This game will be good for the athletes stay out out of trouble and study opponents week in and week out.
It was good to see an actual player cooking for a fan base that was largely offline oriented. It gives the impression that having actual football expertise and experience will be crucial to the balance. not only abilities from video games.

I think what they showed in the gameplay trailer was the quality mode which is usually 30 fps, and what Bordeaux is showing is probably performance mode which is 60 fps.

This game just looks so much more natural than the newer madden games, if that makes any sense. Like the players move more like people and look like they have some weight behind them. I’m super excited!

Yeah that statement is 100% true. Especially playing at that level of college football and further. I think its just more so of being able to understand the assignments clearly. Playing HB even just at the college level, translates to finding the gaps easier when running the ball in madden such as using the ladder, setting up blockers and waiting for cutback lanes.

Yeah it helps some but a Video Game is not real and it works differently. Which is why in Madden you can use one formation and just adjust and cook people. However, this dude probably grew up playing Madden and most young players play video games. Many Athletes play sports games. That helps a lot. Plus, though BD plays NCAA for a living he doesn’t play competitive. A lot of the Mut streamers who also play NCAA probably would have fared much better.
@@sixplicit2977nah, if someone understands football concepts, they're gonna do good in games even like madden. When I used to play and didn't understand football schematics much, I wasn't very good at the game, but once I actually took time to understand football concepts better and was learning how to make better reads, then I actually became more of a solid player on madden. Trust, Edwards real life football experience is why he played well on the game, plus Bordeaux is more of an offline player

Blocking out of the back field is still horrible. 21:15 the Fullback runs into the ball carrier just like we see in Madden. Other than that, running the ball will be easy.

yeah I wanted to actually see gameplay w/ no one talking. Since I only play offline, that would've been good to see. I guess I won't see/hear that until I actually have the game.

I wish they add realism movements to defense pre-snap, the player shouldn’t be running/turning their entire body away from the line of scrimmage without keeping their head on the swivel. I seen a vid on madden 25 showcasing the small details of defensive players moving fluently and communicating pre snap.
Edit: maybe I haven’t played any football game since 14 but I like how when you made the big grad on the sideline w/ Texas and the sideline reaction to it
That will probably be in next years game.
While there’s still some of the Frostbite jankiness that you see in Madden, gameplay looks a lot smoother with a lot of promise. Very happy to see passes being layered and WRs being thrown open, as opposed to super human LBs and CBs picking them off while jumping and facing the wrong way. I also like seeing the WRs react to INTs as opposed to doing nothing.
While I still wish they’d build a new physics engine, it’s showing a lot of promise. I hope it’s good on release with minimal bugs, and I hope the AI as well as new user features implemented will remove cheese plays.
Depending on how this game develops over time with patches, We may get a new engine and Madden will officially be dead.

The part I noticed the most that I know they focused on a couple times in the EA video is that the catches actually seem natural. There was maybe a _little_ bit of ball warping but in most cases it wasn't noticeable at all and certainly a huge improvement from Madden.
@@ninetailedfox579121 yeah, and the pass defense looked balanced. The biggest issue i saw was inconsistent o-line AI, as well as terrible pursuit angles, and players getting stuck on one another. Def not as egregious as Madden tho

My biggest issue is trench play still doesn't look solid. I don't know how much time they spend on the OL and DL battle as most people think it looks like a jumbled mess but if you pay attention most of the technique is abandoned and just has the animation take over. like at 6:21 the center is supposed to cross the DT then the guard helps turn the DT inside before releasing to the 2nd level. But if you look the guard releases while the DT still has outside leverage. Once the guard releases that DT would have been in perfect position to fill the hole. Instead what you get is a suction animation followed by the DT just standing there not moving at all followed by a jumbled mess of a predetermined outcome. This is just one example but there are plenty others.
It feels like they need a new engine for that to go away.

@@launchbase4944 that’s what I am saying, the way it’s programmed currently is obviously not ideal, i probably should have said they need to make a massive overhaul to the current engine, not make a new one.

It will probably take me a while to understand the passing system but basically you want a blue meter so that your receiver can gain yards after the catch and maintain balance, yellow is okay if you’re leading your receiver to a specific spot in the field like say for instance your in a two minute situation and you want to lead your receivers out of bound so that they can catch and toe tap inbounds and get out of bounds to stop the clock, and you don’t want red unless you have a crazy receiver that can pull an OBJ and somehow can come down with the ball otherwise they’ll either drop it or get their bell rung by a hard-hitting defender.
These videos and new hit a little different for those of us who played NCAA 14. Most people complaining on these videos have only been madden players. its been a long 11 years BOYS, ITS ALMOST HERE!
