My mom has worked 20 years in the dental industry and has taught me a lot growing up, you brush your teeth fine Doug. Firstly, you want to only do circular motions in the fronts and backs of your teeth because the tops will ruin the bristles on the brush and a simple back and forth motion is good there. Second, that person that said "use your wrist" is absolutely wrong because repetitive movements like that can cause massive amounts of fatigue especially in elder and more arthritic people like you. Hope this helps!

Advice and a roast
Considering when drawing you're supposed to draw from the shoulder, I would assume you probably do the same when brushing your teeth! Carpal tunnel and arthritis are no joke, kids!
Considering how often toothbrushes should be replaced (was it every 3 months?), do the tops of the teeth ruin the bristles quickly enough for that to matter?
My uncle has been the president of dentistry in the USA, and I can say with confidence that dougdougs careless brushing habits will lead to him losing all his teeth, balding even more and becoming even worse at 2d platformers.

But with how helldivers 2 happened with refunds, you could maybe get a human refunder and just say "i physically could not play for 3 hours because of downloads"
It's a Microsoft product, anti-consumer is part of their DNA.
The timing between Doug saying "I thought it was going to read them" and the Narrator actually reading them is perfect, couldn't have been better scripted.

Worth noting, Blindness is not only a scale, but there are many varieties. They are lots of people with fuzzy vision or color blindness that benefit from accessibility options like menu narrators or high visibility mode and it would be rather callous to say, "well just tough it out or just don't play". That being said this implementation is hilarious.

I'm 90% sure, whoever is blind enough to need a narrator, simply cannot play regardless if its present or not.
If you are legally blind to the point where you need someone to read to you for 20 minutes, hate to break it but you wouldnt be able to enjoy the game in the first place.

Another reason why viewership might go down after Doug is finished coding is his international audience. I remember this stream, I left a short while after the game was downloaded. I had to get up early in the morning, I was already pushing it with my sleep schedule, and it felt like a good ending point. This doesn't explain the viewership going up immediately whenever Doug codes, but it could be why people leave. I watch Doug for his personality and showmanship, I don't necessarily need him to play games.

Also usually the coding usually happens at the start of the stream (or at least before the gameplay).
Since a huge part of the community is european, most of them will be in bed until he starts playing a game.
This doesn't explain an abrupt decline in viewers, but it does explain a gradual one.
i feel like it also has to do with people watching live wanting to see if it works or not and it feels like gambling. also it is satisfying to watch someone resolve a problem after they've been at it for a long time
I feel like coding lets chat take part by giveing suggestions. And interaction is what makes Doug's streams so fun.

Aside from the fact that it is recommended to brush your teeth twice a day, morning breath is absolutely a thing. I brush in the morning so I don't gross out other people.

That is very true, but dentists actually recommend (to people with disabilities or mental health barriers that stop them from brushing twice a day) brushing at night because then you’re not letting all the food and tar sit in your teeth overnight to fester. So, while twice a day is recommended and morning breath isn’t great, brushing your teeth at night is better for your dental hygiene. ^^ Definitely have some mints or gum tho if you don’t brush your teeth before seeing people… my own morning breath repulses me lol

Microsoft Flight Simulator took me 5 days to download because the download application for the game was throttled, at least it let me close out of the launcher and save how much it downloaded so I was able to turn my computer off during the night.
I remember back in high school, I tried to torrent all of Dragonball, Dragonball Z, and Dragonball GT. I had to leave my computer on 24/7, and it still took nine days.
Now I get impatient if a web page takes more than a second to load. What happened?

The thing about DougDoug is that I get to watch a man be bullied into brushing his teeth and then have his technique scrutinized by thousands of people and somehow it makes me laugh so much that I start a coughing fit that makes me think I’m about to die and if I had died at that very moment I would’ve been perfectly fine because I had just witnessed the funniest thing I’ve ever seen.

Some people do, some people don't.
I think a reason why the streams have more viewers during the more "quiet" parts of the stream is that those are the moments when the streamer is most talkative and interacts with chat. When gaming your focus is going to be mostly on the game. And we've all seen people game, seeing someone stuck on a loading screen along with about a thousand others, Now that's a novel situation!.. Also during those moments chat gets to interact with the streamer comparatively more than when mid-gaming, which i think is the main thing. Doug is an interesting person. People wanna hear what he has to say!
Also sidenote, i never know if i should refer to the ytber (or streamer in this case) in third or second person. It feels awkward either way

The reason we stay for the stupid moments like this is simple. It’s because Doug manages to capitalize on little moments like this, that are relatable to us all. We’ve all sat watching a download bar for hours on end at some point. Anxiously waiting for it to finish.
