This case makes for a real interesting case study, but only because it's a case with only circumstantial evidence! So how are we supposed to be able to study this case if we don't get to see the body cam footage being shown to the jury? How are we supposed to believe it IS a fair & just trial!
The fact that he stopped to say, “how ya doing” to a stranger walking by in the middle of speaking to the police, seems the most damning to me.

For the brutality of the murders, I think it reflects the rage he had at losing everything he had cheated others out of. He KNEW they were dead. That’s the way he planned it.

I noticed Buster smirking, at one point, while testimony going on. Just odd that this is graphic testimony with images about how his mother and brother were found dead, and pops is on trial for the murders. How could he even muster a smile.

Saw that too, wondered if it was a nervous smile. Sometimes if I’m nervous during something traumatic I can giggle out of nervousness. That’s not what I see.

I have definitely thought about the possibility that he is just taking the fall for his son, not a far reach in my opinion especially with how weird he is acting & he will be testifying in support of his dad so it’ll be interesting to watch.

I was thinking the same thing. If Paul was threatened as much as Al says he was, I’d have cameras everywhere especially having the kind of money the Murdaughs had. That is a huge red flag 🚩.
Alex told the cops that they only had deer cameras out in the fields, no other ones. I think that seems very odd with all the alleged threats.

It's a very "elected official" like response IMO they oftentimes seem to have an auto pilot mode when interacting with the public in day to day situations, they default to friendly greetings so as not to ever come off rude or pretentious in those interactions. I know Alex isn't elected but he holds a similar standing in his community so I'm not at all surprised that he responded in auto pilot with an almost friendly or upbeat greeting while in the middle of a very traumatic experience.

The fact that Alex is ‘so clean’ could be his downfall given he says he tried to check the victims for a pulse. Wouldn’t he have blood on his hands if he tried to do that? If he washed his hands…why hasn’t he said he did? I suspect he changed his clothes somehow and cleaned up quickly before calling law enforcement.
Water hose! There's water around Paul's body. Water that could be explained away as a dog bowl knocked over but really is blood and gunshot residue. It's as if he waterboarded his son after he murdered him. Idk if that's been explained at trial...all that water(?). Shark eyes Alex is as cold blooded as they come. Faked being nice that night in texts "Call me babe" after Maggie was dead...and an expert witness testified that was the only text in which he called her babe.
Normal people can't wrap.their brains around this type of evil. How kind of him to Check for a pulse on his headless son that, "They did so bad." !?

I am stunned with the question “ they are dead”- both victims have massive head wounds, of course they’re dead. The very idea he( AM) claimed to try to turn Paul over, check a pulse and there was no blood on Alex’s hands, clothing, knees anywhere, it doesn’t add up.
also, Alec would've been wading in blood (per other officer's testimony, both bodies surrounded by puddles of blood) and it would've been all over his shoes

There should be cell phone data from both Paul and Alex's phones that they 'rode around for two hours on the property' earlier in the evening. I think he was trying to put together a 'one big happy family' take to this. I hope the testimony from Maggie's friends that she was asked by Alex to come to the property 'so they could go visit Alex's dying father' is given in court. Maggie was suspicious of Alex and said to them she thought he was up to something. If true, there goes his alibi right there.
When he was in the police car he said they had driven around for 40 minutes.

He was there, he did it..point, blank, period.
The main factor that's missing from this as far as behaviours go, is that AM should be screaming at the cops to get to Buster and get his mothers home where Miss Shelly was. If he truly believed there was a shooter coming for his family, he would have immediately sought to make sure those other 'targets' as family members, would be safe. He didn't. He says that's why he got the gun from the house and returned to the scene but that makes no sense to not be even screaming for the cops to get officers over to both those locations to check on Buster and his momma.
How is it that this family is SO prominent and SO well known as everyone claims yet every single officer in every single one of these videos has no idea who they are everytime they’re asked if they had known or knew of the family?
Well it's because the prosecution only wants to use officers that weren't close with the Murdoch's.
Well these are the first on the scene officers, not officers that don’t know them.

I got it had to do with a property she would not relinquish & immediately thought of Moselle as it was in her name but when I asked to confirm this I interpreted it as no & have been confused every since. Why I didn't think of Edisto Idk but you just put a piece of the puzzle together for me I've been stumped over for months!
He admitted she did not like living at the ‘ranch’. She was being pressured to sign over the beach house. Maybe she threatened to disclose his financial misdeeds if he let the bank take it. She must have known about some of them. Likely knew about him stealing the dead housekeeper’s sons’ insurance settlement.

I understand the scene was horrible, for instance, Paul's brain was blown out of his head. I think I would have been on the ground, screaming, vomiting, hysterically sobbing (with real tears) and would have crawled through a bed of nails to hold my child. I can't imagine being cognizant of someone walking by and saying to them "hey how ya doing". Nor would I have the wherewithal to be thinking of my phone, much less using it.

There are too many holes in his story, it's our understanding Maggie was staying at the beach house due to problems in the marriage, Paul Invited her to Mozell to spend time together. If that's true why does Alex decide to go see his mother at an odd time of night and why not all of them go. Then right when the first officer arrived he starts blaming the bogie man due to the boat wreck Paul was involved in. I'd like to think you'd be on your knees performing life saving steps on you family screaming help me help me , not i better drive back to the house and get a shot gun
Not forgetting Alex changed Maggies will AFTER her murder, by crossing out certain words and putting her initials over it, something you're not allowed to do in that state without a second witness present, leaving everything to Alex and nothing to Maggies sister as she was originally intended.

I think there are too many lawyers walking round during witness testimonies. It is very distracting.
I noticed that, too. His defense attorney was all over the place, pacing while questioning. I had a hard time hearing him, at times. They should have the attorneys stand at a podium or at least have a microphone on them so it's clear what they are saying!
Wondering if they are doing this on purpose to distract the jury. Should not be allowed.

It's protected by the court. Sensitive material. Horrific state of the bodies. They describe brain matter all over and how they could see inside maggie's skull. I don't think anyone wants to see that. It gives the victims dignity and not have their mutilated bodies all over the Internet for no reason. Only the court, lawyers etc and jury need to see it. Unfortunately for them.

Definitely, that was an acting job on his part. He just blew his son’s head off and all he has is some fake acting. Not a single tear.

Sorry, but the point some folks are missing is that it was obvious his wife and child were dead and yet he said he tried to take their pulse. That right there is a huge red flag. The fact he is detached enough to acknowledge a stranger during the process is another. The fact he shows every single subconscious sign of fear when being questioned in the car is another. He should not be showing fear. He also puts his hand to his face and pinches his eyes with thumb and forefinger and then rubs them together to see if he's managed to shed some tears (which he hasn't) this is another huge red flag. His story to the police uses storytelling language in recounting events, in chronological order, which distraught victims are often unable to do. When supposedly upset, his face does not react how it should; there is no grief muscle engagement and there are no tears. We see the tissue being used as a prop only. When you sob, the tear overflow runs down your nose, which as anyone knows causes the nose to run. This does not happen. We have some attempts to sniff but they are dry. In the middle of telling his story, he often flicks his eyes to the detective in an attempt to see if he's being believed. Even in court, he is cold. You can say that people react differently BUT, he doesn't even show emotion when the scenes are replayed in court. Because he can't. He's a psychopath. There is a pretence and a real physical effort made to cry when the bodies are shown, which fails and he just fiddles with his pen as an adapter. This guy is guilty as sin and his own body tells us that.

This trial will be dependant on technology, body-cams/phone records, the Defence attorney is struggling to master these exhibits in the courtroom! He's too slow, keeps pausing, rephrasing his sentences, he's clearly confused...... His client the defendant is constantly animated, doesn't sit still for a second! They've lost already.

Typically when someone goes into a lot of unneeded detail, as AM did right away about their day, it’s a red flag of guilt.
This was a horrific murder to say the least! I truly believe Alex was in so much debt that he killed his wife for the money and her property assets. I believe he killed his son Paul because his son was interrupting his on criminal activity and frankly ALEX,PAUL AND BUSTER were 3extremely selfish individuals all living in a world of privilege and luxury. They just watched Maggie and Paul be murdered in front of them, and there was nothing they could do, although they considered it their job to protect them. They were LABS. ;(. What a shame no one was even there to comfort them.
