Coachella Valley CA, we get up to 125 degrees pretty regularly in the summer and have never had any problems with window tint.
From the central coast Cali depends if the cops here have had bad day or sum

Windshield tint is not illegal that’s an old wives tale. Just be careful how dark, mines tinted and I’ve never had any issues. But if you drive at nights it can be an adventure but it cuts out the idiots and their high beams.

idk how to correctly debadge a vehicle... goof off and all that other shit i have tried and the adhesive never seems to fully come off on any of the vehicles i have done it to.. help?
Try a citrus based adhesive remover and work at it w soft cloth.. it will come off w minimal scratching if any

Trust me dude you have to tint your whole windshield. I’ve got 20 all the way down mine and it’s one of the best things I’ve ever done. Plus 5 over 20 on the rest of the windows

Ok reason I ask is because mine is a 2019 LD 1500 which looks like yours but dealership ran my vin and told me mine is plug and play but been told by others it’s not just trying to make sure I get correct info before buying them

Did u have to rewire on your 2019 for tow mirrors or was it plug and play
mike glass had to require because mine is only a LT trim.. needed to wire in the turn signal on glass, clearance lights, and cargo lights. If you already have a high country or LTZ you should be plug and play

I finally found someone who likes the rake look. I like the rake look, plus when you hitch up it then levels your truck. That lower back end when you hitch up looks terrible.

How are the ball joints and tie rods holding up from the level kit? I want one for my 14’Z71 but have read about the front ends becoming wrecked.
Austin Cummins been running the 2.5” level now for 26K miles and have had 0 issues to date 🤟🏼 I’m very happy with mine. Just upgraded UCAs a few weeks ago but not of necessity, because I had a pair sent to me to test out from MotoFab.

I’ve done it before on other vehicles of mine without issues.. just don’t cheap out on spacers if it’s a daily.

Most guys who use their trucks for work from my experience and not just looks... once you hook to a trailer it levels the truck out. If it were leveled beforehand you’d be squatting hard making it tough to drive towing staring at the sky.
