Travis - I “met” you over four years ago. I practiced with you daily to prepare myself for the challenge of caring for my ailing father. I learned the value of pliability from your message from the Tao philosophy; “When first born, we’re small and weak; The living are soft and flexible.
When we die, we become hard and stiff; The dead are rigid, unmoving.”, and witnessed the truth as his health declined. I thanked you after his passing four years ago and you responded ❤
Little did I know at that time, my mother was suffering in silence with her own ailments. She saw the effort it took to care for my father and denied her own need for help. …..the last year has been especially difficult as my mother has become my child. I know “this too shall pass” but I need more. If I may impose: What teachings/books do you turn to in moments of despair?

Is it just me or did this class feel a little sad? Enjoyed it a lot, just a touch melancholy.
I will only do yoga, in this exercise or series, if I respect my own limits. OK? Often some asanas are beyond current strength or flexibility, day or night! Then I return to the resting position. The one like the children. Or Shavassana! ❤🎉😊
