Please tell me who says "it's a chicken," immediately after Paul says "it's a chicken" ...she is standing right up next to him. It's a younger lady.
The Murdaugh’s are not the only family like that out there. Hampton County is not the only country like that out there. Hampton County law-enforcement are not the only corrupt people like that out there. “IT’S AN AMERICAN CULTURE”. There’s more people like that out there. Those kind of people love little towns with so much power in their hands, the pain of others will be invisible.
Hearing Anthony say “do y’all know Alex Murdaugh? That’s his son. Good luck.” Sent chills down my spine. My heart is absolutely broken for him. 😭

It was like a moment from a movie. This whole case is.
You can hear the pain and anger in his voice. If they didn't stop him from going at Murdaugh he wouldn't have been able to stop once he started hitting him.

It’s ironic that Alex lied on the dogs; said they killed the housekeeper, but it was Bubba the dog who tricked Alex into speaking on the Snapchat video. Good boy Bubba, the dogs have redeemed themselves ❤.

i think he did and actually tried to use it for his "Alibi". I believe, he did not know, that Paul made a Video. Otherwise that Phone would be somewhere in the Water.

@Ole Woodworm Alex admitted to trying to grab Paul's phone out of his pocket bc he said it was half way out but stopped bc he said he couldn't grab it all the way...... js why you do that if you didn't take into consideration modern technology. He also threw his phone so it wasn't pining by the kennels. He knew about modern technology but even with getting rid of it all they have to do is sopena the cell phone company and boom they have his entire cloud. Alex was in a panic and just thought the people he knew we wouldn't ever put him as a suspect he was wrong but he knew about modern technology lol

In the state of New Jersey, if somebody dies at home inside the home or outside the home by law, an autopsy has to be done whether the family wants it or not. If you die in the hospital, no autopsy is required unless the family requests. It’s unbelievable that no autopsy was done on the housekeeper. May she rest in peace.
Well I suppose that would be relevant IF THEY LIVED IN NJ which jus so happens to hold the distinction of being the single SMELLIEST STATE IN THE COUNTRY HANDS DOWN. However much like the original comment it has as much to do with the case as the price of tea in China (as my grandfather used to say when I was a kid growing up in Boston…see I’m making a comment full of completely useless yet interesting information too. 😂😂 I’m only poking fun 😊

He even tried to frame Connor Cool for most of it. Look at the witness sketch he tried to pull for the roadside shooting incident. The sketch looked exactly like Connor who they tried to roll over as the driver of the boat.

Gets caught once, tries suicide one day later. When that fails, tries to make it look like a random attempted homicide. Still failed. Gets caught again, murders his family as an attempt to divert attention SAME DAY. When that fails, claims innocence. Now a woman has come forward claiming she was raped and beaten twice by him. Do I believe her? Absolutely. And someone really needs to investigate the death of their housekeeper that. “ fell down the stairs.” and died. I really think more and more things are going to come to light now that the trial is over.
This guy did too much. There are quiet a few bodies behind this story. Imagine finding out your husband is a monster. Constantly covering his sons mistakes…. His whole world was crumbling under his feet and he was trying to clean up but just made the whole situation cave on his head. This man deserved everything he got!

Alex was facing a major cash crunch because of Paul and Maggie. The boat trial is coming up and Paul would need a very good lawyer. Maggie wanted to divorce and that alone would cut into half is assets
Did he? Wife was suspicious of him and living separately. His son Paul was living with uncle John Marvin. Lie after lie. His wealth was from hiding money and stealing from many.
I watched the Netflix documentary and as a mom myself it broke my heart when Mallory’s mom asked the police to let her see the boat and where the accident had happened they denied her that because it was a crime scene but when Alex and his wife showed up they let them step all over the crime scene and evidence.
not saying his wife and kid got what they deserved but if his son was still alive he would still be living his life as if he didn’t recklessly killed Mallory so at least her parents got a little bit of justice

Alex’s brother john is no better. The whole Murdaugher gang is bad news. It goes back to their great grand father. It’s just catching up with them. There will be light at the end of their dark tunnel.
@I see do you research. Being feared because somebody has money isn’t the same as being respected. That guy helped with the whole boat situation. Instead of doing the right thing as an adult, he cleaned the whole scene and helped make it go away. He even admitted to it. Randy is the somewhat “normal”

Just remember she was drinking too on the boat, they all went to bars for more drinks and she with boyfriend got into boat knowing the driver was wasted. This is nothing new. Just look at the statistics on boat accidents and alcohol. They go hand in hand. Young people need to be taught common sense by parents and be responsible.
Nobody is suppose to die like this ok. But I do NOT feel sorry for Maggie OR Paul. Maggie was just as underhanded as her husband and children. She lived by it and DIED by it.

If true, there's a reason Maggie's close friends didn't know she had seen a divorce attorney. She knew eventually it would get back to Alex. All these women would have probably told at least one other person until the whole town knew. She apparently knew her friends.
Maggie never went to a divorce attorney. If she did the prosecution would have brought that up a motive

Really a sad situation. For many years Alex, his wife and two sons enjoyed the lifestyle that came from his greediness and repugnant acts and finally because of the boat accident his financial troubles were exposed and in the end they were also his victims. This man is immoral.
The saddest thing is that she was terrified until her last moments. I hope she was unconscious and wasnt struggling under water. This was just so tragic. I pray her family finds peace and comfort

I believe Mallory hit her head and was not aware of her death or pain. Only aware of the hand from heaven reaching for her and the light of God. She was a precious girl who went to heaven. She is safe and enjoying time with grandparents and people who went before her. God is so good !
I know a man who was saved drowning as a boy at the last moment. First he was panicking, but then he saw his life before his eyes and peace came over him. He actually was mad being saved.

Her boyfriend said he was hanging onto her but had to let her go in order to save himself and get to shore.

Paul sounds like he was a big, p.o.s rich kid, but he didn’t deserve to die the way he did. Maggie’s death is even more heartbreaking, she may have had to watch her son die by his father before being brutally killed herself.. Just monstrous. I’m so glad Alex was found guilty. I hope prison is the worst experience of his life.

What’s so astonishing is this seems to be a family of murderers. Alex wasn’t home when Gloria died - but Maggie was. Same Maggie that was upset Gloria found Alex’s pills and handed them to Paul (she. Wasn’t comfortable handing them to Maggie), Maggie refused to perform CPR and it’s Maggie sounding irritated on the 911 call for having to answer basic questions.
We know about Alex and his sons but I strongly suspect Maggie was not a good person either
She handed the phone to Paul, that’s him being arrogant about the operator’s questions

He said he was present. So either it was him that pushed her and then got out of there, or it was Maggie. The incentive was the life insurance which should have gone to Gloria's kids. They didn't get one cent. And tripping over dogs? Did anyone hear dogs in the background? No
@@SKILLIUSCAESAR Maggie was the first on the phone because she was the only one to be around when Gloria supposedly fell. It was Maggie who refused to do CPR and it was Maggie getting irritated 911 had the audacity to ask questions. In a huff she handed the phone to Paul

The jury got it right. Alex traded his life of privilege for a jail cell. This is all on him. Now he has the rest of his pathetic life to think about it. I honestly think he will take the cowards way out soon enough.
Regardless, I doubt he has the capacity to feel guilt, shame or remorse.

I can tell you for sure however, with lots of personal experience with opioid addiction, that once you are a couple of months in, you don’t get “high” anymore. You merely seek the opioids to remain functional. It doesn’t take long, after a few weeks of continual use, for your brain to start to rely on the opioids, just as it relies on food. The brain stops producing natural dopamine, because the opioids are flooding the opioid receptors beyond their capacity. It’s nothing like being wasted on alcohol,,where one becomes dysfunctional. The rush of dopamine greatly enhances one’s motivation and enthusiasm., without lack of motor control. The derelict addicts we’ve been propagandized to recognize as the “addict” reality,is false. It’s very common to function as normal, but more likely above normal, when dependent upon opioids. They actually enhance abilities in a productive person. As for the downtrodden street addicts, I think that would be their fate, regardless of the substances they’ve ingested.
I watched this trial from start to finish. I’m still recovering. 🤯🥴

For Stephen Smith, Mallory Beach and Gloria Satterfield for sure. Less so for Paul and Maggie Murdaugh since they were apparently so unconcerned about Paul's role in Mallory's death.

I just noticed something interesting. The bailiff that led Alex away the day of his sentencing was in the courtroom, as a spectator, the day of the closing arguments. He is sitting right behind Alex in a brown suit and yellow shirt.
Nothing has been mentioned about the bar that the under age boys were served in after walking in already intoxicated. They hold responsibility as far as the law goes.
The bar is included in Mark Tinsley's case on behalf of the Beach family as well as the Parker's gas station where he also bought alcohol that night...Mark Tinsley is NOT leaving anyone out!!!!!
@@emily3 If they appeared to be already intoxicated, the bar shouldn't have served them no matter their age - with or without ID.
The boat case has it in the law suit.
@@emily3 I know from recently completing alcohol certification yes at least here in FL those continuing to serve the obviously very intoxicated do hold some responsibility(I think this now holds true in many states).
As is the person at the store sold Paul all that beer off his brother's ID. Yes, they look very similar but for starters as I recall his brother is quite a bit taller. This definitely should've been spotted.
I am all for idiots learning from their own mistakes, but can appreciate the reasons behind those serving alcohol being held strictly accountable. Fact is had the establishments supplying them alcohol been diligent & refused them, that beautiful girl Mallory would very likely be alive today. So tragic.

The prosecution in this case was excellent. They built a rock solid case with excellent witnesses and great cell phone data. They've definitely proven beyond a reasonable doubt that he did this to his wife and son.
Agree. You have to account for that SLED had strong ties to the Murdoch's, so the investigation was botched in a lot of ways.
Disagree, don’t get me wrong, I think he did it but they got lucky with the guilty verdict thankfully. The investigation was botched, the testimonies were shaky at best. Good thing the jury went on their gut feeling (which you’re NOT supposed to do) and found him guilty. This MONSTER could have easily gotten away with this but Justice was served!!

He thought he was such a great liar that he could lie out of being a liar.
He was a terrible liar. Every detail was contradictory. He had to change his story repeatedly. He created a mountain of incriminating evidence with his lies so easy to disprove. He basically did nothing right. His mind was too warped to even plot it out
This guy could have had a comfortable life without stealing people's money. But this man is so selfish, he sacrificed his wife and son to get sympathy and get more time. Everything he was trying to prevent coming to light, ended up coming to light anyway. But he made it worse by killing and stealing more money
Is anyone going to talk about Buster flicking people off in the courtroom and notes being passed to Alex? They're so used to their evil manipulating ways they entered the court room disrespectfully thinking they can do what they want. Glad justice was served.
This whole case has just had me In a chokehold. Everything there is to watch I have watched, I feel like I’ve read every article I could find too. It’s all so awful. And Mallory dying on that boat breaks my heart. She and I had the same birthday so though I have zero connection, I feel connected to her. It’s awful. Truly. I don’t understand why it took them an entire week to find her! It’s insane to me.
The water currents moved her body far from the scene, and they had to comb the waters closest to where it happened. Many bodies that end up in the water are never found. Thankfully, she was.
@@Annie497 Yeah, the boyfriend said that he kept going under the water to try to find her that night after they first crashed, and there was a very strong current he was fighting against. Very sad.
Sadly, Mallory was found 5 miles down river. Thank God the people that found her promptly called the authorities.
You have to understand the endless miles of waterways in the Lowcountry :creeks,rivers,currents, tides and marshes. It was a miracle she was found at all. I am so glad they did find her...for her family's sake. As a Mother who has also lost a child, my heart breaks for them all, but especially for Mallory's Mom and Dad.
@@terribarrett9381 my family is from Savannah, so I’m very familiar with low country but I still think it’s very sad it took as long as it did. I also lost my older brother and only sibling in 2020 and we could barely get any help from law enforcement with investigating his death, so I understand first hand what that devastation does to a family. I can not recall any situation where family honor, legacy and wealth endures.... it is a myth. Stop chasing the dollar - it is futile. Look what misery came to this family full of hubris and apparent invencibility. What a classic tragedy. If Shakespeare could get this story down on paper wow.

Gosh, there's just so many deaths linked to that family! You have the long time housekeeper that died... But was without a doubt murdered for money. Then you have the one Son who was driving the boat that killed the girl. Then there's the boy that was found on the side of the road dead. And the name that kept coming up from people in town, who they say was involved in his death was the Son Buster. Then there's the murders of the Wife and one of his Sons. So it's just INSANE how much tragedy and death is associated with that family! And he's just an absolute despicable human being! Killing his Wife and own Son like that! It's just absolutely APPALLING..... And It's just Satisfying knowing that he can't continue with his Corrupt, Evil, Narcissistic ways anymore!
All of those of which, ultimately died from head trauma in one way or the other.

That's not all. Look up Hakeem Pinckney. He was a deaf, paralyzed client of Alex's that used a ventilator to stay alive. His ventilator was unplugged at the nursing home and he suffocated. Then Alex sued the nursing home for wrongful death too.

Most recovering addicts will take full responsibility for their misdeeds without blaming them on the drugs. While they may not have committed them if they were sober, they still committed them. It's an important step in recovery.
Alex can't even do that right. His entire life he made a living at shifting the blame everywhere else than it belonged. Finally it caught up to him and he'll spend the rest of his days next to people who are far better than him which is more than he deserves.

If I was Mallory’s parent and I knew Paul got away with being held accountable for Mallory’s death, just because of who he was, I would want revenge. The people Alex burned probably wanted revenge, too. I wouldn’t be able to sleep at night because of the injustice. They all must be feeling some sense of satisfaction This is the closest to justice that they can come, at this point, even though their daughter can never be brought back and those millions of dollars are gone forever.
Paul will never get a chance to defend himself, as wrong as what he did was, he did not deserve to get murdered

Less than half of 1% of appeals when the convict has testified in their own case win an appeal. Judge Newman has an impeccable reputation and this conviction will stand.
