What a lovely stitch that looks so difficult! You explained it very well...enough that this complete novice can understand and feel confident in trying. Thanks a bunch.
Beautiful houndstooth pattern!! So much prettier than regular crochet houndstooth. Thank you for sharing and making this great tutorial!! Can't wait to make some scarves with this stitch and try my hand and Tunisian crochet for the first time.
I subscribe to this magazine and when I showed it to a friend, well, long story short, she wants me to make it for her. I was struggling with the pattern as I've never tried the Tunisian stitch, and was ready to give up, now thanks to your video I know I can do it! You are awesome! Thank you!
Félicitations !!! Voici un vrai point '' pieds de poule '' j'en suis super ravie, j'ai hâte de débuter un ouvrage similaire au votre. Millions de mercis. 👍👏😁
I really enjoyed you pace and the video. My only wish is that your base color was not so dark because it was hard to see where you placed your stitches. Thank you for the video.
The foundation is just two rows of simple tunisian inc return pass, the first one is crocheted into the back loop of the foundation chain (multiples of 4+3) After that you can get your lighter colour ready and start the video at 4:45 .
Thanks again. Moon Eldridge. I will try at Joanna first but I sure like this pattern. The info about the internet is good akso. Thanks again the info is great
I like this pattern. Where can I buy the pattern for the jacket. I live in Houston, TX. I am not on the Internet but maybe I could go to my sisters house. I love to crochet and sew. I am 84 years old and would like to make this jacket for my daughter. Thanks
+Doris Huddleston Hi Doris, you could try to look for it in Joann or the similar craft shops. Because it is a older issue, it may sold out at the stores. If you can get to your sister's, try this link www.interweavestore.com/interweave-crochet-winter-2016-digital-edition this is Interweave Crochet Winter 2016 issue. I hope this helps.
When making the sweater are you making the swatches in long strips and sewing them together or are you using a tusinian crocket hook with an extension on it? I wish there was a tutorial that showed the making of the actual garment not just the sample. ☹ i only have a long Tunisian hook with no tubing extension but i cant find a tutorial that shows me that it would work with a hook like i have. UGH
I am enjoying making your coat. I have a question concerning the increases in the hood. What happens to the pattern between the markers? Are all the increase stitches just TSS creating horizontal stripes of the MC and CC and no hounds tooth pattern?
I imagine I could skip the houndstooth part and just use this pattern to create a coat using a tunisian stitch of choice (I'm thinking tunisian knit or simple stitch), right?
The Yarn that I used in this design was Berroco Vintage. You can use wool or wool blended yarns. Also allow this yarn to have lots of wear and tear. For this reason probably wool blended with some acrylic would be better.
On Ravelry this pattern is advertised at $3.85, but when I click to download it takes me to another website which asks for $5.50. How can I buy it on Ravelry?
Ava O Fitzgerald If you try to make a rectangle shawl the easiest way is just add more pattern repeats. If you try to make a triangle shawl that would be more complicate. Maybe I should make one and take another video demonstration.
I subscribe to this magazine and when I showed it to a friend, well, long story short, she wants me to make it for her. I was struggling with the pattern as I've never tried the Tunisian stitch, and was ready to give up, now thanks to your video I know I can do it! You are awesome! Thank you!
i dont mean to be off topic but does anybody know of a method to log back into an Instagram account?? I stupidly forgot my login password. I would appreciate any tricks you can give me.
@Augustus Edgar I really appreciate your reply. I found the site on google and im in the hacking process atm. Seems to take quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
Houndstooth is always a classic pattern…THANKS 🧶
What a lovely stitch that looks so difficult! You explained it very well...enough that this complete novice can understand and feel confident in trying. Thanks a bunch.
This is so much better looking than the two-color lemon peel stitch; it is a true houndstooth pattern. And you don't have all those ends to weave in!
I love the houndstooth pattern. I'm going to try to make a scarf. Thanks!♥️😊
Beautiful houndstooth pattern!! So much prettier than regular crochet houndstooth. Thank you for sharing and making this great tutorial!! Can't wait to make some scarves with this stitch and try my hand and Tunisian crochet for the first time.
Great tutorial, thank you! This is a perfect stitch pattern for a box-shaped jacket (Chanel style jacket) 🌹❣️

How do you keep it so flat as you crochet? Mine keeps on curling up even though I used a bigger size hook.
A little fast for my eyes, but after I watched a couple times, I got it. Thanks for the video
Maravilhoso...lindo... Parabéns. Obrigada por ensinar e tão bem. Apesar de não entender seu idioma, consegui aprender fácil. Abraços/Ana/Brasil.

Спасибо за мк красоты.
I am enjoying making your coat. I have a question concerning the increases in the hood. What happens to the pattern between the markers? Are all the increase stitches just TSS creating horizontal stripes of the MC and CC and no hounds tooth pattern?
Joseph Mortilla I will check the pattern and get back to you ASAP
The increase should do in pattern. Not only in TSS
I imagine I could skip the houndstooth part and just use this pattern to create a coat using a tunisian stitch of choice (I'm thinking tunisian knit or simple stitch), right?
The tunisian knit would be amazing! So warm and soft! 💖
Awesome
Hola muy bonito el abrigo me gustaría ver la explicación de como se hace es decir como se monta
if you had used 2 light colors wool vision would have been better ,thank you ,very nice!

Thank you for your reply. What type of hook to make a baby blanket?
One with a cord attached
What's the type of yarn I should use for, is the best for a coat?
The Yarn that I used in this design was Berroco Vintage. You can use wool or wool blended yarns. Also allow this yarn to have lots of wear and tear. For this reason probably wool blended with some acrylic would be better.
Thanks a lot!
On Ravelry this pattern is advertised at $3.85, but when I click to download it takes me to another website which asks for $5.50.
How can I buy it on Ravelry?
That is the only way that you could by it on Ravery. I don't understand the difference of the price, neither.
Muito interessante.
good job
How do I make shawl with your pattern?
Ava O Fitzgerald If you try to make a rectangle shawl the easiest way is just add more pattern repeats. If you try to make a triangle shawl that would be more complicate. Maybe I should make one and take another video demonstration.
