Hi Yana! I ha e been sharing your videos on FB so that everyone I know can check out your wonderful videos! I have a request dear. Could you do a video on making a hooded sweater with the knit tuenisen stitch? The reason being that I am making one now and have questions that I cant find answers for. I really wish that there were more artists posting good work on here. It really does help us all out in the end! Once again thank you for sharing i wanted you to know that my friend who was a knitter is now a crocheter too!
Hi I’ve tried so many times to learn Tunisian stitch with you tube. But I couldn’t. You are so great and your teaching method is so clear and easy to follow. I’m so excited. Just question: How can I crochet a top or a jumper with this stitch ? I can only crochet straight lines 😊 Thank you so much ❤
So happy to hear you're finally getting into Tunisian crochet 😊 it's the best. One easy way to make a sweater is to just crochet 4 different rectangles (front, back, 2 sleeves) and sew them together
If you wanted to make a blanket with this pattern, would it be best to do many squares? I would imagine it would be impossible to keep all of the stitches on the hook for a blanket size project.
i am so excited to try this! thank you! i was wondering how exactly would i finish it off? the same way i would a normal chain? or is it a different way?
Yes, it very easy to do with an Afghan hook. There are 2 kinds. 1 has a hook with cord and a disc on the end of the cord The other is the afghan hook. Usually in a size 8. I often see them at Walmart and Joanns. There atea lotog vintage books and patterns for scarves. The technique 2as super popular in the 70' s. The blankets work up like long panels and the ate stitched together. @@YanasCrochet
I learned to crochet 42 years ago. I am a self-taught knitter for about 15 years ago. In my opinion knitting is so much harder to do. I prefer the look of knitting to crochet, but I struggle with 2 or more tools (needles) and find I'm in more pain after knitting because I tense up. I've tried so hard to stick with it and have made many beautiful knitted things. For me, crochet is so much more relaxing and I find I am more creative with it vs knitting.
Hi Yana, I have been enjoying your Facebook posts for a long time. This is the first of your RUclips videos i have watched. Excellent instruction. Is this Tunisian crochet fabric thicker than knitted fabric? Thank you.
@@YanasCrochet i have lots of 4 bulk yarn , i was thinking of 30x30 inches blanket to start, I'm new to crochet and a bit nervous , can u guide me pls and thx 😊
Hi, if you look into how you turn your work.. think this helps it sit better, be consistent in how you turn. You sould find proper guide for this.. good luck.@YanasCrochet
@@YanasCrochet Thanks...I have an old Tunisian crochet book ....black and white photos....and the instructions are a bit vague. Trico looks like knit and visa versa. They could even be the same. !!!
Is there anyway that you would share the name brand and color of the yarn you used in the main picture (pink, blue and brown). Please and thank you. Beautiful colors.

Thank you Why am I getting the knit stitch going across instead of up and down I'm going to keep going I'll get it eventually😂🎉 xx

You can get Tunisian crochet hooks for making a blanket. The hook would have a long cord with a stopper at the end to keep all the stitches on

Hi, Yana, would you please show how to turnisian in round ?
I'll work on making a video 😊
Thankyou
Thanks alot ❤❤
I would like to make a sweater from this stitch but I have no idea how 😢your videos are amazing ❤
Thank you! You could just make 4 rectangles (front, back, 2 sleeves) and sew them together 😊
@ ohhhh thank you so much 😊
Can you do this on an American crochet hook?? How would it work for a longer project like a scarf
If the scarf is not too wide, maybe you can do it with a regular crochet hook, but still you would probably need a longer hook
Yes, it very easy to do with an Afghan hook. There are 2 kinds. 1 has a hook with cord and a disc on the end of the cord

Do you have a pattern using this stitch for a chevron blanket?
No, I don't not
Whats the difference from knitting ? Is it quicker? Easier? Is it worth trying if you can just knit ?
It's just different. This is crochet, so even though you can have it look like knitting, you're still crocheting 😊 It is just preference
Yes easier from knitting
I’d say mistakes are easier to fix here

Is this Tunisian crochet fabric thicker than knitted fabric? Thank you.
I think it is a little thicker than knitting, also the back doesn't look as good as knitting but close enough 😊
How can we make cardigans from this pattern?
Can u make a blanket with this and how many chain stitch do i need?
You can absolutely make a blanket. Chain length will depend on the size of the yarn and hook you use and the size of the blanket you want
@@YanasCrochet i have lots of 4 bulk yarn , i was thinking of 30x30 inches blanket to start, I'm new to crochet and a bit nervous , can u guide me pls and thx 😊
Should I use a even number when changing the first row???
It doesn't matter
Can I ask the name and brand of the yarn used for the very first picture of your video ?
Yes, that’s a beautiful yarn!
Wait what if the length i need longer than the hook? What should i do?😢
There is longer hook
You need tunisian crochet hooks. I have some tagged in the video
How would you increase or decrease a stitch
I don't knit as I like crocheting better. I was thinking arm holes and necklines instead of blankets.
Hello Yana's, I would like to ask if the yarn is Papatya batik 27 ? Thank you for your answer
It is papatya batik but unfortunately I don't know the specific color number
Where can I buy the croshet
روعه بس كيف اذا اريدها بطانيه عدد سلسله طويل ؟❤
You have to use a tunisian crochet hook, with a long cord
نفس السؤال عاوزة سلسة طويلة بس مش فاهمة ترجمة كلامها استخدم ابره طويلة ازاي بتاع التريكو
@@YanasCrochetwhat is the meaning long cord ,I want a photo plz❤❤
I tried this but mine is curling up from the top and bottom what to do?
Tunisian crochet has a tendency to curl up, using a bigger hook (crocheting not as tight) should help
Hi, if you look into how you turn your work.. think this helps it sit better, be consistent in how you turn. You sould find proper guide for this.. good luck.@YanasCrochet
I press my ends before connecting-like if I’m making a sweater-I press the ends before connecting the panels
How do we end this product? 🥹

So is this called knit stitch or trico stitch...
Knit stitch

@@JamesGower-ch5zj they might be the same, just a fancier name 😊

It's actually a Turkish yarn, unfortunately not available in the states
It is not right for a big sweater bcz the croshet is not so long as required for the big one
You can make it as big as you need to
If you use Tunisian cabled hooks you can make a sweater with this stitch.
