I bought a home and the water well didn't work. The sellers left several trash bags on the property. I went thru them and found communications between the seller wife to the RE agent about the well not working. I filed my civil suit shortly thereafter. Never underestimate the evidentiary value of trash.

He shoots one or the other first with one weapon and the other just stands there and waits their turn while he puts down either the shot gun or the rifle and picks up either the shot gun or the rifle and then finally shoots the second one? Those small town officers did their very best, considering like you said, they don’t deal with complex murder cases. What would you want them to do, wait an hour and a half for the first FBI or SLED agent to arrive? It’s easy to look back and say they should’ve done this or that. You have to consider where the property is and how long it’s going to take any highly trained SLED or FBI agent to arrive on scene. Everything you see them doing, they were instructed to do. The immediate scene was secured. The house was searched. Everyone on scene the next day are trained professionals with much experience. Even the night of, the first to arrive and questioning AM was calm, asking important questions and communicating with more officers arriving. The dogs aren’t your typical house pets. They are hunting dogs and used to being around strangers. However, I, like you, don’t believe there were any strangers in sight when the actual murders happened. If only they could talk.

I'm hoping the jury is strategic and convicts. The appeals process is long and new evidence will come to the surface for a 2nd trial. By then AM will be convicted on his financial crimes and sentenced. If found not guilty at 2nd trial, no prob-he'll already be in prison and judge can credit time served on murder against financial crimes terms. He'll never be free again.

I realize this is trash. It’s already contaminated, already dirty. I don’t think they can use any DNA or prints on the things they find because they have to see those things being thrown in the trash to ensure who they belong to. But I would love to hear from someone else in law enforcement about how these are typically done and if this is the usual.
