Very nice build. I built one on the blue Kent frame from wort mort. Top speed of 30. Starts first or second pull. Came with a bad spark plug. Alignment was perfect never used the tensioner. I mounted it out of the way on the bike just in case.

I've had the wee 49cc two stroke chinese thing for 12 years now, it still runs okay on the flats😊😉 it's lost it's power for the hilly bits😆😂😂 I tried a longer pipe which increased the power, yet the tick over had to be stupidly high to prevent it from stalling when stopped in traffic😆😅😂 plus, the clangity clang of the two stroke gets a bit much after 20 minutes🤔🥴😜 great inspiration, thank you...

I switched to a heavier chain, 415H is a scooter chain, much beefier. Installed a different front wheel with a brake disk and welded the caliper to the fork, it really stops with authority now. they do require decent tools to install and theyre fiddly , need regular work but loads of fun on the snowmobile trails up here in Maine.

You may have had a chain issue. My kit came with an out-of-spec 415 chain. When I laid it alongside a 41 chain, the 41 was longer until at the end of about 4.5 feet, the 41 was 3/8 to about 1/2 longer than the 415 with the same number of links. The length or pitch of the links on the 41 and 415 is supposed to be 1/2 inch on both, exactly equal, which it wasn't.

I noticed some kits on ebay dont show a crank spindle in the ebay product photos. I wanted to know if your kit came with a spindle or did u have already or purchase separately
If the bike is in motion, some cooling should take place, as it does with the uncooled 2 stroke engines, however on my 4 stroke engine I prefer the well engineered intact cooling system. The factory design cools the engine at all times, whether moving through the air, or not.
It's been Flawless other than coming loose once or twice so you need to check those once in awhile. But it works great haven't had any issues. I think it's a lot smoother than the chain drive transmission
I have the same 53cc kit with the exact same problems as you. My chain won't operate smoothly, and my center bolt on the large pulley was also loose. I have ordered a 41 chain and I'm hoping it will solve the chain issue. Any advice on the chain problem? And where did you buy a new small drive sprocket?
I have had no chain issues since that but the engine and sprocket were out of alignment a bit and the new hub mount for the rear sprocket fixed the tight and loose issue. I still have the stock front sprocket. The motor is still running great.

Hey Chris! That is a rag joint it's not a very good sprocket assembly but it comes with the kit. In another video I have it shows the better route to go, it clamps around the Hub and it's not as wacky as that. that is very hard to get set perfectly. The Hub mount is not that expensive and it's definitely the way to go
I used the rubber handle off of an old umbrella on the factory kickstand. Clamped it with the old coaster brake bracket. Much more stable. It doesn't even try to fall over and it doesn't look bad.

Yes, but it has a little drag if the motor is not running because you're pulling another chain. I guess if the motor broke down you could pull the master link off of the chain and pedal your way home
Some one gotta create some kind quick release for chain links like if ya had to peddle it would be so much easier if ya could disconnect the motor chain

Yeah,, I painted it black and it looks better. But Im keeping it as a cooling fan for now. It does look cool with a new flywheel and exposed magneto though.
The original sprocket was about 26 or 27 miles an hour. But when I changed it to the 46 I think it is 43 I can't remember. It does about 35 miles an hour. But it doesn't climb hills as good.
Another thing people should realize these are not mopeds if they were the pedals wouldn't be able to pedal t bike they would just be to start the motor and there wouldn't be a pull start
A MoPed is a bike with peddals and a motor, thus Mo Ped...how it starts has no bearing in the matter. I once had a TOMOS MoPed that started by peddaling backwards...
This engine comes with a forced air cooling fan, and you have crippled the cooling system by removing part of the ducting, just like many people do, who do not understand how important cooling is.
Yea these kits don’t come with a cooling system I have baught and assembled multiple engines this exact make and model they DO NOT come with a fan or anything like that it’s an air cooled 4 stroke
@@thakoalaking5022 They most definitely do :) there are fins under the cover that hosts the rope-pull start, and the cover is molded to direct the air where it needs to go. Unlike the 2 stroke kits that only get air-cooled when in motion, the 4 stroke kits are being cooled even during idle

Yes I agree, it's mostly just a hobby not really a form of transportation for me, I just like to build something cheap once in awhile and have a little fun with it. Those electric bikes are addicting and quiet , really nice.

Probably was, it did a lot of popping and snapping noises😬 no issues now.

This was a few years ago, but yes it came with the crank and sprocket. I was very impressed with what I got for the money.
Also it was a bit wider but I thought I would notice it but I really didn't.
I am hoping the air movement of the bicycle will help componsate🤨 So far it seems to run very cool.

Yes in the video I showed it . I think its like 3 sections, made from the handlebar steel.

I bought it off of E bay as a kit. In the description it should say if its chain or belt drive. I don't know about a conversion kit though.

I bought the bike used for $50. But it goes for around a hundred at Walmart. Then the motor kit was about $185 all in all not too bad
