They dont play this song like Myles said it’s a bit hard but it’s also a experimental song for them, not a usual song. Basically the lyrics are a conversation between Myles and Mark about belief. Myles is a agnostic and mark is a believer. Check out blackbird, cry of Achilles, my champion, in loving memory so basically any song of them 😂
The singer for Alter Bridge was in the movie 'Rock Star' near the end. The kid named Thor that Mark Wahlberg pulls up out of the crowd and gives his mic to :)
They were known as Creed but with a different vocalist, and that makes a big big difference... Please check Blackbird, Amsterdam or studio version... AB is really epic!!!!
myles kennedy on vocals best rock singer out there together with the former members of creed. awesome band you must react to blackbird live in amsterdam and in loving memory you wont be dissapointed cheers
You’re 100% correct, the Amsterdam version BLOWS WEMBLEY AWAY! That’s not to say it’s Myles’ fault, he was battling bronchitis so when you consider that, it’s a phenomenal performance BUT when you’re looking for just pure vocal power and emotion, nothing can touch the Amsterdam version
Alter Bridge are huge over here in the UK, they have been playing arenas and are always at the top of the bill on the big rock/metal festivals in Europe, however for some reason their don’t get the attention they deserve in the States. The lead’s singer Myles Kennedy was originally in a band called the Mayfield 4 who toured with Creed back in the 90. The rest of Alter Bridge were in Creed and when they split up Mark Tremonti put AB together. Myles is also the singer with Slash they have some killer tracks of their own and there are some amazing videos online from live shows of Myles performing GnR and Velvet Revolver with Slash.
M&G, I’ll recommend his collab of Sound of Silence with David from Disturbed. He makes a guest appearance at his concert and it’s phenomenal. They truly are a match made in music heaven 💞
Came here for Ginger, Stayed for the reaction!!! In all seriousness though, Alter Bridge has been my favorite band for almost 15 years, especially after finding out that Myles is an agonistic (as I am an Atheist personally) but I have followed Mark Tremonti since the late 90’s with Creed and then with this insanely talented group of musicians in Alter Bridge, and his supremely underrated band Tremonti (more metal). I hope you react to Blackbird, it was a song written as a tribute to Myles’s very close friend Mark Morris who passed away from cancer as they were completely the song/album. As someone who lost my mother 3 years ago to undiagnosed pancreatic cancer it has taken on a whole new importance. Their music helped me get through a couple deployments during my service which I will always appreciate! Thank you for the great reaction!
Can always tell a good artist when it's live ,my favourite so far ,good beat amazing voice ,nice legs once again ,fun reaction, all the best from the UK stay safe keep rocking 🇬🇧🌹💞
The whole blu-ray of the show at Royal Albert Hall is epic. Tremendous show and the band doesn't disappoint. A must see, I own the blu-ray and it gives me chills every time I pull it out to watch.
Surprised at people not hearing of this band. Best voice in rock. Both great guitarist. Solid all the members. Then there's groups with not half there talents have more fame. Very underrated band
The members of this band except the vocalist were originally part of CREED, which was a 90s band. Myles Kennedy is the vocalist, and when Creed stopped, the members joined him and they formed Alter Bridge in the 2000s. (THIS BAND IS INCREDIBLE) 🤘🏻🤘🏻🔥🔥
I'd wager it was Creed that they reminded you of. When I first heard them, I got a heavy Creed vibe, understandably, but then Miles started singing and I thought "thank you Jesus" this is what I always wished Creed could be. Just my two cents. Great reaction as always, cheers!
Cheers guys. Welcome to the family 😂😂 Love this band That note at the end that Myles hits is better than on the album. They have so many good songs. They were formed from the ashes of Creed around 2004. They got rid of Scott Stapp and got in Myles Kennedy Definitely need to check out Blackbird (live from Amsterdam) by Alter Bridge
I like the studio version of Blackbird so much more. Myles' voice sounds so much different in tone in any of the live versions I've seen of that song. I do love that song very very much though. Just my two cents.
@@bazkeen I’m so glad you finally showed them Alter Bridge. Myles is an incredible vocalist, his music has been on my current playlist ever since you shared him with me. Blackbird is still one of my favorites. Absolutely breathtaking and beautiful. But my all time favorite Myles song is Love Can Only Heal. Listen to that at least once a day 💞💞💞
This band is basically Creed w/ a massive vocalist upgrade. If you listen to Wembley, then keep in mind that Myles killed it ill. Live in Amsterdam is great.
Very nice reaction! The 90's band they remind you of is Creed! Well maybe thats because 3 of them are from the band Creed which was considered Christian rock.
The reason they may sound familiar is most of the band was Creed in the past. they basicaly changed lead singers and became alter bridge. That might be the link to the grunge era.
The lead guitarist is Mark Tremonti a guitar God and a song writing genius. He also has a band of his own called Tremonti that he fronts and they just released their 5th album called Marching in Time. You should watch the single release video of the song If Not For You. He started this band cause he had too much music and some of his stuff didn't fit for Alter Bridge. Another epic band.
While watching other songs a thumbnail for your reaction to this was shown and I had already watched it and really enjoyed. I hadn’t left a comment so I thought I would now. Having said that, I noticed it said comments were 6 months ago and wondering why only some 7,000 odd views when you have far greater subs. Maybe your subs have grown tremendously over this period but I usually go back through and watch any that take my fancy. This song would have to be in top 10 songs I’ve heard this year, so it leaves me slightly perplexed as to why so few views???? I know that is not a question easily answered, just curious. ❤️🤘🎸🇦🇺
Not sure why that is. However, more than 50% of our subs are Indonesians. Many of them tend to stick with only the Indonesian artists. Could be some if that - G
Could the 90s band they remind you of be Creed? Because 3/4 of the band was Creed. Replace Scott Stapp with Myles Kennedy on vocals, boom... AlterBridge.
Alter Bridge are great. For a totally different sound I highly recommend Amanda Marshall. Beautiful Goodbye iby her is probably my favorite ballad ever but she's an insanely versatile Canadian rock/pop/hip-hop/soul goddess and all of her songs are so good. She only has 3 albums.

Alter Bridge Blackbird live In Amsterdam is a must
1000% agree
This 100%
yes 100% agree
The Amsterdam version is so much better than the Wembley version that everyone requests!
@@Flashblackyc4 It is, I just don't understand where the Live from Wembley version logic is coming from.
Get ready to head down an Alter Bridge hole... One of the most underrated bands. Checkout Water's Rising, Blackbird, Fortress, Cry of Achilles

I met them 3 times, they are from Florida originally. Yes Blackbird. Best live version is in Amsterdam! They love coming to Texas!
Well if you want to rock with a guitar legend. I would suggest Stevie Ray Vaughan (sounds like non or bon, the last name his ghost is silent.)
The greatest under appreciated band of the last 15 years. They have an awesome catalog

Oh hell yea it is - I was there for both nights of this gig - it was truly awesome.
Interestingly you can also listen to another version of the song which is just the Orchestra, also we'll worth a listen in isolation
Great reaction guys ty

Definitely check out Cry of Achilles when poss
