He didn’t deny the anger instead he agreed he raised his voice and then explained why. He’s had a year or more to work on his anger with Alex, and like he said he had to work really hard to get past the being angry stage. At this point Alex means nothing in comparison to the truth of what happened to Paul and Maggie. Do you think the witness cared more about being angry with Alex truly, or telling the truth to get down to what happened to Paul and Maggie? (Paul being someone he really cared about himself). Im sure best case scenario in the witnesses mind is just that he’s a terrible thief and untrustworthy person, Vs. Him murdering his wife and kid for any reason. I don’t think he wants to condemn Alex for something he didn’t do, but wants to be honest about what he knows he did do as to not be affiliated with Alexs character.

I was with Alex in the week after the murder. I have seen things that were not even touched in this court room. Bam !). But the prosecutors questions did not insult his professional integrity. He could have simply asked him: You rightfully must feel angry towards AM, it would be only human if that would influence your testimony a little bit. Can you 100 % assure us this is not the case. And he would answer with a resounding NO, my emotions towards AM do not alter the way I testify here. And he is right, he said nothing that could be seen as being biased.
I do not even know why the defense lawyer would go there. AM was a "theatrical" lawyer, and they discussed hog hunting and gun and hunting preferences. Nothing controversial in my mind - even if the witness would have been eaten up by anger.
Even IF this witness wanted to shade the testimony, does this twat of defense lawyer really think he could hinder - or that he could bait him into showing too much anger.

The concept of "innocent until proven guilty" means that legally his status is that of a free/innocent man because he hasn't yet been proven guilty by a court of law of the crime until he has stood the process of trial. The jurors are required to listen to evidence before voting, of course. What you're suggesting would be mind control by the government of all people.

There were quite a handful of officers and other responding officials who trampled all over the crime scene, tampering, even standing over Maggie’s body just having a casual convo. They tampered so much I believe a lieutenant or Sargent even commented about it that night (I believe.)

When he first got him angry and his response was, I don't think you want to go there because it's never been brought up I think was close to those words. He could of easily of told something to get even but he didn't. Me wanting the truth out I wish he could of told what he knew. I have had hogs on my property but realize I have moved into their territory and they are just surviving. They can be dangerous so would only kill them if they were threatening my personal safety or If I was in a survival situation. It is hard for animal lovers to understand the mind of hunters. Just a philosophical difference I suppose.

I think he’d been thinking of “blowing up” the whole thing for a bit. Paul’s issues had brought to light all the financial problems they had and Maggie was gonna ruin him to. I think he’d really planned on it being a murder suicide killing them and killing himself. Then like you said Buster gets everything. Probably had a jam or something thus why he switched weapons after he shot Paul and then after shooting Maggie couldn’t bring himself to shoot himself too. Bitched out. He tried to do it later with that guy and still couldn’t go through with it. Everything else has been him scrambling to cover it up like he learned from his Grandpa.
