This song sounds the most like Creed with a better singer - but Tremonti absolutely allowed to go off here with that awesome guitar solo!!
They evolved alot since then, with Myles also playing lead and rhythm guitar - and more complex music. Always melodic no matter how metal or proggy they get. Awesome band!
And to realize this song is nearly 20 years old. Notice Myles without a guitar. He came in late and almost all was done on the album but the vocals.

Big Wreck’s Ian Thornley has actually had a big effect on Myles Kennedy during Kennedy’s Mayfield Four days he said.
Encouraged Myles to write songs in open C tuning - which he used to great effect in ‘Watch over You’.
Both great vocalists!

By far, Myles Kennedy is the best vocalist out there
Most of the album was pretty much done by Mark Tremonti before Miles came to the band so there was still a huge Creed influence on this project. If you see them live, most if not all of the songs performed from this album only has Mark on guitar because it was written with only one. Miles began adding his amazing guitar prowess to the follow up album Blackbird.
Wish I had a dollar for every time I've rewound that guitar solo!

Yes Ginger you are right on today, it has been awhile and MYLES Kennedy has a great voice. Alter Bridge is one of my current favourite groups for bands discovered recently. My one question has nothing to do with them, though. What is the thing where they film, in general, in trash yards. I do not understand. Have seen so many videos where this happens, not just this one. ❤️🤘🎸🎻🇦🇺

I remember first hearing this song on Madden '05, a football video game and at the time I didn't pay much attention. But then I recalled the melody and looked it up and it opened my eyes, and I realized what a banger it is. That guitar solo too just gives me chills.

I love these guys! It's 3/4 of Creed but with a better singer
Hey you guy, they have a new album out called Pawns and Kings. An absolutely awesome album full of great new songs. You should try one of the 5 videos that they have released from this album. The last of which they released called Holiday is a short for Alter Bridge song that would be a good start from the album. Give it a listen you won't be disappointed.
