- Thanks for watching! I hope you guys enjoy the new version. I know it’s not traditional to use coconut flour in PSMF bread. I was just playing around last week and I’m glad I was. I’m really liking this version, I hope you guys enjoy it. If you do try it let me know!
I only tweaked my original modified version of Maria Emmerich’s’s PSMF bread that I had posted back in the beginning of summer. Basically by adding the 1 tablespoon of coconut flour and instant yeast in addition to the nutritional yeast for more yeast flavour. Also I baked this loaf in my oven instead of my air fryer.

Ingredients
2 eggs separated
1 cup egg whites
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
3 heaping tablespoons egg white protein powder(60 grams)
1 teaspoon nutritional yeast
1/2 teaspoon instant yeast
1/2 teaspoon of xanthan gum
2 heaping tablespoons confectioners Swerve
1/4 teaspoon of salt
*Optional you can brush your buns and bread with an egg wash half way through your baking time, but it is not necessary.
I baked the bread at 325°F for 35 minutes and left in the oven for 30 minutes turned off. I baked the buns at 325°F for 20 minutes and then pulled them out.

Thank you for a nice tweak having tried PSMF bread many times and never had success was so very pleased when this worked beautifully first time! I have a fan assisted oven so reduced the temperature by 15 celsius and baked for 18 mins and left to cool in oven 20 mins...thank you for sharing
From the versions of this bread I’ve tried so far, this is the only recipe that has worked for me. Thank you for this version. It is soft and tastes the most like bread instead of styrofoam. I do have to say I did use allulose instead of swerve bc I have a sensitivity to erithritol but otherwise followed it and it was perfect.
I loved the flavor and texture of this bread! The coconut flour gave more body and a better texture to the bread! I have tried other recipes, but this one is the best! Thank you Crystal. I have subscribed!😊

Just made this version last weekend right after you uploaded, and it turned out great! I even add the coconut flour. But I replaced the nutritional yeast with just parmesan cheese lol. OMG so soft and fluffy 🍞. This is my favorite lowcarb psmf-ish bread ever! Great toasted, and I made cinnamon french toast with these. Yum! Thank you! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I’ve done a few loafs with egg yolks at the end and that’s been a game changer for me. The texture and taste is just so much better

I have all my ingredients set out to bake tonight and just happened upon your channel. So glad you tweaked the recipe adding just a little coconut flour. I had been wondering if that would improve the texture, to be more bread like. (I add a tablespoon of coconut flour to my cream cheese chaffle and they are light and fluffy like a pancake) I am most definitely going to binge watch your channel this weekend! 😊

Wow I first saw you making tweeks to this bread way back before any other you tuber. And once again you have added some great ideas 💡 love that you are making a more affordable version for us without allulose and yolk powder, and the addition of egg wash at end for browning is super smart. I was brainstorming perhaps adding baking powder since that helps in browning, but may not solve the dry texture on crust. I will definitely try your recipe 😋 thank you.

I was holding out from buying those other ingredients as well, but I finally caved and I ordered some allulose only because I plan to use it for some Christmas baking that needs that kind of caramel sauce. So I figured I will do a loaf with it to see what all the hype is about but it’s not some thing I plan to regularly order😆🤗
OMG! I have made a few pmfs breads, and all of them have been dry and had an eggy or foam mattress texture. The tablespoon of coconut flour is a game changer. This is going to be my new bread from now on. Even my picky, fussy husband said it was good. I’m making your grandmother's angel food cake right now.

🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 I don't have the patience to experiment much with the PSMF recipes. I only do this occasionally. Thank you for showing all these variations. I think I will be making this very soon! I have a muffin top pan which I will use for buns. Not sure if spraying the heck out of it with avocado oil or cutting out parchment circles will work best. I'll probably try both. Thanks again.

I do you have a muffin top pan I was planning to make some dinner rolls with it this evening. I tweak this recipe to make some dinner rolls a while back but was going to try again. I think if you sprayed it with avocado oil that would be good. I found in the past when I use it even if it does stick a bit I use my rubber little spatula to lift it out of the mould🤗

I had to come back to tell you how much adding a TB of coconut flour saved my shriveled & shrunk-up bread! I made this bread with the 2 eggs first & it was a touch too eggy tasting, but it didn't shrivel lol So I omitted one of the eggs & only used active yeast. Toasts up good, instead of burning & I don't feel like I'm choking on the crumbs in my throat ..

I actually have not tried freezing this particular batch but I imagine it would work just fine because I froze psmf bread before and it worked well☺️

Thank you so much! I know exactly what you mean. This one toasted up a little bit better with the banana nut bread I had toasted it and added some butter and cinnamon sugar and it was really good. I find when I’m eating this bread I don’t choke on it as much when eating fast if you know what I mean😆

I’m not able to use all that much egg white protein powder either. And I wonder if she is selling that product
I think she may be selling it I’m not sure though. I’ve never had a problem with a Kirkland egg whites whipping for me and the stand mixture is so much easier since I’ve gotten it🤗
@@ketocarnivoreishcrys3446 I don’t remember what happened. But I noticed that the fresh egg whites whip ether when very fresh. I know I was using an older carton of the Kirkland egg whites in the case.
It’s just me using the whites, so I will probably get the grocery store one.

@@ketocarnivoreishcrys3446 it would be conventional or convection. So you're using a convection oven? I'd need to adjust for my conventional oven.🤔
I do have a convection oven it does run hotter☺️
Could you consider making a video about how you transition from weightloss keto/carnivore to maintenance?
I see so many videos about weightloss and keto, and I love them; but I’m super curious about how the transition looks. Do you still meal plan? Do you add more meat? Do you add more carbs? Do you add less clean ingredients? Do you just eat the same thing except more of it?
Please fill in this gap for those of us who are curious how it looks please?

I will see about doing a video, I tend to be a little bit different because I switched back from Carnivore to keto throughout the month based on my cycle so it’s not as conventional as others. I’ve been trying to balance from transitioning with my PSMF days and figuring it all out, while navigating my way through it I should say😆🤗
@@ketocarnivoreishcrys3446 I understand. It takes a while to sort it all out, I’m sure. I had an 8 month stall, after losing 92lbs on carnivore, then I decided to try calorie counting with keto. I’m down 108lbs now with keto, but I am still meat focused with 8oz 80/20 beef for breakfast, 10oz 93/7 beef and some veggies at lunch, and then 6-8oz chicken for supper.
I’ve been adding the keto things like veggies, marinara, seaweed wraps, for some fun flavors, but trying to keep it all around 1600 calories.
When that stops I’ll probably drop to 1500, then 1400, and so on to see what works.
One thing I know doesn’t work for me-lean every day. It gives me constipation. So that’s definitely out lol.

I just received the banana nut bread flavor of egg white powder. So how exactly did you make your banana loaf? Did you substitute the plain egg white powder with the flavored egg white powder?
Yay that’s exciting! Yes I just switched out the plain egg white powder for the banana nut flavoured egg powder. Once it was in the bread pan I sprinkled a little bit of crushed walnuts and chocolate pieces on top🤗

I also bought the Coconut Cream Pie flavor, Peanut Butter flavor, and Salted Caramel flavor. I went directly to the manufacturer's website on Cyber Monday for a great price! I'll be making high-protein shakes with this powder as well.

I made these this morning and it is the 2nd time ie used your recipe. They turn out ok, but nothing to write home about. But my question is I find that they have a grittiness to them. But I'm very picky eater so I keep thinking it's my imagination. I bought my egg white powder from Judees could that be it? Interested in your opinion. Thank you
Coconut flour is gritty for sure, even if you grind it finely. It definitely isn't the egg white powder.
How do you like your bun pan? Is it easy to clean? I saw them on amazon but was afraid it may be too flimsy.
I do really like it, you need a baking tray underneath but other than that it’s good. I find I like the way it shapes the bread really nice. Kind of reminds me of subway. It can be a little tricky for me to clean sometimes but I still really like it🤗

So I made the banana bread the exact same way as I did these recipes except. I used the banana nut egg white protein powder instead of the plain egg white protein powder. Once the bread was all in the pan I sprinkled a little bit of crushed walnuts on top with some chocolate I baked it the same way and for the same amount of time.
If you did not have the banana nut protein powder you could just use your plain egg white protein powder and add a lot of banana extract to flavour it like banana bread and then add the little bit of crushed walnuts and chocolate on top🤗
The next time I make it I may try to make a shorts video☺️

Maybe it’s worth a shot I’ve used way protein powder it’s not quite the same but it was still 😊
Ok tried the whey protein powder, was eatable but won’t do it again, had a weird feeling on the teeth 😬 don’t do it lol 😂

does yours ever get 'sticky' on top? I store mine in a bag on the counter, have tried fridge too but almost always gets 'sticky' sometimes more than other times.
After I’ve stored them in the fridge sometimes the buns do get a little bit sticky on top but not the bread. I’m not sure why that is🤔 but if I reheat the buns in my air fryer or the toaster it’s fine🤷♀️🤗
Okay, I followed ur directions, however didn't add the coco flour. During cooking it rose about 1.5 inches above top of pan, and during cooling it went back to size when it was put into pan.
This is the third time this happened using the yolk addition.i made sure that the egg whites were stiff peaks. Never had an issue with just using egg whites and protein powder. Any suggestions what I am doing wrong.
Hmm I am not sure why that would be. I know mine does rise a bit more and come down a little bit but I don’t think that much. How does the bread taste and cut☺️ i’m wondering if the coconut flour helps keep it fluffier and more risen🤷♀️

Tastes good, slices good. I don't understand why either. I usually use 350° however urs said to 325°. I N also uses the lower temp as well and her recipe turns out "flat" as well. I have a feeling that it could be the temp.
I will try one adding the coco flour & low temp and the other one with higher temp.

Yes I added coconut flour. Lately I have not I’ve been keeping it more carnivore I haven’t done an updated video yet though☺️
So what is the difference between this and the original recipe? Also, what is the taste difference? I’m new to the PSMF bread.
So in the original recipe it only uses egg whites and egg white powder sweetener and salt. It is good but I find by adding the yolks and the coconut flour and yeast it adds more flavour a different texture and a little less Styrofoam like if that makes sense☺️
Please, can you share your recipe for the fat-free Nutella?
I guess it’s not quite Nutella, but I use that peanut butter powder that’s low in fat and I add sweetener and cocoa powder with a little bit of water and sometimes I add my chocolate skinny syrup or the hazelnut skinny syrup and then I get a faux fat-free Nutella if that makes sense🤗

Can you really taste the yeasty flavor with the instant yeast?
It does add a bit of that yeast flavour and smell but it is not necessary if you can’t tolerate it☺️
Is nutritional yeast a must in the recipe?

Have you tried the salted caramel flavor with the egg protien powder? Not a banana fan but interested in the Carmel. With the price I wanted your review.
I have not. I really wanted some banana bread so that’s why I ordered the banana nut one. I am planning to order the caramel one because I think it would be just as good. I was thinking I could use it in the recipes for danishes and cinnamon buns and then again it would save me money because I find these container sizes to be more cost-effective. As far as the egg white protein powder it seem to work just as well if not better than the no yolking🤗
