  • WATCH: Bodycam footage shows police investigating the murder of Alex Murdaugh's wife and son on June 7, 2021. The footage, which was redacted by the court, shows Murdaugh with a mix of emotions as he talks to the officers while investigators secure the scene. The disgraced lawyer would speak to police that night and three days later, recalling in detail what he allegedly found at his South Carolina home when he returned that Summer night.

When my brother was murdered I was there before any LE or ambulance. He was shot in the head with a double barrel shotgun at point blank range. IT WAS HORRIFIC! I was uncontrollable. I never once said "I'm sorry " for crying and for screaming. They had to end up putting me in the ambulance because I was about to faint. I could barely speak or breathe. True, people react differently but his behavior is odd.

When he's at work, she keeps looking out the window, and if my husband comes home, she waits impatiently at the top of the stairs to see if it's my son, then walks away disappointed when it's not him. This was obviously planned to some degree. Alex clearly shot Paul first, then shot Maggie after she ran towards the gunfire to see what just happened. Alex may have screamed for help. Once she realized what was happening she turned to run...but it was too late to escape since Alex was already aiming the rife at her. Who knows if we'll ever know the real motivation for this, because this is so senseless to begin with. It makes no sense for a stranger to have done this with the family weapons.

If this happened god forbid idk if I could go on in that moment they’d have to sedate me in the hospital. I’d be very concerned about my other children begging them to ensure they’re safe and screaming asking why they weren’t scouring the wood line/woods and him with hunting dogs if I had to id get them out myself and be on someone’s trail. Given all the circumstances his history motive etc. with his body language and calling 20+ people to come stomping around contaminating the scene, he was somewhat calculated just trying to cover his tracks. My worst fear is losing a child or my husband I’d be beyond consolable. Couldn’t even speak coherent words

I see no deception here. Just a genuine reaction to finding such a horrible scene. I’ve witnessed people finding their loved ones and talking with paramedics and police. This is exactly what it looks like. They want to help them so they try to focus and answer questions, they ask if they’re ok, they have moments where they break down, their thoughts are a bit jumbled as they try to cope. He asked nearly word for word the same questions most people ask in this situation. If you watch enough of these cases, you’ll see people who did it tend to not ask about the victims at all. They’re focused on themselves. I don’t see a guilty man here but I haven’t reviewed the rest of the evidence.

One yellow Lab was standing at the cage watching quietly not barking, the other Lab was laying on the floor of the same cage. Both dogs were traumatized but the one laying down was clearly in shock. I know the signs as I'd witnessed it when my dad was taken by ambulance and never returned home, my dog and 2 cats showed outward signs of grief and mourning when he never came home. Well I can honestly and with 100% certainty say that SCLED and responding officer and EMS all collectively fck'd this entire crime scene up. No one should have been walking around in the dirt until someone could be there to examine footprints, tire tracks, etc... In a situation such as this you have to work it from the outside in, not inside out. Far too many people were allowed to walk around and touch and contaminate everything. Once again, we will never know what everyone should have known by now because of the incompetence of everyone involved. If Alex Murdough did kill Maggie and Paul he will most likely get away with it after seeing this video and hearing 16 days of testimony in court so far.
