    Yes you can clearly see the difference in quality in the old part and new,,,,,The old part is all plastic including the ring and connector and the hose is clamped on with a plastic ring,,The new aftermarket part is all metal,,The ring ,,the connector and there is a very substantial metal ring holding the hose on,,That 3G part is to be applauded,,No crappy brittle plastic there,,

    When you said about him and parts I thought….no way hes gone for a Fan from DAF. Last one I bought was £1200 plus vat maybe more. It didn’t disappoint.
    I have seen Cojali make a fan for them are they any good? I find anything that doesnt come in a daf box tends to last a year if youre lucky.
    Good work always learn a lot from your work.

      Think the fan from daf was £800 plus VAT from daf.
      Daf parts work but come with the "think of a price and tripple it"
      It asked Eclipse to see about getting some cojali parts over to see what the quality, durability and most importantly the cost is on DAF stuff 👍 watch this space is all I can say!

    As usual: Great job! Same can't be said of the workshop that replaced all the sensors. Even with just some system knowledge a mechanic should know that all these sensors have the power supply in common, I'm also pretty sure that the fault tree in DAVIE would guide you to this conclusion. Or is it just my expectations that are too high here?

    • @TRUCKTECHUK
      @TRUCKTECHUK  3 месяца назад +2

      From my experience, it's expectations buddy 😂😂😂. There is a big gap between dealer information and joe bloggs with jaltest in a workshop doing everything. I was in 2 minds on doing the video but seeing as 2 garages got it wrong I did this to help everyone out. Hopefully this will make the gap in the knowledge base smaller when people google even if its not as technical as I'd of liked 👍

      Hey Alan thanks for the comment. If I supply parts it will be stuff I know works and I try and educate the customer on what you can save on and what's best to go O.E. with such as Nox sensors. End of the day manufacturers SHOULD give 12 month's warranty on parts......but I've yet to try and pit that to the test, maybe this fan hub will the one lol

      @@TRUCKTECHUKI've only worked with companies that use Daf trucks and have had multiple nox failures on trucks I've driven. Each and every time they got replaced with OEM and there is a big reason for it. It's easy to have a third party part that is metal and nothing else. When it comes to sensors and such you can be damn sure there is a good reason OEM parts are more expensive.
