‘Alex Murdaugh Stole It’: CFO Testifies Disgraced Lawyer Swindled Millions from Law Firm and Clients

- The former CFO of PMPED testified that Alex Murdaugh allegedly swindled millions of dollars from clients over the years working at his family's law firm. “Alex Murdaugh stole it,” Jeannie Seckinger said about one of the many large checks signed and received by the disgraced South Carolina lawyer. Seckinger testified that the law firm was stuck repaying the misappropriated funds, stating that at least one client is still owed money to this day.

Makes one wonder how many lawyers are doing this.
Greed is an age-old phenomenon, and it doesn’t just happen in law firms in rural South Carolina. Remember Lehman Brothers and Arthur Anderson on Wall Street in cahoots stealing client’s money, and one of the biggest, most sophisticated auditing firms in the U.S. backing every thieving move.

We just settled a lawsuit case with a nursing home. And were told that the nursing home has what they call a eroding policy only paid after Thor attorneys and our attorney was paid leaving us only 40,000 to split between me and my siblings after the death of my mom. Eroding policies should be outlawed.
Well this guy is special. He not only has no morals, but he has great acting and convincing skills, great charming skills and no qualms about killing people. So we should not generalize based on this evil individual.
Alex tried to stare down and intimidate previous witnesses but he wants no part of this woman and averts eye contact.
life is a game to him even with his family going back and seeing the way he blew out the candles in the middle of his guest singing happy birthday. That alone is rude as all get out and the only person I see doing that would be a kid just being a kid. He is the worst to be thinking this is going to get swept under the rug like his pat life. He might as well go ahead and figure out how to deal with himself for the rest of his crappy life. If the money issues weren't noticed like they were then they probably all would have lost the whole law firm.
Oh god, he’s a psychopath, he couldn’t care less what people think of him. If he’s backing down, it’s to seem sympathetic. It’s all an act.
I mean, how on earth could you look her in the eye. She found out you were a thief. She knows. She blew the whistle (maybe a lot later than she should have but still). His son has already proved to be a cheater and asked to leave his school. Apple don’t fall far from the tree!
Buster was not "asked" to leave his school--He was EXPELLED his very first semester of law school for plagiarism. His father has paid a family friend who is Assistant Dean $60,000 to facilitate his readmission--I doubt that bribe was legal, or that the Asst. Dean accepted it and made efforts to readmit him. Buster will probably never get into law school, and certainly not @ USC--nor does he deserve it! His GPA was 1.0 at the time he was expelled. A total lack of character and ethics in this family!
Buster won’t get into any law school. He’s poison now. Paul was a problem was drinking around his parents when he was way too young to drink. Hit his girlfriend, thought he could do whatever he wanted etc. Buster cheats as soon as he gets to law school. I mean, I’m not trying to dis on the 2 deceased people but obviously the mom didn’t try to control either boy ever and the 911 call about Gloria Satterfields call was one of the boys being an arrogant little jerk when the woman that helped raise them was bleeding on the floor. No one in that family had a strong moral compass it seems. They thought Paul’s drinking was funny and posted pictures on social media showing him drinking way too young. He's fired and they took his name off the building.... Only thing they could do to save any type of face was pay all those victims money back, especially if they have it in their firms account. To steal victims money is so reprehensible.
I think she's furiously p o .. I think he committed the murder because they were onto him. How do you pay back that many millions of dollars
You really should correct your post. They forced him to resign as soon as they realized what was going on and had all the evidence.
He has so much going for him; cheating, check, theft, check, lies, check, murder,.......
Has he done anything right?
Demon offspring too…
@@bamazing2731 That's the spirit, just keep adding on the vices that he has. They are what makes him, him.
He will be fine ,watch
He's done. It's crazy how much he messed up in under a decade. They had that law firm for 100 years
A fitting end to the Murdaugh legacy
This is pure human GREED !!!!
She's so over him...And understandably so! He won't even dare looking at her, pretending to be busy🤮
He's busy writing his commissary list 🤣🤣🤣🤣
She hates him
No she's disgusted with him and how they all scrambled to find the settlement money in the accounts of legit ppl in this law firm. Hate has nothing to do with it. It's disgust over unprofessionalism.
Yeah, I noticed that.
This is what greed and arrogance will get you.
So hard to believe that this went on for so long undetected. How can you run a big dollar firm like this without conducting periodic Internal as well as External Financial Audits by an outside source. This firm not knowing that these shady transactions were taking place just does not add up!
As the CFO, she is a partner in the business. ALL of the partners are making personal financial sacrifices to pay the clients the $$$$ they are owed. I doubt HER salary is anywhere near that of the attorneys! Her brother-in-law is Russell Lafitte, the former CEO of Palmetto State Bank. He is currently in prison for 35 years because he aided Alex in stealing $2 million.
It didn't go undetected, it went unpunished and allowed to continue.
@@straycats6 Alex was probably paying back a good deal of what he stole until the recession. At that point, he couldn't pay it back. I'm not taking up for Alex--just stating that they may have had a good reason not to suspect him right away.
Yeah I kept asking myself where was the book keeper all those years ? Or was he that good at changing the numbers making it seem different then what it was suppose to be .
@@lexiaaforever437 Alex M. paid back some of the people. When the economy went south, he couldn't keep up with the payments (similar to a Ponzi scheme).
And why do most people think lawyers are snakes.
I think Alex has been before the
Law Board and was dis barred
Over the house keepers settlement...which he stated he took her money an did not give it to her family. Such a deadbeat as a person.
This lady takes her job seriously. Way to go! Stay safe. ❤️ ❤️
One hundred percent she is one intelligent woman! Wow so impressive to see her in action to get Justice for the clients. I bet they have so much business more to handle.
So greedy. Disgusting
How could he have done this multiple times without them knowing.
As a law office administrator for a lot of years, I can say I do not know. I have tried to figure it out….
Because Alex was pounding this CFO that's how......I mean....Look at her keep staring at Alex like hahaha I got you this time........He was pounding that donkey
Because this CFO was not doing a good job. That's why. The other option is that she was in on it.
I think they knew because she just said “all the partners put up their own money “ in talking about paying people back so I don’t understand why this is just now coming out and why they didn’t say anything sooner.
@@allielonberg1847 of course the partners put up their own money. The partners own the law firm. Alex certainly wasn't going to pay it back. The partners paying the firm's clients the money stolen from them by Alex has nothing to do with the partners knowing that Alex was stealing.
So he stole millions over years??? My question is what was the CFO doing that she didn’t have a clue???
Alex kept saying how much he cared about his clients. He wouldn't even spring for a hotel room for one of the clients he stole from when the client's spouse was dying. Alex = low-life, crocodile tears, druggie, bully, thief, coward while trading off the respectability of his family name.
Her broinlaw Russell Lefitte was CEO at Palmetto State Bank. He helped AM steal approx $2million in 2012 .Checks deposited in his bank were misdirected to AM acct and he used it to pay off loans and personal bills. The money was supposed to go to accounts for which Lefitte was Conservator.. In other words, they were stealing from people incompetent to handle their own finances such as elderly and disabled.
It’s a shame that he can use the stolen money to pay for expensive defense attorneys.
I DON'T THINK HIS LAWERS THATS REPRESENTING HIM RIGHT NOW ARE GOING TOO SEE A DIME
@@lauradavis8949 They may be accomplices as well...
Money was the root of his evil 😢
It's actually "the LOVE of money is the root of all evil." It takes human involvement to make it evil.
It’s the LOVE of money…1Ti 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
@@Galinkaman - Correct!
@@CDAinVA Ouch!
The love of money is the root of all evil.
The damage he has done to the law firm and the trust lost, will be felt for decades. Now clients should double check the lawyers. Destroyed the Murdock family.
