As an old retired "Lorry" mechanic - I love this channel, watching the state of the commercial vehicle tech get more and more complicated (for better or for worse haha) and our old mate Russell adapting to each challenge is great. Keep up the great work mate 🙂
Hey John, I'm glad you enjoy watching the content buddy. It's most definitely getting WORSE 😅😅😅😅 No decompression leavers on inline fuel pumps here 🫣🫣🫣🫣🫣 ha ha ha. Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching 😎
Greetings from Romania🇹🇩 Russell, verry good video like always,You must check the main fuel filter first for low fuel pressure, there is a litle ball on the bottom you must replace the repair kit because in time that ball is going to shrink and fall of or disappear from place. That internet is a pain in your country from what i see, here in Romania internet is like wind is very very fast and you don't need that Bond 007 things to have a good internet, hopefully i gave you a good advice with that low pressure.God bless you.
Great work as always mate. I sent you a a request about an ongoing issue I have had since I purchased my truck in February you seem like the very person who will get to the bottom of my problem. I have spent a lot of money now and got no where with the fault.
Nick.... you are kidding me! All these years and you push them in!!!!! I've seen LOADS of these clips broken from people pulling the clips out and you're telling me you push them in! Learn something new every day buddy. I did not know that 😅 I'm off to find a DPF pressure sensor to try ha ha ha
@nickvankessel327 Thanks for the support in watching the videos mate 😎👍 I hope they have helped you in some way......even if it's HOW NOT to take a clip off a DPF pressure sensor ha ha ha 😅
great work Russell these new XG s are having some issues don't think they were properly field trilled .or should i call them the poor mans Scania .nice diagnostic work 👍👍 i did a DPF this week and those clips were broke on the dif pressure sensor on the b4 cat had to replace the whole pipe think it was £200 but was on CVC .
Hey steve. I've just seen the answer reports on jaltest RMI for the latest round of issues currently going on. I remember them running a black truck around before they launched NGD BUT the fact they sold the truck before our workshop staff and sales had any chance to go on corsed to do with the new product blew my mind. I remember ringing Andy Mudie at DAF technical Haddenham for tooling as it wasn't even in the country yet! The pipes are crap, I've sourced the ends now with the clips as Daf wants 1000 for the new pipework for Daf LF....all because they moved over to the 12mm outlets from the 10mm on euro-6.
Hello, I would like to ask you for help. I have a Daf XF in the workshop whose engine performance has been reduced, the diagnostics show me these error codes p1058,p1496,p1723.Have you encountered this before? Do you think that the VTG turbo regulation could have gone? I did a test with my diagnostics but it ended unsuccessfully, I also checked the egr differential pressure sensor and cleaned it. Could you advise me on the next procedure? thank you for the answer
Hi I don't answer technical questions on youtube unfortunately. Businesses need to use the forum over at www.trucktechuk.com for technical advice on customers vehicles
I really enjoy your content Russel and you are a huge loss to the dealer network ,Imagine missing the plastic pipe ROFL ,we are all human and we do sometimes miss the obvious ...I thought at one stage with the WABCO EBS ECU you where going to say it was the trailer control valve ,both failed regularly...Ahhh good old fuel problems tha everyone runs away from...Does jaltest not do a fuel test under cranking ?? I will send a mail about other parts in your video
Im glad you enjoy it buddy, i just love working on the product just like you! unfortunately, DAF is more than "let's fix this right, first time, for the customer!" and this is why we're discussing things in private 😑 The pipe..........well what can I say! I had a word with myself that day but the original diagnsotic was done at 5.30 in the middle of Manchester so I wanted to go home lol 😆 So much for the right first time eh! The EBS-3 ecu......as expensive as the part and programming was sorted it out ASAP for the customer so everyone was happy. I've not had a trailer control valve in ages! I love a fuel fault lol people just don't like the cost involved. Jaltest DOES a cranking test for fuel pressure but the oil needs to be over 20*c. I've a adjustable resistor here for the oil temperature switch to fool it but where RMI SAYS it is ........it doesn't seem to be fitted on the oil module on my.17....can't say I've ever needed to replace it or had it fail only the oil pressure switch! Speak to you in a bit 😎
Again, a good video. You are very busy with our Dutch pride.🫣 i do regularly see Daf XG with breakdowns along the road. Aren't the trucks too complicated these days. by the way a safe steering wheel cover by the blue Daf XG greetings from the Netherlands
Hey Rick 👋 Thanks for the comment buddy. I can easily do 40 hours a week fixing this product 😅 it's the only brand I do! I think trucks will only get more complicated as we go into euro 7 in 2027 🫣 If you think that the steering wheel cover is dangerous you should see the little handles they bolt on 🫣 Take care mate
The best tech magazine at the moment. Keep it up mate
Thanks for watching 👀 and thanks for the comment 👍

Great videos Russell , thanks for sharing 👍
Hey buddy how are you! Glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for watching 👀 😎
Good Chanel. Thanks 😊
Thanks for the comment and for watching 👀 👍
Hey mate nice video's. Butt for the dpf pressure sensor you can press the clips in en then pull off the hoses. Much easier. Keep up the good work

@@TRUCKTECHUK Yes ofcourse i have seen some problems and solutions that helpt me in my day of work
Had a few LFs with those turbo pipes splitting,. Be a horrendous squek up hills..😊... luckily been warranty parts..
What is that clicking sounds DAFs do? At the 14:40 in video
It's the AdBlue dosing valve pulsing to let air into the after-treatment Adblue line so it doesn't create a vacuum in the injector pipe.
Thank you.
No problem buddy. Hope you're doing okay 😎
Wow nice ❤
Thanks buddy 😎
