Not that I'd wished he would have gotten off, but I was surprised he didn't just destroy both phones, like with a hammer, and then disposed of them somewhere in the ditch or the swamp or whatever. He obviously didn't, and that was the break that got the conviction for Alan Wilson, Creighton Waters, John Meadors, and all the rest of the state's prosecution team. Moselle was owned solely by Maggie. Her wedding ring was under the seat in the car and she wasn't living with Alex at the time. She knew he was lying about the finances and she was heading toward divorce. She didn't want to go to Moselle when Alex asked her to come. His premise was that they were going to go and visit his dad, yet he didn't take Maggie with him to his parents house. Maggie and Paul were about to become his biggest financial liability and Alex only cared about Alex. Without Moselle Alex's line of credit with the bank would dissolve as well.

Her own sister testified that Maggie always preferred the beach over the "great outdoors" type of lifestyle, but that she took part in those activities because she wanted to spend time with her family. There was also testimony to the fact that Maggie always had Bubba with her whenever she went to spend the night at the beach house. Since she didn't take Bubba with her that day, it's pretty hard to believe that she had intended to stay there over night, and that Alex "lured" her back to Moselle.

He had a stay at home wife and 2 kids and properties he had to keep up with so he just poured out too much milk than his glass could hold. And at the point when he had all the pressure on himself and what was going on with paul and rumorably his wife. He convinced himself he would be saving Paul from jail and his health. And maggie he couldn't face his wife leaving and she would be better off watching over paul. The prosecution said it best it was all about Alex.. They can be disposable he's the one he cares about. But that also doesn't mean he didn't love his family he prob did. That's prob why paul was to the head it was spos to be fast and painless.and I think him saying they did him so bad. Was him admitting it was spos to be fast and painless and over. And maggie being executed was to put her out of her misery. Both to me looking at how they were shot was cowardly he couldn't look them in the eyes.

Y’all remember Ethan Couch? A case of affluenza?
I’m convinced that’s what happened here. The Murdaugh family got away with so much for so long, he honestly has no idea why all of this happened because he was just operating under his normal circumstances. I’m glad he got caught and people can see how real small town politics work down south.

The Murdaugh family acknowledged they were a generational affluent family well before Alex and Maggie we're ever married.

@@robiimccann my point, exactly. There is no telling how much blood is on their hands dating all the way back to Randolph Murdaugh, SR. (And probably before him) rise to power.

Don’t forget how “real”politics happen on every continent! The south is not exclusive to greed, deception, lawlessness and hypocrisy. That’s a fact!

I really enjoyed hearing him testify during the 404 hearing outside of the jury. And I enjoyed the sparing with Barber, I think they both did a good job and I enjoyed Barber's cross (he didn't come across as obnoxious whereas both Poot and Griffin drive me nuts. (However so did Creighton). I greatly enjoyed Tinsley sitting Barber down in his cross in front of they jury with the "I can't hear you" x 3 game. Like wow. I don't think I'd be gutsy enough to do that in real life.

Mark Tinsley is so badass. When he got on the stand he put it all together with one sentence. He said if a vigilante came along and killed Paul and Maggie, the boat case against Alex goes away for me that was the defining moment

Have not changed my mind since. A decent human, who got some closure and costs for Mallory's Mum an Dad. He's a "Good Soul". 👍😊

Replay crew. Judge Newman was right, Mark Tinsley is a “tiger”. He’s uncovered all of AM’s financial crimes and didn’t back down. Thank you so much Chris for bringing us such a great guest. 💙
