I have a Daf like this and chanced batteries myself. Brand new batteries, 10 percent acxording to the dash. After 3 or 4 days i read 100 percent.No problems, done great for 1,5 years.

hi again buddy, yes trucks are getting to complicated but i feel the manufactures are only responding to the guidelines set out by the governments. like we have a clutch on the alternator now also for NGD.
The red with the blue tip you tucked out the way is part of the engine fire suppression system. They usually have parts sticking out every so often along the length so its further over the engine and in theory, will detect and suppress a fire earlier

Hi buddy, yes we have had the same issues as you with mx-13. We have had recalls for camshafts and I still see about 2 trucks a month with failed camshafts that are outside the chassis range RECALL specified by DAF. I love the product buddy, but the older stuff certainly has had less issues in my eyes 👀
Good video, that sensor you found under hatch is a fire sensor guessing it has fire suppression, also great access on a vanhool can go in the sides 👌🏼 that barcode reader 🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼
One of the injectors breaks down under heat and leaves fault codes for injectors 1, 2 and 3 open or short-circuit if I remember correctly. You can test them but they will come back fine 😬 if I had a Delphi fuel injection test rig I could warm up to engine temperature I'd be able to find the faulty injector 😂😂😂😂
I had an injector once which had been reconditioned and was missing 1 digit in the code so I left the old code in and fitted it. The engine knocked and smoked, that was the first and last time I tried to change injectors without using the trim code. If it wasn't necessary....why would you need to calibrate them

You will make fortune on coaches as not many people like working on them but then again no one wants to work atall,would imagine you in high demand as most good mechanics are. Up in scotland even 💩 mechanics are wanted as no one can get them, think in next few years you will need to be a computer wizz to fix anything. Work has new MANs and all can say is they 💩 but that only my opinion keep up the good work 👍
That bus engine bay is rather well thought out, almost like they didn't want anyone to poke around there.. That barcode reader looking thing for the injector codes is amazing.
This vanhool isn't too bad to get into buddy, I did a irizar the other week and that was just nasty lol Yes DAF do one for the DAVIE where you scan the data matrix on the injector. That's why I get new injectors from delphi.....recon injectors just have a printed trim code on the side which takes ages to type in 😑😑😑😑

Im a truck mechanic from the US, are paccars over there suffering camshaft failure like here? Do you like the paccar engine?

At what cylinder acceleration value does the injector need to be replaced?
good question, I dont think ive ever come across any information on RMI referring to it for replacement only fuel leak off quantity and UBD values.
