    1:11 I've been using the same connector for over a year now, I like it.
    You constantly don't have enough time to finish the repairs to the end😂

      Hey thanks for the comment, yes it's a brilliant device that saves me so much time on potential issues.....we all know these OBD sockets are made of chocolate ha ha
      It's crazy! The thing is people can do the jobs, they just can't do the diagnostics side of it, so I spend more time travelling around the country telling people what's wrong than actually doing the job from start to finish.
      I think it's cheaper for customers as no one wants to pay me my hourly rate to change something they can do themselves 👍😎

    Another good video 👍👍 I once got called out to an Actros with LDWS warning and emergency break fault. Turns out it was a rather big moth had met its maker right in front of the camera. Easy Money 👍😂

    Hi Russel,
    As always a great informative video.
    Your new van is a nice upgrade over the old one.
    I like an oil dipstick better than the electric one.
    I also have it in my car am not a fan of it.
    Must have to do with lazy drivers.
    Until the next video.

      Hey buddy thanks for the comment and for dropping by.
      The vans great for not getting wet and for keeping warm ha ha ha its got a night heater in.
      I think it's great that we can create these systems to check things but education is key to using them. Keeping it simple is the name of the game

    Good video Russ! Shorting brake linings is sharp thing 😅 ( I have it done too 😂) AEBS faults in my workshop are always related to event counter exceeded to the max.

    • @TRUCKTECHUK
      @TRUCKTECHUK  5 дней назад +1

      Hey buddy. Thanks for the comment, yes not the best but if the customer is getting the servicing done and is on top of it by checking the brake pads on inspection, the truck will be fine.
      The limit on the AEBS should he higher ha ha ha

      @darrenhearn1365 the sooner they bring in some sort of legal ADAS requirement the better. Although most CARS are now adopting self-calibration that trucks use 🫣🫣🫣

    Easy week for you Russel...with the oil level it is one of them what is easier to do ..check the sensor or tilt the cab ,what ever you choose will be wrong ....I have had a couple of the EBS issues on the lift axle ,generally i put it down and the light is out before i get to the gate on the roadtest ...Dont forget you may have to get DAF to update the software to go with the new LDWS ,the amount of people who fit a new LDWS programme it and knacker it ,,And that is even with the warnings DAF give ,piece of paper with the new camera ,a warning on the davie ,warning on RMI ,,etc ..Then you get the not my fault DAF to blame blah blah lol

    • @TRUCKTECHUK
      @TRUCKTECHUK  5 дней назад +1

      Hey buddy. I still need to reply to your email from last week 🫣🫣🫣🫣🫣. That's how crazy it is at the moment.
      Bloody oil levels lol
      I've had the ECAS valve cause this issue before where it drops the lift axle and picks the back of the truck up off the floor 😂.
      I think if they had driven it a bit longer with it down it might have gone out but I've tried to cover every possible cause in the video.
      As for the LDWS software, I can program the latest version with jaltest, I will see if I need to get an ID CARD update on it first if that's what the customer wants....it might end up with a 2nd hand one from james heart lol

    • @norb0254

    I forgot to ask you from the previous video, what angle torque wrench you use ? I am after one wondering if you happy with yours 😊

    • @TRUCKTECHUK
      @TRUCKTECHUK  5 дней назад

      Hey buddy, it's this one.
      www.ebay.co.uk/itm/192487351683?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=M56R26TpR1m&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=T1fARLmMQPS&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
      PERSONALLY.......I wouldn't buy it. I think it was great for me starting off but from a functional view it could be better!!!!
      Sometimes it can count degrees of angle torque when you have no pressure on it, if you're moving the head it's measuring the angle.
      I'd go with the Snap-on equivalent. Has a better torque range, is more robust and counts the measurements better. The downside is you could buy 3 Sealey torque wrenches to one snap-on one

    I don't know how anyone puts up with Dafs and the constant faults lol We went Renault T series and they have been Superb Tractor Units for what they cost.

    • @TRUCKTECHUK
      @TRUCKTECHUK  4 дня назад +2

      The way I see it is this is a biased channel. You will never see a DAF that isn't broken. Daf as a brand is the biggest market leader in the UK and this is why you hear about fault more than any other truck.
      If for example, Joe Blogs buys 20 DAFS and 10 developed faults over 3 years....this would be the same ratio as say someone buying 4 Renaults and 2 getting faults over 3 years.
      You just have ALOT more drivers shouting about issues, this is why I think I can do 7 days a week just fixing DAFS, whereas if I did a channel on Renaults, I'd be unable to upload once a week.
