Helpless rage. When yelling at that little POS to *stop smiling!!* Alex belongs in jail for killing his son, but it sounds more & more like he did the world a service.
I wonder how many deaths this family has blood on... It makes me think this has been going on for generations. So sad, the people who went along with them should be ashamed. If people didn't enable them this wouldn't have gotten worse.
The fact that Mallory, Stephen and Gloria's deaths are treated as just a footnote in this whole saga is so tragic. This man deserves the electric chair. I'm sure SC still has one somewhere.
They have left a trail of death in their wake! Gloria Satterfields death was not an accident, she found or heard something Alex didn't want told! Stephen Smith's death I believe was at the hand in part by a Murdaugh. I also believe a Murdaugh ordered or orchestrated the unplugging of Hakeem's ventilator 3 days after Alex received a settlement in his and his mother's accident. That $ was stolen by Alex. Oh the financial destruction and deaths that are branded with the Murdaugh name! Including Paul and Maggie! I have no doubt Alex assinated in cold blood without an ounce of remorse his wife and son. Motive $ power greed drugs anger
Don't forget the clients that have died because they couldn't get proper care because Alex stole their settlement, he should be accountable for that, what about that man that died because all of a sudden his plug came out overnight to keep his machine going, really, they need to look into that. Alex is pure evil, when he die, the devil 👿 is going to be at his door to reject Alex, devil's reject.
I grew up in a suburb in middle Georgia and there was white families throughout our community like this (we were the only black family in our neighborhood). I knew a kid that had 5 DUIs by 19 and never spent a night in jail. You'd be surprised how much trouble money can get you out of. One of my best friend's dad murdered his ex wife in a Wal Mart parking lot then killed himself. He'd beat her for years but the police would show up and never locked him up. My friends mom finally left him and he stalked her and the police still did nothing until he finally killed her. I've seen a lot of the darkside of affluent families.
@@plutoloco2378 Apparently, Stephen told his friends that he was seeing someone from a prominent family, and that if people knew who it was-Hampton would “turn upside down”. Surely his friends picked up on whom Stephen was talking about, and in a small town gossip travels fast. My father was a policeman in Lexington, Kentucky for many years, which included the 1960's and 70's. He was very well educated and could have easily pursued higher positions within the department, but always refused because of the local politics. He said he wanted no part in it. I guess some things never change.
Paul was the type of kid I would have avoided like the plague in high school. But then you peak behind the closed doors!!! I feel so grateful for an ordinary upbringing with regular, loving parents! These are some tortured people!!! 😩
Smoothie people that knew him have said he was a really sweet person and did anything for anyone and was a hard worker who was kind and generous with his time where he regularly checked on his grandparent’s etc .. I think they have really trashed this kid who im unsure he was the driver but even if he was he’s now paid with his life and I don’t think its there to judge him on a 1 horrible night … I understand why you said this because nobody says anything in the media except this same narrative over and over and it’s not all true about what they have said he had a ton of friends and one man in court was saying that paul are used to take his little son fishing etc.. his young son just adored him because he was so good with him . I think Paul had some with alcohol, and apparently he was a bad person when he drank like a lot of people, but that wasn’t who he was all the time ya know?
His parents encouraged him to drink at age 16. His girlfriend said she never drank before until she started dating Paul and then they'd go to his parents house and everybody was drinking. The cops saw them drinking and didn't stop them. Paul developed a different, aggressive personality when he was drinking. Red Flags everywhere. And a 16 year old is too stupid to fix themselves. Paarents need to step in and take control. That didn't happen.
Watching Mallory’s parents on Netflix is so heartbreaking & the videos of her growing up. She had her whole life ahead of her. What a disgusting family. They didn’t care one bit about anyone other than themselves. Hope justice is served

Only people i feel sorry for are the innocent victims of this crazy family. Shame on the local officials who let all of this happen. They should all lose their jobs too.
The Murdaugh's power was so entrenched, and it went back over a century. The local officials of today were powerless. Alex will be gone but his brothers will fill his spot. Truly a sad situation for that community.
He is a monster, he stole from people who were poor or black that could not defend themselves. What he did to the Black Community, Poor, and LGBTQ Community he deserves LIFE IN PRISON.
You are trying to make too much common sense out of helter skelter chaotic nonsense. This is what Alex has always been good at. Creating chaos. Do not lose your focus. Ever. He has anxiety. Let's make him feel it🤯. How can we disturb his world by creating ghosts and making him feel guilty?
“Alex collected approximately $4.3 million in commercial insurance following Gloria's death on his land. The Satterfield family's attorneys eventually concluded that Alex had stolen this money which should have gone to their clients, and Alex Murdaugh has now apologized, and officially agreed to a $4.3 million settlement with Gloria's surviving relatives.” I’ll believe that when I see it.
Can you imagine losing your mother in such a way and being evicted from your home just to find out there was $4.3 million dollars that was rightfully yours that was stolen from you and your brother. Mannnn....
My understanding is that the the other members of the firm are paying what Alex owes to the victims, over 5 million dollars. One bright light in this mess.
@@Spring_Forward_Fall_Back oh i dont know about that. From what i herd is that the money would come from the sale of the murdaugh estate. The estate was worth 4.3 million.

Uncontrollable rich spoiled brats that know nothing about accepting responsibility. This was the closest thing to justice Paul would receive for taking Mallorys life.
I don't know about justice. Its sad because Paul was still a kid at the end of the day. Clearly he was an alcoholic with overly permissive and neglectful parents. Justice would have been Paul staying alive to face accountability for what he did...how can someone's father killing his son ever be just retribution.

I watched the Netflix documentary just yesterday. This family is so rotten who left deaths and destruction behind them. And the part that makes me most angry is how they were protected by the police and court after killing Mallory, Stephen and Gloria.
Police let Maggie Murdaugh and their grandfather murdaugh down to the crime scene, but stopped Mallorys mother from going down so she just had to sit back and watch as the Murdaughs got to go to the boat but she couldnt go look for her daughter down there.
You realize that Netflix documentaries are always biased in the opinion of the producers. Bc I have seen a RUclips channel where they live in the area and investigated the Murdaughs and it’s not what the media and streaming platforms tell you. These kids didn’t have to get back on the boat when they were in town but did. Easy to attack and accuse people who are dead an unable to defend themselves.
@@phoenixmerridian9119 Ikr! That makes me furious! A missing woman's mother wasn't allowed at the "crime scene" but the Murdaughs were? Paul was the prime suspect so why did the police allow Murdaughs at the crime scene? This case was badly manipulated by the Murdaughs and the police.
Yes, I feel so badly for Mallory, Steven and Gloria, none of them deserved what happened to them, yet all their lives were cut short because of this poisonous family.
The true victims are the young girl in the boat crash, Mallory and the young openly gay boy Steve who was in the same high school as Paul, whose families never got justice for them!
This family is highly narcissistic and disgusting. I’m so glad the girlfriend disagreed with him!! That was a blow to his ego! What an egotistical human being.

The epitome of what happens when children are raised on a self-serving pedestal, the most important teachings in life centered around greed, power and image. Zero accountability, and those around them in positions of authority (cut from the same cloth) perpetuate the harm. This evil BS has been passed down thru each generation. isn't this kind of the same entitlement we see within the Catholic Church and the impunity with which child molesters are protected and children are not? Power and impunity are found throughout human society and I am not sure it has anything to do with child rearing.

The Housekeeper mysteriously died then he created an insurance scam around her death. He's killed before!
And probably so much more we don't know about!
Absolutely 💯. I have a hard time watching trial because it makes me so mad. All the killings tied to this family and no justice to be served! Especially for sweet Mallory
Oh yes, he has!
Yes, indeed. Alex murdaugh was involved in the death of his housekeeper. Alex murdaugh is a cold-blooded killer. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
Yes!!!!
The absolute helpless feeling they had when he says “Good Luck, that’s Alex Maurdaugh’s son.”
IKR, I knew exactly what he meant and I'm not even from SC. When someone says something like that it's automatic that you know what they mean.
Helpless rage. When yelling at that little POS to *stop smiling!!* Alex belongs in jail for killing his son, but it sounds more & more like he did the world a service.
Not to mention their house keeper

There's probably alot of people holding their breath. Seems like everyone in a position of power us corrupt AF.

Because Alex is ultimately taking all the blame
Because that wasn’t the priority given all the murders
Because people like murdaugh have officers in their back pocket. I'm from sumter County & the whole state is like that. It's all about who you know.
Because the police investigates police.
I wonder how many deaths this family has blood on... It makes me think this has been going on for generations. So sad, the people who went along with them should be ashamed. If people didn't enable them this wouldn't have gotten worse.
You are joking right? Paul killed M. Beach ...and he didnt do that on purpose. He was certainly to blame. Anything else is hearsay ....
There is a good book about the case and the whole family history. “The Devil at his Elbow ”
I think both Stephen and Gloria’s cases have been reopened now.
Nope, they recently changed the law and it’s now back to the firing squad! He deserves everything he gets! I hope justice is served!
There are many more victims.
There is a lot of families who live above the law in the states and all over the world .. they are just not under the spotlight !!

That’s right!
It's world wide
In just about every small town.
People need to start getting those out
No family should have such influence in a community. Everyone must be held liable for any wrong doing.
😂😂😂 in what bubble do you live in? There are so many families like these
I grew up in a suburb in middle Georgia and there was white families throughout our community like this (we were the only black family in our neighborhood).
That's how America is, everywhere in America. This is the result of extreme capitalistic system.
The murdaughs are small potatoes compared to the Clintons.
It’s even worse in a communist system. Much worse.

Only people i feel sorry for are the innocent victims of this crazy family. Shame on the local officials who let all of this happen. They should all lose their jobs too.

When Mallory's family got their revenge on the Murdaughs without lifting a finger was so gratifying. They, the Murdaughs, destroyed themselves.
“Alex collected approximately $4.3 million in commercial insurance following Gloria's death on his land. The Satterfield family's attorneys eventually concluded that Alex had stolen this money which should have gone to their clients, and Alex Murdaugh has now apologized, and officially agreed to a $4.3 million settlement with Gloria's surviving relatives.”

Exactly. Its too bad you can't convict a person just because they keep lying over and over about the event. I mean - all the lies alone make him look guilty. If he didn't do it - all he has to do is tell the truth about that night. But - no - over and over with lies.
You have my vote
No taxpayer should agree to have their taxes paid to keep Alex alive. He should be given the death penalty.
Problem is there is no way the prosecution has proven beyond a reasonable doubt that he did it. I'm not saying he's innocent at all but I will bet you anything there's either a hung jury or he's acquitted.
@@bryanbrown292 Yes, but the jury is told that if they believe someone told one lie on the stand, they are allowed to assume any or every thing said was a lie.
What a way to destroy the family name that brought you everything you could possibly want. GREED kills.
It will largely be forgotten like the rat droppings in the Kit Kat bars. They'll be recalled and people will be right back buying them and eating them
Right? I could understand the family removing their kids parking tickets or something minimal like that - but this family took their “privilege” to a whole criminal level 😶
Right, makes you wonder what his Alex's father or grandfather may have done in the past.
Not just greed. Entitlement too
@@Getchrochet2016Who knows? But Grandpa's portrait was on display in the courthouse. The Judge had it taken down before trial proceedings began.
Thank you Scott for promoting kindness! Everything you said I totally agree with. I believe Ann was a good person and most definitely some mental illness. I think she was a talented person and I am very sad about what happened to her. She will be missed by many people. So glad you went back to show her grave stone. Take care Scott and be safe on your journeys.
I blame local law enforcement and the surrounding community as well. Continuing to take bribes and treat these people as if they are above the law, simply because they have money. You enabled these monsters and allowed them to thrive. Absolutely no moral compass.
💯💯💯
Yup
Very well stated. Taking bribes big time and always looking the other way.....caught up with them didn't it.
Self esteem for the caretaker was diminished by AM family ,she was over qualified to go to that house and picking up laudry
Happens all the time in small backwoods towns like this
The Netflix documentary is really good! It gives so much clarity on what is happening.
I was thinking about it, am gonna watch it
Totally agree. It completely changed my opinion of Paul.
It was a biased documentary lol
@@A7X062388 What did you find biased?
@@cocoaddams4502
Netflix documentaries are always biased. Even though I believe he’s guilty, I personally don’t like Netflix releasing things that greatly sway public opinion before trials are complete.
my husband was hit by a truck he was on a bicycle an he was knocked out of his work boots they were still at the spot of impact . God saved him he flew up into the windshield an b
hit the seat the truck was going 45 mph my husband-had been drinking so it was not driver error. He was hospitalized for badly broken legs an hips he has a plate in his head they said they were going to take his one real bad leg . I told them to try to save it first . Now hes all good some pain still but other than the scars he fine . The cops said the hight of the bike an the truck made him extremely lucky .
Paul had the nerve to show up to that poor girl's funeral. Smh
Shocking
Just because Maggie didn't have life insurance doesn't mean Alex wasn't set to inherit aLOT of money from her estate.
She didn't have an "estate" separate from him.
Previous report showed her will was altered that he would receive all her property. It had previous varied allocations but Alex and the dead father in law were named to the primary benefactors before he died. I think this was discussed about June of last year about 3 months after he faked the assassination attempt
@@trawlins396She does actually. Everyone has an estate, even if it's a hairbrush collection. If there is something that can argued over after you die, then it can be ridiculously declared part of your estate...varies by state etcetera...so don't be fooled or misled. It has nothing to do with houses or land ownership, or the value of the property, independent of your spouse.
Maggie owned the beach house and Moselle .
She definitely had an estate. I distinctly remember, at the least, houses being solely in her name
I don't even have words to express how vile and reprehensible the murdaughs are.
Evillllllll that there nowww. ..
Throw the book at him
The love of money is at the rot of all evil people.
Karma will get them
True, but what does that have 2do with me chocking myself during sex??
Paul, maggy, and alec, deserve what life has given them. You raise your kids as your friends fueled with drugs, alcohol, and get outta jail free cards, you tend to have these predictable outcomes ❤❤❤❤
Can't say that I feel bad for Maggie or Paul. They all had blood on their hands.
I am so glad I am not to the only one that feels this way. F them too. They were horrible people.
not once did i see alex make a plea for law enforcement to find the real killers if hes so innocent.
Me either. I'm glad the jury found him guilty. Buster is next for Steven Smith.
Been waiting for this ! Thank you
Can't believe he went on to be murdered from his father, the same guy doing his best to protect him from getting charged...
The boyfriend of Mallory. Hearing his anger and sadness broke my heart. Wish he would have gotten ahold of Paul
I’m always that person that looks for any reason to not convict or even a small amount of doubt. This case, I’m sure of it. He absolutely did it.
I think if he didn’t do it he had someone else do it
He is guilty as Sin. No murderers show up at a crime scene without weapons. AM was with the victims just moments before they were shot. He would have heard gunshots if he was in the family home on the property and he wasn't the shooter. And there are dozens of other lies/inconsistencies in his timeline. GUILTY!
@@marygoff3332completely agree. He’s so manipulative, big time narcissistic liar who trotted around town with police badge and blue lights installed in his car too. Greed and power with zero accountability.
I'm the same way...I'm with you. GUILTY!
I think he did it too. However there is zero hard evidence. Unfortunately I think he will walk.
Just watched the Netflix documentary today. Great timing lol! Thanks for the upload
What’s it called
@@heathermartin9419 Murdaugh a Southern Scandal.
@@heathermartin9419on Netflix it's called, Murdaugh Murders: A Southern Scandal
I’m from a small country town in middle Georgia . I guarantee the citizens of that county knew they were a murderous family. Things in the country towns don’t stay secret for very long at all, in addition to murders every few years. Thats not common.
This guy is a criminal who is guilty of killing his wife and son and probably his housekeeper. Remember, if you feel sorry for him, he is an attorney, and after working as a paralegal for over 40 yrs, attorneys are excellent at swaying people to think what they think. The man is GUILTY clear and simple!!’
Ma’am I have always liked your straight foward approach to these cases. I’m happy to see you go independent using the internet.
I been waiting for the 48 hours breakdown on this for soo long.
Omg the trial is soooo good.
I like his lawyers response when the reporter asked him “were there any problems in Alex and Maggie’s marriage?” “Absolutely not, trust me.” Also, regardless if the Murdaughs have anything to do with Stephen Smith, even to my untrained eye, the whole hit and run scenario seemed far fetched. I hope Stephens family gets some answers/peace.
Watching this now during the trial and with the Netflix documentary out is a trip .
Buster was kicked out of law school for plagiarism. Not the worst of crimes, but a definite reflection of an abject lack of character. Obviously neither parent felt that integrity and honor were worth encouraging in their kids. Perhaps they felt those traits were only for the unimportant. Karma apparently disagreed.
Sadly, Alex must've known the reality of life in high places. Like these politicians etc. I'm sure they didn't get there by being stand up and honest. They probably had to run over, stomp on and cheat every single person that they ran across just to get to where they wanted to be. It's obvious Alex taught his sons how real life worked. It's more about money and who you know and who you pay off in order to go places.
And they paid politicians to get him readmitted early . Luckily it didn't work and he had to sit out like anyone else in same situation.
Plagiarism? His character is in question due to him being kicked out for plagiarism? 😂. Every college kid in the country has plagiarized.
That's not true. Most people don't cheat by stealing the work of other people.
@@NotSoNormal1987 everyone plagiarizes. If you forget to site anything out of a text book it’s plagiarism. If you site something wrong it’s plagiarism. Everyone has done it. That’s why college professors don’t allow over 10% threshold of your papers to have plagiarism. It’s literally in most syllabuses lol.
Glad I found this video. All I’ve been seeing are the court hearings but I’d never heard of the case before this week.
Teenage girl out drinking at 2AM and no one says how bad of a parent this woman is.
Exactly. People try to normalize that in this country these days. They act like just because it's alcohol it's fine, when alcohol is the substance that causes the most damage in this country by far.
Agree. They were all complicit in this accident. Paul is responsible for being the driver.
Unfortunately you have to be careful who you let into your life. There are a lot of narcissists out there with no regard for others.
You reap what you sew! I don’t feel bad for this family. I feel bad for the victims. Shame on the enablers who allowed this family to get away with this type of behavior. And why isn’t Buster not being investigated?
Buster's time will come...one way or the other!
He is now being investigated
This is what rich people do, but I'm not saying every rich family, that they think they can do everything and could get away with it. When you feel powerful then it's like evil lives inside you. This isnt just happening in the US but every country. It's horrible. I advice younger people to be very careful who your friends are and their families- you could be hanging out with the crazies and it's difficult to get out once your inside their circle. It's f-ing insane. Rest in peace to all the victims.
I think people should avoid hanging out with rich powerful families. They're just evil.
They have the connections money and influence that normal or poor people , that normal and poor criminals don’t usually have … this whole murda family since Stephen then mallory and gloria who knows how much other stuff they covered up because they were able to pay people off and they owned huge properties that leads to alot of other things
@@oussamarahhab1128 they were committing crimes while persecuting others over the years because they were lawyers … who knows how many people they threw in jail or prison or dead even ….
An extremely high number of CEOs & wealthy people are sociopaths.
Exactly and those families still operate such as the Clinton family. The lesson here obviously is don't go broke for as long as you have the power and wealth they will look the other way...
I had to keep replaying Curtis laughing & wiggling his feet jovially at the journalist’s suggestion that he should’ve called police 36:34 😂
b.c. he knew the local police there were the Murdaugh's bi***es.
When a settlement check comes in, the company providing that check should be legally able (even required) to contact the plaintiff to let them know that money has been provided to their attorney. It would stop the stealing of money in such settlements.
Alex sued himself so they wouldn't have been on it is how I took it but idk
There needs to be an overhaul of this . I've heard it many times . Lots of people who have been ripped off by the lawyer.
