- Thanks for watching my video! I have been playing around a lot with these protein puff/crisps. I really enjoy the smaller puffs in my yogurt for added texture, kind of makes me feel like I’m eating cereal. I did want a larger version so that it would feel like I’m having chips/crackers, only because I like that sort of thing and I wanted to switch it up from always relying on my meat chips.
Let me know what type of creations you come up with. I will be trying these with EBTB seasoning, I think that will be so good! The possibilities are endless and I will be playing around with different seasonings, varying from sweet to savoury.
Ingredients
34g Egg white protein powder
Just under a 1/2 cup of liquid egg whites with water added to it
1/2 tsp cream of tartar
1/4 tsp real salt
1/2 tbsp allulose
2 tbsp unflavoured whey protein powder
Desired amount of flavouring seasonings
Baking times are quite finicky and will vary from oven to oven. In my oven I started at 350°F and then brought it down to 250°F and then at the end 190°F. I did list the times in the video but you can use your judgement on your preferred Colour and crispiness.

I love this! I made these today and they came out great! I didn't use a piping bag. I used my smallest cookie scoop, and then I flattened them with my finger. Came out great! It is so nice to have something crunchy but almost pure protein. Thanks for your creativity!

Since these are nice and crunchy, I'll probably use them in "chex mix". I've been doing Vernaz' rice crispy recipe (but I reduce the inulin) to make pretzels and they are super crunchy and great with chex mix seasoning. So to make your puffs into chex mix, I wouldn't worry too much about completely drying them since the baking with the seasoning in the oven would finish the dessication process.
Thank you so much for mentioning Vernaz, I’ve never seen her and she’s wonderful and creative too! I made her cereal recipe and topped it with a few spoons of her toffee to make caramel corn. It was crazy good! Oh man. Thanks again.

@@sherylfernandes2710 I just searched Vernaz keto and it came up. She’s really creative like Kris (not that I’m comparing them!). Be careful cuz that recipe has a lot of inulin in it, we had some discomfort eating too much. Low carb for all!
I like brushing mine w/homemade garlic butter & EBTB seasoning, about halfway through baking. I make w/roasted garlic cloves I mash into a paste & blend up w/butter, onion powder, pepper & a little dry chicken base. Yep~ you likely guessed it~ they are a cross between "Chicken In A Biskit" & an everything bagel, imagine that, right?! Super amazingly delicious, no dip needed for me~ though salmon dip would sure be worth trying, or maybe tzatziki~ yum =)
For your popcorn version, I wonder if a few drops of corn extract, along w/the butter flavoring might be good~ certainly sounds good.🍿 ~Samantha in AZ
Nutritional yeast will probably give you the cheese flavour
I listen to Keto Upgrade. She is a pastry chef. She says Allulose not only browns but also makes bread more soft. So using less allulose might work at making your puffs more crispy. They sure look good.
Do you have a link for purchasing the pipping tip you used to make the crackers?

Netrition seems to carry cheaper versions of their products, but they also sell on Amazon and of course their own site 😊

I don’t know how or where I can post a question about another video short I just saw. Where can I find your recipe for the Easter peanut butter chocolate eggs?
I did do a little write up on Instagram for the actual recipe, but I may be able to answer your question here too.
I heated a little bit of keto chocolate chips with some coconut oil and did a thin layer of chocolate on the bottom. Allowed it to harden in the freezer and then added the peanut butter filling and covered with more chocolate.
For the peanut butter filling I used
2 tbsp vanilla whey protein
3 tbsp powdered peanut butter
2 tbsp powdered swerve
A little bit of water and a splash of vanilla.

I know not everyone likes to use Keto Chow, but think I would try using the taco flavor as the protein powder.

Thanks I actually got it at bulk barn. I’m in Canada I’m not sure if you have one where you’re at, but that’s where they have a lot of baking tools and stuff as well as your spices and such☺️

Can I make these with pea protein powder?
i wonder what nutritional yeast might be like in these???....
Is there a possible substitute for whey protein powder, don't have any. And is the allulose for color? It gives me gastric distress even in the smallest amounts. Maybe monkfruit instead?
I am going to try collogen for the whey substitute. I might do a egg wash halfway through for the browning and omit allulose altogether. Hurts my stomach too.
Hi! I've experimented myself with a similar recipe. EBTB works awesome. Check out Gremberry Farms flavors to add to the recipe. Rich has popcorn and all kinds of affordable/amazing flavors! He is an amazing and kind guy! I still have not been able to create the perfect snack, but I'm going to keep trying. You have a great channel👍😁❤
What is the purpose of adding water to the egg whites?
By watering down the egg whites I find it makes them a little more less stiff, if the whole amount of liquid was egg whites I find it makes it a little bit too stiff… if the whole amount is water it’s not stiff enough if that makes sense🤗

I think sesame seeds would taste good.
