Just saw it today and I was blown away by it. The portrayal of the relationship and the presentation of the movie felt so real. It made me care for the characters more and the end was especially heart-breaking. After walking out of the theater I still felt sad and I was only slowly going to back into the real world.

I really enjoyed it, however The Florida Project and Good Time ware quite a lot better in my opinion.

I am one of those obsessives who have seen this film many many times. I have come down on the decision that this is the best movie I have ever seen in my nearly 70 years. I'm not a huge movie fan, but I have seen many over the years. This is the only one I have seen 5 times within the first week at a theatre, then the rest of the times (18 to date) on line. I plan on further views.

Best movie of the year and one of the best movies of the decade. It drips with humanity and emotion. It is so beautiful. Yes, there is a certain lack of conflict, but I was never bored. I was in awe watching that beautiful relationship develop. I didn't care that there was no conflict because I was really invested in their relationship. I've seen few movies that are this beautiful.

Awww I wish you'll take on Portrait of a Lady on Fire as well. I see it as a parallel to Call Me by Your Name, not because the same sex implication, but the transendence atmosphere and theme of strong passion / first love.

FYI, the piano isn't the "score," that's Maurice Ravel's 'Une Barque Sur L'Ocean,' a piece written by a classical composer over 100 years ago as part of his 'Miroirs' suite. To hear you attribute this timeless piece to this film's score is insulting.

I was not a fan of this movie... Michael Stulhberg and Marzia aside, the other characters are unlikable as fuck
