Any available plot of land whether its brown or green they willingly build on but never, never add to the infrastructure & then everything else gets blocked & congested including adding shops, schools or medical centres. All done on the cheap & the council get their council tax money but never re-invest it & then complain about poverty at council meetings. They are all corrupt & sleazy.
Well done keeping cool. Welcome to my life. I need to collect machines after the sites are done. It’s ball ache. The new housing infrastructure is terrible nearly every house has minimum 2 cars no drive ways it’s a joke. Cars on corners people just abandon everywhere
Sadly these new developments don’t have any parking. Everyone is on top of each other parking on the road. Another British masterpiece…would love to meet the developer and ask him/her what exactly is in their brain …
@globalmomad450 - I agree - it's just pure profit / their reasoning being how many people can they squeeze into a small as possible plot. On a new development near our village it all kicked off about a year ago and was in the local papers - all the fighting was down to parking issues due to lack of driveways.
All new developments in Glasgow have plenty of room ,as cars are not aloud to park two wheels on the footpath .it is now illegal. So there is plenty of room .the planers that gives the go ahead for these developments aren't the sharpest knife in the drawer 😊
Yeah it's bad how many people will die from ambulance's or fire engines not being able to get through? Tho when we were all taxed into the earth and have to give up our cars at least then the rescue services will be able to get through.
I used to work for a housebuilder. In situations like that, when ordering, we gave detailed instructions as to vehicle routes, size of vehicle etc. We often found out that the driver's office hadn't passed on the information to the driver.
A good site agent will know all that is being delivered and have worked out his site to suite. They want the lorries in and and turned round as quick as possible as it might impede work already being done. You save time and more importantly money and your working staff appreciate it because they are on bonus and that keeps them happy. The customers see`s a busy site and is pleased because his build is on time. But like i say the agent has to know what he is doing.
That Red Row estate oh my god what a horrid dump to live on. The people are all town or city people, them sort that say "my car is bigger than your" type, they jog in the mornings, early morning walk coffee in one hand and a phone in the other they don't have a clue on how to drive........ City people thick as...............!!!!!!!!! Great vlog and great driving mate
It always amazes me when site managers book deliveries on artics (presumably because delivery is cheaper than 2 rigids), then complain when an artic turns up at a site that is too small for artics 🤷♂️🤷♂️
Hi Luck next time you're in the supermarket get yourself a dozen or so of the cheap carrier bags and put them over your boots ideal if you don't want a load of unwanted mud on your boots.
Hi Luke what happened to the forkie did he fork off ? Sure I have heard a song about that 🤣 As a forkie myself that was a scary watch as the biggest no no is raising the load while turning plus being quite away from the truck the centre of gravity is lost it’s the recipe for a roll over also grabbing the wheel handle after raising it up it should always be held with your left hand 😊👌
Overbuilding that’s problem, don’t make it safe and wide enough to get deliveries on sites, ridiculous the building sites in the uk are. Overpopulated and cramp UK government needs to wake and smell the coffee
Hi Luke, that first tip in Bristol looked snug for an 8 wheeler to get in! The M4 to M32 is a pain if you aren't sure where you need to go yet everyone else does😳 if I get sent to the site I was loading out of again then I will go past Southmead hospital to avoid a tight left turn😉 have a good week. Oh and I now drive for Fryer hire and Construction who were opposite you and the other trucking vloggers at Truckfest South West this year😊 hopefully I will be there with them next year
Very weird watching you in the yard at Parsonage Road since I used to work on that site from 1989 till 2001 at a company latterly called Automotive Coatings Ltd. It was in the units now occupied by Howard Tenens Logistics, who were involved in our transport. Very different from then...🙂🙂
Great video I understand your pain with sites I do delivers for celcon / h and h . Most off the times ment to be crain jobs .they neather tell the customer it's coming on a flat .celcon book which vehicle mostly. Depending on wot blocks the site needs well great driveing . The forklift drivers get grumpy course there kept so busy
I got caught up in an over ordered delivery in London. I had to drive out with the load and park up. Next day the same thing happened and the following day. We must've earned more money on demurrage over those 3 days than the transport.
Yeah building sites can be fun i did deliver to a fair few when i drove with Schenker, and even when you been there before the site by it's very nature change rapidly, and the gate you used last time might be gone.
i followed a UPS driver once when i arrived in glasgow i though simple ill follow him , and he went home to his house and i was rite behind him he got out at home and said i live here mate im skiving ,
Luke , I'm sure , having delivered to many building sites , that these new estates look very pretty on a ' view from above ' map , with little curvy roads ,like octopus tentacles , BUT these ' alleged intelligent 'people who design them , don't seem to take into account how the building materials are going to get on site because they DO NOT do the delivering , the roads are far too narrow and bendy , imagine being a bin truck driver who has to negotiate this nightmare every week , hats off to those guys eh ? Those telehandlers , to me , are the ultimate toy , they save so much time and are just awesome .
This job will soon be impossible to do with the ridiculous amount of traffic - particularly cars - on these roads. Also the lack of truckstops - had to find a dodgy spot last night at Lymm 'cos I got there after 6 pm!
Have been watching a few of the drivers I watch driving about the country, and I'm sure the motorways are getting more manic. Anyway, you didn't need the tipper lorry to find the building site, just need to follow the brown roads🤣🤣. Whilst your waiting to unload, you're saying it looks like the school run. I bet a lot of people have cheered that they'll have to wait, the problems they always cause when stopping at schools to drop kids off, and I'm one of them🤣. Love it. Personally, its the site's fault. They should have facted this into when discussing it in the early stages of the building work. Obviously, I don't know, but is that road a rat-run I wonder? The cars are using it instead of going round. Anyway, what is the site bloke saying that they didn't expect an artic, its carrying a whole lot of tons of brick, what do they expect for it to be brought in
Dont know how you keep so calm with those rules & regs & traffic issues. I was a fully qualified C+E military driver. License then lapsed. 10 years later i reactivated it (the C+E) via a video on Medicals that you suggested. Did my CPC which wasn't 'thing' last time I drove & got my digi Tacho Card. I have come to the conclusion that driving is toooo high risk now with all the potential 'gotchas' that a driver faces including driving down those narrow roads. Low bridges. Crappy route planning. Complete nightmare. High risk of a coronary from stress & not a high reward financially certainly not thru the Agencies i have experienced in my neck of the woods.
@@Stl-vs7gm no. Nope. I broke a tail lift, a headlight lens and grazed a fuel hose at the yard. At my exit interview I told Matt about the ridiculous rumours circulating amongst the drivers, being monitored on the tracker was a major one, live camera feeds from the in cab cameras... he said the drivers are like gossiping old women. I'm an FLT operator in the UK, and this bloke was totally out of order. However, some HGV drivers seem clueless as to how to park up in a tight yard. I've had one bloke park up, which made offloading him impossible. When I tried to explain, he got incredibly defensive and nasty frankly.

Half-finished sites always cause problems. Needs clever people booking deliveries once too many houses are handed over.

They do everything but plan for delivery’s , the one I hated was we’ve had bigger than you in here 🤬🤬🤬
