My German shepherd passed away and I was a bigger mess than he is. I still would break down into tears 7 years later.
Yes...same with my dog!🙏
I almost gave away my dog once ( due to financial and other reasons) and I was a crying mess. I had to go back and get her.
that s because you have compassion He has none of that.
Same. My pet fancy rats only live a couple years and when each of them pass, I have to call my doctor and get medicine to sleep because I'm a wreck.
Our Rottie was my protector when she was young and my child when she got old. We adored her, she's always a tear away xxx
I know we all grieve differently, but if I found my husband and son dead, I’d need sedation, and probably a padded room for a while. I’d never recover from the grief, ever! If I had to see my son’s brain blown out to his feet, then, I’d be mad and tormented to the point of utter insanity. How can he be so…..together? I don’t understand.
Because he’s a killer sociopath. He doesn’t love his family the way you do, he’s wired differently emotionally. Relationships for him are transactional not real, but he was able to hide his sociopathy over the years given his manipulative nature.
@@OEFTF11yes, you’re right. It’s unfathomable to me that he’s not an emotional mess, but if you don’t have those emotions, then you cope quite well it seems.
Ever watch the film "Death Wish"?
he looks to relaxed..
I lost my dad an uncle a few months ago an I'm still greiaving
It’s been 2 days, 3 max, since his wife and son were brutally murdered on the family property just a few minutes before he left the house to go “visit” his mother, and here he is chatting it up and making small talk every chance he gets. Every now and then, he remembers he’s supposed to be grieving. It’s just astounding that he thought he was fooling anyone or thought he’d get away with it.
My thoughts exactly
4:53 Big John Bennyfield
The fact that he knows they have Maggie’s phone. Starts making up ridiculous story about them driving up and cat fleeing scene. Trying to match data. He is so ridiculous in this interview.
I see him as acting Southern and in coherence with his family standards.
Thank you for pointing that out because we would have never figured that out on our own.
His eyes are soulless. No empathy. He's only sorry he was found out. No tears would be shed for their deaths. A real monster.
He severely overestimated his acting abilities 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️
@@sunnyboknow His attempt is abysmal! At this moment he thinks he has everything tied up in a neat little package! Drives me crazy every time he cries he says “I’m so sorry” or does that horrible throat clearing noise.
@@dobeus8957 exactly
Why would you apologize for crying over your murdered wife and son ???
@@sunnyboknow - You wouldn’t.
It's so amazing to me that Alex hasn't even once said oh my God I don't know who could have done this? Why'd they do this? Do you have any leads? Do you have any suspects? Not once has Alex even been scared of the people who killed his family thinking they might come after him now. WTF... this guy is so guilty!
Hear, hear.
seriously, yeah...the cops must be wondering the same thing at that time...
You are 100% right…however you dont know maybe they addressed that earlier in the day
He knew that Maggie had had it with his huge debt! She was figuring out how he had robbed clients and the firm! She told Blanca about! She was going to leave him!! He knew this while he was saying they had no problems!!
Never though of that, so true
His sniffles, throat clearing and practically snorting drives me absolutely insane. It is pretty evident that he is trying to fake sadness. So disgusting. All around.
Right?! So gross!
First thing I noticed too lol
He is so gross and repulsive. Not that it's his worst quality. But I don't know how anyone can be around him even when he's not murdery.
This is a part time prosecutor he said my my!
Please don't judge people's emotions, what if he didn't do it. I didn't cry when I was first told Mt sister was murder so please anyone saying people fake it blah . Everyone acts differently, just different emotions thats
He went almost 30 minutes without crying lol and realized he needed to be grieving.....
Why Doesn’t he refer to Paul as “PawPaw” or Maggie as “Mags” in this Entire Interview ?? 🤔👀
That used to make me cringe.
He doesn't say ever, "Please find who did this to my family." "They must still be near" "they killed my family". HE IS NEVER CONCERNED ABOUT THE KILLER!
Yea he does . He tells the officers the whole time to call him anytime to update him or her family.. especially toward the end . He even tells the officers to call him anytime even if he's at the graveside.
He actually referred to the boat accident quite a few times and that his son had been threatened…
@@kenweeks6282 To deflect attention away from himself, obviously. It's the first thing he brings up every time which is very telling.
@@Snail.1 That's not the same as asking about the killer, who would still be at large if Alex is innocent.

I watched my daughter died suddenly from a cardiac arrest at her birthday party in 1996 and I was in shock for weeks. I could barely take care of myself for the first week. To have to describe what happened would send me into a crying mess. I don’t recognize his grief
So sorry for your loss 😢
I'm So Very Sorry.😭💔🙏
I want to say I am so, so sorry about your daughter. My goodness. Bless your heart--I hate that for you.
My son died when I left the room one day in 2016. He had cancer. But I didn’t expect him to die that day. I went back to work two days later because I had no one to advocate for me and I didn’t know what else to do. My work only allows four bereavement days. A few weeks later I went to my doctor and she took me off work for a few weeks. Then I was pretty much a hermit and didn’t talk to anyone if I could help it. I really don’t remember much of the first six month, honestly. But if I had found him in the state Paul was in? I know it would have been much harder.
I'm so sorry! God bless you!🙏
For a well educated, successful, prominent lawyer, & all he can say is you know?!!?!
How can you go from crying to perfectly fine in seconds, MULTIPLE times?!
He didn’t cry. He’s trying hard to get out a tear but his eyes are dry. The officer in the front already can’t stand him.
Simple..he had no real remorse.
That is exactly what makes it believable to me, people who cry longer than a few seconds don't cry for real, they fake tears or have self petty. I mean he clearly lies here and probably uses his fake tears when the questions get difficult, but he knows to not cry too long in a row.
He is completely uncurious about who committed these murders. 🤔🤔🤔

Because Alex murdered both of them
I love how he tells what he was doing at work the day of the murders but does not mention he was confronted by his colleagues about his illegal activities that day. But he certainly mentions about the boat wreck 🤔 what a piece of work he is.
Very good point...👩
Very convenient to leave out that detail! IMO he would have looked less guilty if he’d been honest up front.
Facts. He acted like he didnt remember what he did at work!!!!
Don't think that the agents didn't pick up on that after his many frauds came to light!
He said he wasn’t at the kennels. Lie. He said he spent 45 minutes with his mother. Lie. After reading some about some of the people who had been financially taken advantage of, I think he is so guilty. Lie. Lie. Lie. But does lying equal murder? I don’t know.
no signs of grief for a tragic loss. He looks more relieved than anything else. Like living a new life, starting right from 0. Unbelievable!
He's either a child or an unhealthy adult🤔
The small talk …when you’ve just witness ( perpetrated) the worse crime imaginable…he really is something else this man …horrifying
That part.

Alex is more worried about the evidence against him, than finding out who killed his wife and son.
And he's busy telling his "story" than asking about finding the "real" killer.

His little smirk when the the police officer is talking about gathering evidence and looking for an outside killer. Wow.
The 2 hours he spent with Paul was on purpose. It was his last time with his son and he wanted to have that last time with him. He is just pure evil. There is no worse than this man. He is the evil we have all been warned of. This is why the good ole boys need to stop protecting their own as this evil is what you are creating.
He was using his son for his alibi, he already knew he was gonna kill Paul, even when Paul took the video and was laughing at Alex because the tree kept falling. He just wanted the police to think they were having great father son time and would never hurt Paul.

Why, maybe they aren't near their office and need some privacy. Also that's where the camera is. It's not unusual at all.
@@montamiddleton9318 Really? Most police interviews I've seen are in a room with a camera, 2 detectives and a lawyer. Or is this because he's Alex Murdaugh?
At this point hes being questioned about what happened. Detectives do that all the time. If he was arrested he would be in a interrogation room.
This man is not grieving. Period . And no one could be this relaxed so soon after a horrific tragedy of his wife and child . This type of reaction would take years, if at all. He's talking like it was some neighbors. Unbelievable.
💯💯I agree...hmmm and what happened to pau pau. He never called Paul pau pau until he was backed in a corner🤣🤥
I agree. I got more worked up when I witnessed a roll-over accident of a Chevy Silverado. I didn't know who they were. Icy roads, they lost control about 1/4 mi. in front of me and lost control and started fishtailing, finally crossed the center line, hitting the snow packed ditch and rolled 4x. After I pulled over, slowly, grabbed my cell phone, dialed 911, I immediately started running through the snow filled ditch not knowing what I was going to see or hear. I was way more freaked out than Alex finding his son and wife shot to death in a gruesome horrific scene.
*The 2 young women in the truck ended up being ok. Both were seatbelted in. Passenger had a cut on her arm that was bleeding a bit, nothing serious. Truck landed on the passengers side with the wheels facing East. In order to see the young women and talk to them I had to get on my hands and knees and place my right ear close to the snowy ground and look back and up into the smashed windshield into the passengers side, where I could then see the driver hanging by her seatbelt. They were disoriented but alive. Thank goodness. No one else or any animals in the vehicle. I can't believe Alex in this interview showing little to no emotion. The accident I witnessed was on Jan. 3, 2020 and I still get worked up when I see it replaying in slow motion in my mind. Leads me to believe Alex is a cold blooded killer.
Not really… he’s not relaxed at all. He’s nervous as fkkkkk

Not a single tear came down his face, he'd go from crying to side-eyeing the detectives paperwork almost immediately, he actually thought he had a chance to get away with this.
Yes I know , I mean I can’t believe how quick he went from hysterical crying to just talking like your speaking to your friends. Absolute psychopath 😢
All these little outbursts of emotion and not a single tear .
Notice he didn’t mention that he was questioned at work about his alleged fraud, on the actual day of the murders. He was asked by the officer, “start with Monday morning and take me through your day”. Murdaugh mentioned he was working on big motions , like the Energy case ( very specific) & the boat wreck but not being questioned about fraud. Which was a pretty significant event. Amazing how he skipped over that part 🤨
That’s actually irrelevant as a motive, but the prosecution is trying to make that a motive.
I honestly have never been more sure of someone's guilt. Everything about him. I think the missing "stolen" gun was one of the murder weapons.

He looks light hearted.
I'll bet the detectives found that interesting 😎
Yeah totally detached from the situation, his face doesn’t show a shred of any negative emotions or anything other then deception lmao
Some people go into kinda like a mechanical or automatic state when having to describe things like that. Like he has already gone over this in his head a million times, said it to officers and detective on and off the site, said it to family and friends and his lawyers multiple times... so he already has his story so he knows what to say. In a sense, it's like having your emotions exhausted or separate but your brain is still working to process speech but they are still in a state of shock. Personally I've reacted that exact way so that explanation makes sense to me. Or if you have experienced a death close to you, you freaked out at the moment but after a while of saying or talking about it, emotions could dull. Or like I said shock or being scared because you did it can act the same as each other because your brain is in overdrive watching very carefully that you don't slip up and say the wrong thing or too many things, that you're bot thinking about emotions because all your power in going to your brain and speech. Also he is a lawyer and will know what should and should not be said and how things usually pan out BUUUUUUT I 100000% believe he is guilty🫠🫠🫠🤡
Yes we all grieve differently, but at least we grieve. This sad sack couldn’t give a rats a$$.

Right off the bat you can tell he's cocky. He truly believes he's going to weasel his way out of being charged with murdering his family
When Alex went to his mom's house the caregiver Shelly said his mother was asleep. Alex also told Shelly to say he was there for 30 to 40 minutes when she knew he was there for 15-20 minutes at most. She cried on the stand giving her testimony about this.
I felt so bad for her!!
I’m sure she did everything she’s a wife and mom…
Shelly also said he was there 8, 8:30, 9, 9:30. Doesn't really narrow it down does it? If she can't even tell if he was there from 8-9:30 how are we supposed to believe she knew he was only there for 20 minutes weeks later.

UGH he should have been in the police station questioned and questioned. The man is NOT crazy, but evil beyond evil
All his comrades were sheltering him, wouldn’t let him go give a formal interview; SLED luckily took what they could get. It still was a wealth of info, showed he lied multiple times about the days events. He did not immediately ask about leads. When he was specifically asked about owning 300-Blackout, he did not tell LE about the second 300 Blackout he had Maggie purchase for Paul as a replacement. He denied being at the Kennels, denied being there w/ them. He was unbelievably casual 3-days after seeing his son’s head blown wide open, and his wife’s lifeless body.
Finally, his lack of character, his perpetual lies & storytelling, and slue of crimes are being exposed, and most of all the (2)Snapchat videos and digital/car/cell evidence will show he is the worst type of murdering manipulator we’ve seen in a courtroom for awhile.
@@dianealarcon8304 let me start off by saying I am not defending him. However, coming from a family in law enforcement, even if you ask they will say “we are the one’s asking the questions”. And with the gun, he did say he knew it was replaced, just not sure when. The situation is so sad. I am just now starting to follow this and just cannot understand a WHY for shooting your child!! I like to play devil's advocate for stuff like this, because you have to when it's supposed to be beyond a reasonable doubt. What other reasons could be for his calm demeanor? Does he have undiagnosed autism or Asperger's? Is he trying to keep his mind distracted so that he doesn't break down because he was raised to not show emotion from his family? Like what else?
"grill" more like, putting him near a lukewarm stone and throwing ice cubes at him
They’re just letting him talk and ramble the more talking he does the better.
48:50: The detective asks: "Where did Maggie carry her phone?" Alex stares into nothing, thinking what he´s going to say. This gave me CHILLS. I´m 100% sure he´s remembering the instant he took her phone from her after he shot her, and where that phone was at the moment.
I’m just stuck on the fact that someone can have it in them to shoot and kill ur own child and wife. The thought of my wife even being sick or just sore can break my heart bcuz I wouldn’t want her to hurt one bit and every time I look at any of my kids is like the first time seeing them again, their all my life and everything I live and work for never in a million yrs could I ever imagine a thought of inflicting pain or even death on them. This whole case just blows my mind and I don’t get it I really don’t
You're not a psychopath, it's hard to understand how they think. People said the exact same about Chris Watts, Scott Peterson and Josh Powell 😮
Everyone has their breaking point. That night he reached his.
@@jds2165 I hear what ur saying it’s just hard to take in that his breaking point was on his family, I watched the whole trial and everything and personally I believe he had it planned for a way to get out of all the debt he had plus many other things that came to light
He put these 2 people out of the misery he made for them. He knew his days were numbered All the thefts made, it was prison he was facing. His kids too. Now even more has surfaced. It’s not over yet! Another Netflix movie to come!
@@tracicantrell549 yea i understand exactly what ur saying, its all just crazy and even sad in its own weird way. It all rattles my brain bcuz i could imagine even the thought of killing any of my kids or my wife bcuz of all the mistakes i made...he shoulda just took himself out in all honesty and ur right about alot more is coming to light about his secrets and everything else
The fact this guy can talk so calmly and explain is alibi is mind blowing. I definitely wouldn’t be able to speak knowing my family members are deceased.
That’s you. Don’t judge the man based off of this.
That tells me he planned theses murders just like he manipulated his clients who he claimed to represent.
He just does a bunch of vague stuttering of gibberish. No real questions answered directly. I can't believe they didn't suspect him strongly the entire time.
Me neither!! I can’t stand him!! He’s a typical narcissist!!!
Thinking about his alibi the entire time
My wife and I lost twin babies in 2012. We were empty, and just existing for years; couldn't even talk about our loss. Fast forward 11 years and we still cry occasionally when we talk about the twins. This man lacks any true remorse about what he did. Prayers for the extended family of Maggie and Paul.
I’m sorry for your and your wife’s loss, of your precious babies. 💔🙏🏽
I’m so so sorry for your loss. I can’t even imagine. Blessings to you both. Your angels are forever with you.
My condolences. I lost my twins in 1997.I knew someone who was expecting twins and due when my babies were due.I cant even look at twins and especially those twins without crying. The grief never leaves you.
Sorry for your loss. He's a sociopath
So sorry for your loss send you hugs from Germany
Him explaining that he didn't argue with his wife got him "emotional" but recounting the moment he actually discovered his wife and son murdered doesn't produce any reaction at all.
The fact that he said he didn’t know where Paul went when we now know he went to the kennels WITH them is just crazy to watch.
It’s crazy to see him making up stories, now that we know he was in fact at the kennels.
I have never seen somebody cry without producing actual tears

No one is talking about him sipping his drink and enjoying it. People usually can't eat for days after losing a loved one suddenly and this guy is so calm sipping on his drink
The way he tries to sound mournful when Marion calls…minute one.
Cool as a cucumber as if he just didn’t lose half of his family 3 days ago…
Laughing and joking 3 days after wife and kid is murdered....yea ain't fooled no one with common sense. I believe he did it no doubt!
The prosecution so far has not proved their case, I’m concerned this guy is going to get away with murder.
@@GraceAsher I beg to differ but respect your opinion. Not in general but just about this case.
I am so sick of hearing him clear his doggone throat! Lies make ya throat dry Alex!
I couldn't talk about the last time I went riding quads with my son through the hills without crying. The last ride was such an important and personal ride that brings me to tears now (20 years later). He talks about the last ride with his son just 3 days after his son was horrifically slaughtered and he sheds not a tear! He is EVIL! He is GUILTY! He making up a story.
🥰
I wish my family had access to private dove fields and duck ponds.
Actually he did shed tears many times in this video
@@robrob7011 is the accomplice
Yes sir. Great comment my man. We all have had some type of pain but I don't have this way of shielding the real away. I don't believe Alec was the only shooter and I don't believe he could stomach this as far as shooting his own son and wife. That's just from what I see. Evil, yes.... Smart, Kinda..... Sneaky, Very Much So, Secretive, Very Much So..... Pull out the work and get with pulling triggers on a double murder, nope.. he's not the guy.
He starts crying then not even 20 seconds later he is casually talking like nothing even happened wow !!
They honestly have zero clue how they look. They think they come across genuine
Men tend to not to try in front of others. Especially southern ones.
@Abrahamgarcia--apparently you’ve never had a ‘shock’ learning of a family members death🤔
I have had several ,and what you think makes this man guilty is completely wrong.
@@stacyeandrew2 yes key word think this man is guilty he can’t even keep his story straight
@@mariawallace1381 You must not know many southern men. They cry and don't care who sees them. Also crying produces tears, I see none on this. You can fake a runny nose by dramatic sniffling but you can't fake tears.
Most people who cry has tears, red eyes, a runny red nose. This man had nothing. In fact his mom's caregiver was still grieving during court. She really loved that family.
Someone count how many times he said "you know"?
This guy has all the answers, remembers everything, has all the details…the rest of us would not be able to even think straight for a week after seeing what he saw.
yet knows for a fact hes getting threats and that they would be at his house but has " NO CLUE" who they are and had to buy time to give an answer to how they received the threats. he dances around answers.. anyone SERIOUSLY affected by this situation would either not be able to answer or give immediate straight forward answers
Exactly. If he truly had nothing to do with the murders he'd be so distraught he'd be doing well to remember his own name
Lawyers are trained to be non emotional
I guess this manipulative lying Attorney didn’t take that course in law school. He has learned the crocodile tears and rocking back-n-forth technique.
Yup and all of you are not business owners. A. City folk don’t understand country folk, all you city people stop judging. It’s crazy. B. He is way more intelligent than you are, he has control of his emotions. He’s a bussines owner a successful lawyer, These types don’t think or talk or act like you. Not saying innocent or guilty but my god use your brain and stop judging so hard.
Even the way he is already referring to them in past tense is so telling. Took my weeks to even acknowledge this with my brother. We are all not the same but just days later?!
Exactly what I was thinking. The first stage of grief is denial.
@@sandife4nandes365 I don't think it's denial, you're just not used to it. But if you k1ll them yourself and planned it a while, you've already had time to get used to it.
Yeah, i remember thinking “how can I say he WAS” when in my mind he still “is”? My son died in 2016. It took me probably a couple years before I could speak of him in the past tense.
@@michelleb7399 exactly. I lost my only sibling, my twin sister. It takes time for it to sink in.
He sure likes to blame Paul for things. That gun was never stolen Alex had it hidden somewhere to use on them.
“I fell asleep on the couch” then later in court the show video off Paul’s he kennel where he is talking. Then suddenly, again, his story changed. Good to see at least one person who has lied their entire life face some justice.
Sociopath no grief anywhere … who could do all the terrible things this man did and still act like he’s a decent guy. I hope they throw away the key. All those lives he ruined .
He's a vampire. How many walk among us? Probably a lot who are slightly more clever than this ghoul and therefore get away with it.
First time meeting one was after I found out she cheated on me since the beginning ( a lot more to the store it went viral )
A sociopath wouldnt have been able to establish a long and loving marriage - everyone who knew them testified about how loving the entire family was.
Notably missing is the element of grief in my opinion.
The way he goes from breaking down without tears to acting like nothing is the matter is Sus.
If you know was a person it would get tired of him saying his name
🤣🤣🤣🤣ya know🤣🤣
My mom and stepdad passed away years ago and I still can't handle watching videos or looking at pictures of them. It hurts too much. I still cry for my mom. She passed in 2015 from cancer my stepdad passed two years later. They were my life. This dude has no feelings.
I’m sorry for your loss, I lost my dad in 2021 and it still hurts, but nothing like when my mom will pass one day. It will get better, Jesus is coming back very soon.
Everyone grieves differently. Many men don’t show emotion in front of others but they do in private
Took me years to be able to look at my father's picture. My Mum died 2017 and I'm still not over it, the pain is deep.
One day I will be in such a mess.
I try to prepare, but i don't think it's possible
My stepdad and mom died of cancer two years apart too. How sad. 2010, and 2012.
13:30 "I fell asleep on the couch" then he stops and stares at the detective to try and read his reaction, as any liar would do.
noticed and noted
And nods his head.....
Makes me sick how calm he is...
Because he’s worried about his reputation about becoming a theif. He robbed everyone blind and now they were gonna find out his lifestyle was fraud.
This monster is not in shock! 100% guilty. Horrible. He's not even thinking of his wife and son, 48 hours murdered by him! He has ZERO PTSD from the sudden murder of his wife and son. Unbelievable.
PTSD may not show up for months
I’ve grieved harder over my cats then this man grieved his wife and son. Smfh! Unbelievable
He looks sus at 18:26 when he checks to see what the detective is writing down, and at 18:29 when he side-eye looks at the detective, seems like he's checking to see how his story is landing. Forty-five seconds of tear-less crying at 29:15 that he magically turns off as he does another shifty eye-glance to read the detective's notes. Wow, what a performance!
Yes, those 2 spots I was thinking the same thing.
that's a sociopath..
I noticed the sane thing

You are so on point!
I still cry for my dog. Really. This man is from another planet.
This is what someone that’s had to manipulate people their WHOLE LIVES looks like
He sounds so guilty. He's so nervous it's making me nervous just watching it.
You can see him get himself into character when he answers the phone. A true chameleon.
I said exactly that!! Trying to sound morose I'm sure. Huge pause before answering.
When the detective said he didn’t know what to think, and that he didn’t see anyone just showing up that time of night, Alex face turned Beet Red, I bet his pressure and heart rate went sky high. Almost immediately he changed the subject.
AM Definitely said “ I did it so bad”- the cop in the back seat quickly looked at the lawyer like he was shocked
Even THINKING about my dog passing away has me balling my eyes out. And here he is a few days after witnessing his dead wife and son and can hardly fake cry.
Yea that’s been posted 30 times before but cool story
"I was certain I heard them pullup" in court: "I don't know how they got down to the kennels" very contradicting.
He doesn’t act like a grieving husband and father!!!
Especially seeing his son’s brains blown out…..sick
A FATHER!! Your not suppose to bury your child!!! He doesn't care!
I like how he's a murder suspect and they re all talking like good ol' boys from the same town
Think they do this to relax the suspect, hoping they will relax to the point of slipping up
It’s called interrogation lol. You get on your suspects good side so they slip up and you can catch them in their lies. You never want your suspect to shut down and stop talking or ask for a lawyer you want to keep them talking as long as they can as to reveal as much as they can. It’s their job after all.
• there are plenty of interrogation tactics used to get information they need•
Maybe its because they are all from the same place an at that point he wasnt a "suspect' you have to know sothern culture you yankees will never understand sotherners.its a different breed its about family your friends your hometown an your state most of us have LONG bloodlines that we trace back as far as the country was founded.its not like most northerns that couldnt tell you who where or when there families properties business started.its SOUTHERN PRIDE.
@@mattjennings6812 I'm from the South 😂
They're trained to talk that way in order to put the suspect at ease so they'll feel more comfortable, trust them, and slip up.
