“Located in Des Moines iowa” and I instantly looked for the slipknot poster💀
Yeah, I was heavily connected to the live music scene in Des Moines from the mid 80s until a few years ago. Was lucky enough to count Paul amongst one of my closest friends and he and Joey played guitar in our punk band the Have Nots. For a few years there Slipknot and it's members were a huge part of Safari Nite Club/Hairy Mary's were I put on a few 100 punk, ska and metal shows. The Poster you are referencing is in fact a platinum plaque that was given to me by the band for their Self Titled Release.
getting my eyebrow piercing done in like 3 days. i'm scared asf, cuz i absolutely hate needles and my pain toleration is low. this video calmed me down a bit, and it actually helped. thanks for the great advice!
Glad to hear the video helped. How did the piercing turn out?
@@BodyPiercingTattooing it didnt hurt at all, it was just a really weird feeling. pain rate 0/10. it didnt reject or anything and the piercing is completely fine!

Glad to help, good luck and let us know how it turns out.
Update?
@@jocyyy0 had to take them out for work but everyone loved them... Had them in for about 7 months. I got two piercings next to each other and they were a little harder to keep clean than one piercing. Once my employment stabilizes I'm going to put it back in!
got my eyebrow pierced just over a week ago and i love it so much! not painful at all, i barely know it’s there. so far hasn’t given me any trouble. hoping this piercing stays put!!
Congratulations on your new piercing and thank you for sharing your experience.
How is it going?
I have wanted this piercing for awhile and this video has finally made me do it. I'm getting mine done this weekend. Thank you for the great advice and videos!
I'm glad to hear that you found the video helpful, good luck and let us know how it turns out.
Update: my piercing looks amazing! I'm so happy with it. Mine was done with a clamp so I have a black eye for a few days, my piercer warned me this could happen and it's pretty normal. I wanted to add that, its no big deal to me but for some it could be

update?????
Can’t wait for the quarantine to be over, this video convinced me to get it!
Glad the video was helpful and good luck. Let us know how it turns out.
did you get it
@@loohser222 Yes! I haven't had any problems with it and I love it
My dad had an eyebrow ring many moons ago. when my younger sister was a baby, she ripped it right out of his skin and it tore through the skin. Needless to say, that was the end of that piercing 😂
LMAOOOO😭😭😂😂😂
Ouch, that's always a risk with babies and facial piercings.
I got mine pierced in December and everyone has told me it fits my face really well! I hadn't had a good saline spray at first but I started using a new one today and it's a day and night difference!
Yes the pre-mixed sterile saline makes a huge difference. Thank you for sharing your experience and for watching.
I listened to you before I got my daith. I listened to you before i got my belly. I listened to you when I got my nose.Damn right I'm gonna listen to you for my eyebrow😘
Glad to help and good luck with your piercing. Thank you for watching and let us know how it turns out.
Thank you for the video! I just got my brow piercing today and I absolutely love it! I fear it rejecting my body but I feel like my face anatomy can handle it. Thank you so much for this!
Congratulations on your new piercing. I'm glad the video was helpful and thank you for watching.
I was thinking about the slip knot poster it’s so cool I love them! I think I’m getting my eyebrow done soon!
That is a platinum plaque the band gave me. Good luck on the Eyebrow piercings and let us know how it turns out.
I cant wait to get mine done, I'm so excited, thank you for making such a cohesive and educational video.
You're welcome, good luck and let us know how it turns out.
I really want this piercing but I'm concerned about my lifestyle. I go to personal training twice a week (so, sweat) and I also have a skin care routine where I use a face cleanser and face cream. Would it be fine to still use these if I avoided the piercing?
Exercise should not cause any issues. With skin treatment, it depends on the product but you would want to avoid the piercing area.
Body Piercing & Tattooing update: i got it done! for the past 4 days my eyelid under the piercing has bruised pretty bad, and is now bright red. how long typically does bruising stay?
It should fade in a few days. If it doesn't see your piercer.
How did the skin care stuff go what’d you do
@@BodyPiercingTattooing i had this exact question too. Thanks for the response and thanks op for already have asked 😄
It's so interesting to come over a video from most of Slipknot's members piercer right now. I recently got my eyebrow piercing done after seeing pictures of Joey Jordison (rest in peace) with his when he was younger, and I figured it would look good on me since him and I share a lot of the same facial features and yup, it looks AWESOME!
Yes I pierced Joey's eyebrow. I want to say it was shortly after he joined my band the Have Nots. Congratulations on your new piercing and thank you for watching.
I am getting my eyebrow piercing in three days and I completely forgot that people can judge you based on it. I work as a Teaching Assistant at the University level and now I’m freaking out, hopefully I can make my case and they won’t ask me to remove it, I will definitely cry if that happens. I will update this letting you know haha, thanks for the info!
It's always best to discuss facial piercings with your employer beforehand or at the least check the employees handbook and what it says about dress code. Fingers crossed they don't have an issue, Goodluck and let us know how it turns out.
I got my eyebrows pierced last Friday :) so happy with them
Congratulations and here's hoping for an easy heal.

@@cathydoesdumstuff I barely felt it but my friend was chatting the whole way through so!

Everyone's pain tolerance is different x
Congratulations on your new Eyebrow Piercing!!! The aching will recede in a day or so then only contact and movement will cause discomfort. Thank you for sharing and watching.
ahaha the moment you said nursing school i was SO SAD bc im planning to be a nurse... i still wanna get an eyebrow piercing right now since i think ill have a while till med school and you just convinced meee😭😭
I would check with the teachers or some of the former students. Also, ask about your residency options and those hospitals' dress codes.
YOU ARE THE BEST !! You answered all the questions that I had, before I get mine pierced I’ll make sure to comeback again to this video thank you!!
Thank You! I'm glad you found the video so help and thank you for watching.
I have two eyebrow piercings on the same side and have been the easiest piercing to heal (maybe besides lobes) because you dont sleep on them, they heal fast, and its rare that u touch your brows. would recommend and are pretty painless
Thank you for sharing your experience and I have to agree they do tend to be an easy heal.
Utilizing this to make an informed decision as to whether or not to get this piercing. I also am not certain if I really want this or it is the product of boredom.
got both mine done yesterday! It barely even hurt at all! Second least painful piercing after the bridge :)
Thank you for sharing your experience and watching.
Is it normal for an eyebrow piercing to hurt very much? Because everyone told me it doesn't hurt that much, but I got my eyebrow pierced today and it felt like the needle was SET ON FIRE before they stuck it in and it also bled a lot. Btw, this video is what made me convince to do it 😊
Everyone has different experiences. Eyebrow piercings are among the least painful. However, a number of factors can make a piercing hurt more regardless including the skill of the piercer, the meth they used, a defective needle, they luck led out and hit a nerve or simply the piercee has more sensitivity in the area than others.
As far as healing, you may see more of a reaction to the trauma including bruising and swelling. However, as long as the pain subsides, you should be fine.
Thank you for sharing your experience and I'm glad you found the video helpful. Thanks for watching.
A piercing should not bleed a lot, and if it felt like burning, they might not have used lube or the jewelry they put in was too big for the needle gauge they used to actually pierce you.
I just got it today watched this video like 50 times before😂 to really understand everything that need to change in my life because i have 11 cats and they used to sleep with me but will have to be in their own bed for a couple of months, It didn’t hurt at all you feel like a little pinch and that’s all i love how it looks on me praying my body don’t reject this one because my body rejected most of my piercing and i hated it😩 but thank you for the video it was really helpful
Man that's is a lot more of dependents and I'm sure there will be a few nights of them being a little confused but they will survive and you will have a great piercing.
The key is avoiding contact, proper placement and isolating the piercing while healing. Curved barbell is your best choice. Good luck and let us know how it turns out.
im getting my eyebrow pierced soon and im so excited! thank you this video helped a lot
I'm glad the video was helpful, good luck with your piercing and let us know how it turns out.
OMG U PIERCED SOME OF THE SLIPKNOT MEMBERS. i mean u guys r both from iowa. lol, but thats awesome!
Yes but most of the piercings I did were long before they became famous. At that point they were friends, bandmates and drinking buddies. I was very blessed to call Paul one of my best friends.
My eyebrow piercing has so far been the easiest to heal, I have a few lobe piercings and a septum and the septum piercing hurt a bit for a few weeks and I had a good few issues with my lobes but my eyebrow piercing stopped hurting after a day and theres been zero issues in past week and a half ive had it (hence the 'so far') I also fainted face first in puke the other day and its somehow been fine so like so far this has been my best piercing experience
Congratulations!!! Yes, they can be an easy heal but don't let it fool you. They can act healed and then suddenly flair up. Thank you for sharing your experience and watching.
Thanks for the information. I've been thinking about getting an eyebrow piercing and now I know I want one!
You're welcome and I'm glad you found the video helpful. Good luck with your piercing and let us know how it turns out.
I've had an eyebrow piercing for around 5 months now and honestly, I'm planning to take it out soon. It constantly gets knocked by other people causing it to be never fully healed, and I'm always so conscious about it and gets in the way of my daily life. It's fun to have for a bit but now its just a pain in the ass.
We really don't understand how much parts of our body come in contact with others and the world around us until it's pierced. If you can't keep people away from it, it may not be the right piercing for you.
what about taking showers? should i avoid getting the shampoo i wash my hair with near the piercing ?
Shower normally. I suggest avoiding using loofahs. Make sure to also avoid wet hair from coming in contact with the piercing.
I love your video you have convinced me also. Lol u r great! Wish I was close to your shop. Ty for all the info. U rock!
You are so welcome. Good luck if you get the piercing and let us know how it turns out.
Hey! I recently found your channel and I'm really enjoying the informative content and the level of professionalism and humor you use in your videos. I have unfortunately had to cut ties with my previous piercer of over 10 years due to some behavior on his part, and I'm looking for another piercer. But that also means that if I have questions I'm kind of in the dark until I find a new reputable piercer with similar levels of experience.
Anyways, I've had a pair of horizontal eyebrow piercings for around 2 years now that have healed well and not migrated, at least from what I can tell. They have been pierced with 12 gauge surface bars I'm unsure of the length of the threaded post end and the wearable bar itself. Any recommendations or tips regarding horizontal eyebrows with surface bars? I see here that you mentioned the weight of the jewelry being a factor and because I'm at a fairly large gauge I was wondering what your input might be. Thanks for maybe reading this super long comment!
I wouldn't recommend removing the posts but I would try to figure out who the manufacturer is if you want to change the tops. Isolate them. Otherwise I do not have much more recommendations.
What about getting brows waxed, threaded or plucked. I always see these beautifully groomed brows with a piercing.
I wouldn't suggest waxing while the piercing is healing. After it heals it shouldn't be an issue if it is kept away from the piercing and the jewelry.
Body Piercing & Tattooing can we use those at home shavers and not use it to close to the eyebrow piercing ?
Basically during the healing you should avoid contact with the piercing. After it is healed be careful but otherwise it should not be an issue.
I was so nervous to get it done but I finally did it and I couldn’t be happier. It has been officially a week since I got it and I haven’t encountered any major problems.
Sometimes I forget I have it and I run my fingers over it, but nothing serious.
I know I need to get it downsized but after how many weeks would you recommend me changing it?
Also, I love your videos and I have been watching them since I got my tongue web pierced. You said you wouldn’t recommend them but I did anyways. Luckily for me, it healed well and my sister is a dental hygienist so she checks my gums and teeth frequently 🤣
If the bar is too long, 3-4 weeks. Otherwise wait until it's healed.
i’m getting my eyebrow pierced tomorrow !!
Good luck and let us know how it turns out.
Body Piercing & Tattooing omg it was fast and easy . it looks amazing so now i’m just focused on aftercare and the healing process !
Getting this piercing tomorrow! I’m so excited just nervous about my job , hope it won’t affect it!
How did it turn out?
Getting this tomorrow, but worried about it hurting when im sleeping since i sleep on my stomach
Usually even stomach sleeper sleep with their head turned. Try to pierce the side that usually has the least contact. Also it's easy to adjust pillow.
Awesome vídeo ! im gonna put mine next week. cheers from brazil
Thank you, I'm glad you found the video helpful. How was it?
I finally got my eyebrow piercing yesterday!!
Congratulations on your new piercing! Thank you for watching.
They are f****** cool and really say alot about your personality more than other piercings besides maybe a nose piercing on a man. I love mine
Yes they are.
Thanks for the video I am getting a eyebrow piercing in the next week and this def gave some info to consider
You're welcome and I'm glad you found the video helpful. Good luck and thank you for watching.
Quick question can any shower products hurt the piercing I just got it and would like to know
Usually they don't but it is best to limit contact, rinse well and avoid contact with wet hair.
I've done my eyebrow myself when I was younger I remember it bled all over the place and wouldn't stop bleeding for like 30 minutes, it didn't hurt at all though
They can bleed a bit but usually not for that long. My guess is that either the needle was thicker than the jewelry or you hit a blood vessel.
I got mine done last summer but had to take it out because I wasn’t careful but I’m getting it done again in fall because I want to go swimming and all that
Sorry to hear that, good luck in the fall and let us know how it turns out.
Thank you, this was really informative, man
You're welcome, glad it was helpful, and thank you for watching.
These are so helpful thank you so much, also haha took me forever to realize teh Slipknot post. (I love them lol)
Hi! I would love to do the piercing and I swear my parents allow me to do that. But first I have to go to Sardinia and surely I am gonna swim a lot!
It is always best to wait until after your vacation.
Loved the video man genuinely appreciate the insight. My hair is constantly in my face and I also recently dyed it. Would any of that be a problem?
I would avoid contact with the piercing especially when your hair is wet. If it is vegetable based dye it should be an issue but chemical based dyes may cause an issue. Whenever in doubt keep it away.
Mine is 2 months old but it's horizontal 🤔 it's amazing🔥. It was pierced for a 13mm curved bar for healing.
Thanks for sharing and watching.
do you still have it? I want to do it horizontal so bad, but I’m worried of faster rejection with it
@@ericathomas4103 sure do! Hurts a lot less now. I bumped and tugged it a few times but it hasn't budged.
This was so helpful!
I'm glad you found the video helpful and thank you for watching.
Lmao, this piercing affects my sleeping position so much 😂
Let me guess you pierced the side you sleep on.
Try squeezing the pillow to the side and sleeping with your brow hanging on the front of the pillow.
It was hard for me the first night. Now I can do it no issues
Usually there is an adaption to just about any piercing. Once you do, it becomes second nature.
Getting this piercing tomorrow... I already know I’ll be tempted to let the cat sleep with me like usual :( gotta resist lol
Resist!!! I've had at least 10 clients that had their Eyebrow torn or infected by cats while they were sleeping.
Body Piercing & Tattooing Oh lord that.... is something I don’t want.... resistance is key
Body Piercing & Tattooing -my cat lives in my room ( she has health problems) so do you think I should just change my pillow cases everyday?
Yes, keep them away at least until it is healed.
Yes or use a t-shirt for a pillow case. Make sure the cat doesn't sleep close to your face.
This is an old video, but I just got mine and I love it
Congratulation on your piercing and thank you for watching and commenting.
I think I might get mine done today and a nose ring as well!!
Edit: I got them done yesterday and I love them
If you do, good luck and let us know how it turns out. One pointer neither of these should be pierced with a ring. Eyebrow should be a curved barbell and the nostril should be a stud.
@@BodyPiercingTattooing this time for sure I'm getting them on Tuesday this coming week, and how so??
Both will heal easier without issues.
I had my eyebrow pierced two years ago by a professional piecer who had previously done many of my other piercings with no issues at all. But the eyebrow was a different story. It remained oozy and seemed to take forever to heal but I stuck with the aftercare for it and it finally got better. But then, just one year after, it started to migrate and I worried that it would migrate out so I abandoned it. But I really loved it. The piercing jewelry was surgical stainless steel. Do you think I'd have better success with titanium piercing jewelry?
With eyebrows it comes down more to the anatomy and how the piercing is placed. Titanium is slightly lighter which could help. Also if course it is more biocompatible than implant grade steel. Was the piercing done with a straight, curved barbell or a ring? I don't suggest not using a straight barbell but I have found that with some clients rings work better for the healing than curved barbells.
Thanks for replying! It was done with a curved barbell. I will keep all this in mind. Thanks again.
You're welcome and good luck with your future piercing.
Great video! Very informative!
Question: What kind of jewelry do you recommend for a horizontal eyebrow piercing?
Thank you in advance!
Courtney
I wish this video was around when I was 14. Could’ve saved me a lot of money and my mom a lot of stress of desperately looking for a place that was cool with piercing under 15 😂
The guy that pierced my eyebrow when I was 14 pierced at the end of my eyebrow rather than the middle of the tail of my eyebrow, so it looked weird right off the bat. Then of course I had the obstacle of school. Because of that, it took my piercing like 8 months to fully heal. I finally got tired of it when I was 20 and decided I didn’t want to keep up with it anymore or flip flop between taking it out for work and wearing it at home. I’m 24 now and I haven’t had anything in it since I was 20, but I don’t think it’s closed up at all 😂
Well, Im sorry you had a bad experience. Hopefully sharing yours will help someone else. Thank you for sharing and for watching.
@@BodyPiercingTattooing I wouldn’t call it a bad experience, more so an inconvenience lol. I think if I’d waited a little longer, I could’ve avoided most of the problems I faced. At the end of the day, it makes for a good cautionary tail for why people should at least do some research before deciding to get a piercing, especially 14 year olds lol
Yes it is. Thank you for watching and sharing your experience.
I just got my eyebrow piercing yesterday and the piercer gave me a titanium curved barbell with a stud in it and a curved spike one are titanium good for piercings
If it is implant grade Titanium, it is the most biocompatible metal on the market today.
I went out and took this piercing, when I came home I got thrown out of the house and wasn’t let in before I took it out. I now have a black eye and to read dots on my face. I payed so much for it, and all the money is gone. I still want to have it, but then I have to drop out from school apparently. Personally I think this experience was horrible. Like I just want to embrace myself, and look how ever I want to look. I’m a musician, so aren’t I supposed to look different?👀
I'm sorry to hear that you had this experience. It's one of the reasons that I'm a strong supporter of parental consent. This disappointing experience usually doesn't happen when you have their consent. It's often hard for parents to let them r child express themselves differently than they think they should. I personally know that my parents A Plan wasn't to have a tattooed and pierced punk rocker for a son. It took them years to completely accept it but eventually they did. I was 22 or 23 when they did.
@@BodyPiercingTattooing yeah it was dumb to just go do it, I’m gonna do it again but ask next time😅
There you go. Here's hoping they say, yes.
yesss thank you ,this video really helped and it convinced me even more to fully commit on getting an eyebrow piercing bc i am getting mine on monday, but the only question i have is that does it hurt when you get it done?
Thank you!
You are welcome and thank you for watching.
Im getting mine pierced tmr !
Good luck and let us know how it turns out.
gosh, loved your energy since 1st second. in my country, some guy told me that if piercing activity is done wrecklessly; it could cause blindness and other nerve-related problems when the area of nerves underneath the eyebrow was not taken into account while piercing. is it a myth or fact?
There is no nerve that will be negatively impacted by a Eyebrow piercing. As long as you avoid the center of the face where the piercing is not normally done.
@@BodyPiercingTattooing oh okay, thx
You didn’t talk about the risk of hitting any nerves. Is that because the risk is so low?
It is an extremely low risk that you would hit the nerve grouping the is in the center of the brow area. I have yet to come across a case where damage was caused by an eyebrow piercing.
What should a piercer use for a horizontal eyebrow piercing? A curved barbell or a surface bar?? I’m seeing different answers and i’m just wondering of your thoughts on it! The piercers who say a surface bar say that a curved barbell for a horizontal eyebrow piercing is outdated and is more likely to reject
First off, it is a high risk piercing that is prone to rejection. You should research any piercer that is willing to do the piercing and they should mention the risk from the start.
As far as the type of jewelry, it all comes down to you anatomy, the placement of the piercing and the way the piercing is done. In other words, there is no clear yes or no answer.
Personally, I would advise against the piercing but if you are committed to it, you should be prepared for the piercing to reject and leave you with a scar. In most cases a surface to surface bar will reduce and slow down the rejection. However, it comes more down to the skill of the piercer. So, research them heavily and ask for a consultation before committing to getting it done.
Ive had my eyebrow piercing for 3 days now, and Im worried it might reject because its just starting to swell. I accidently bumped it a few times, but I clean it and soak it 2-3 times a day.
Swelling is normal in the first week, especially if there has been trauma.
What are some reasons why a brow piercing might reject
The most common causes are the anatomy can't support the piercing, the jewelry is not curved or circular, improperly sized jewelry, the placement is wrong or your body just won't except the piercing.
Thanks for this video! I wax my eyebrows, how long of a waiting period should it be after the piercing before I wax? Should I leave the piercing in when waxing or remove it until the waxing is completed then place back in?
If the area is agitated or red, I would wait until it isn't. As far waxing it is best to wait until the piercing is healed. Try to find someone who has some experience with piercings and avoid the jewelry.
Should I also avoid making contact with my hair while it's healing?
Wet hair, yes. If you use a lot of hair products, you should limit contact.
Awesome video! I’ve just decided tonight to go ahead and get it done, I’ve wanted it as long as I can remember and my toddler is finally old enough to leave it alone! I do have bangs, is that OK or should I keep them trimmed above the entire piercing while it’s healing?
Loved the video
I recently got an eyebrow piercing. Injust want to know, how long it will take to completely heal. I want your exportese. Again, I love the video. 🙂❤
Two to three months is the average.
When you said Des Moines I thought oh slipknot then I saw the slipknot poster behind you 😂
I'm an old friend of the band and it is a Platinum certification plaque for their self titled album. A gift from Paul.
@@BodyPiercingTattooing THAT IS SO COOL
Yes it is always been extremely proud of those guys.
I would love an eyebrow piercing and have been dreaming of it, but I work for a school district and am super worried about them making me take it out :/
It's always best to ask beforehand. Make sure to read your employee handbook first. Often it comes diwn to dress code.
Am thinking of getting an eyebrow piercing and this video showed me the pros and cons but I have a question My job requires me to wear a hard hat and safety glasses would this effect the healing process in anyway?
If either is in contact with the piercing, it could cause issues. If there is not contact with the brow you should be OK. I would suggest bring them along and have you're piercer mark the placement, try them on and make sure they aren't in contact with the piercing are. If there isn't contact, go for it, if they are talk with your piercer about options of adjusting the placement.
Body Piercing & Tattooing omg thank you so much really want that piercing now
Got my left eyebrow pierced today and absolutely love it, just a couple of quick questions, I was pierced with a curved barbell would you say this is ok/suitable jewelry for getting the eyebrow pierced with? Read somewhere on your website it's better to be pierced with a ring however my piercer stated they normally always pierce with curved barbells.
Also with regards to aftercare, I have a bottle of Neil med saline solution to use twice a day to remove crusties etc, I just forgot to ask since I have threaded jewelry aka screw on balls would I need to check these are on tight each time I clean them? I don't want to mess with my new piercing and cause any issues with it healing however don't want the balls coming loose and in the worst case falling off, I was told I needed to check the balls on my septum for tightness when doing aftercare.
Regards
Personally I feel they heal faster with rings and the jewelry doesn't need to be oversized. However, a curved barbell is suitable for healing. Unlike standard barbells.
Neilmed sterile saline spray is what I suggest. Twice daily and I prefer compresses instead of just spraying it on. Also do not use a qtip.
Yes, you should check the ends regularly. If it's internally threaded, a few times a week should be fine.
@@BodyPiercingTattooing thank you.
I will be sure to be careful when checking the ends not to move the piercing much as I am aware it's not good for surface piercings to be moved/knocked during the healing stage.
I was initially going to have my bridge done but I saw your video on that and although my piercer told me I had perfect anatomy for it I decided that the eyebrow was a safer and less risky option for not rejecting/migrating although I may possibly consider this in the future depending on how my eyebrow heals.
I’m an equestrian and I’m planning to be a biker. Would these helmets be a problem and clash with my piercing??
Usually there little or no contact between the piercing and the helmet.
i've found nobody mentions about people who wear makeup and want this piercing, how long do you suggest not to have anything around it?
Picture a coin size area and avoid it.
I'm kinda thinking of getting my eyebrow pierced and as you said about weddings... i'm getting married next year so i may just wait till then. :) I have a few piercings on my ears already and i take care of them and i like having them. :) I'm usually a side sleeper too. What you were saying was very informative. :)
Glad you found the video helpful. Congratulation on your upcoming wedding.
Yes waiting until afterwards and especially if you are going on a honeymoon, is the best option.
@@BodyPiercingTattooing Ok cool cool, thank you i'm all excited for it. I don't think there's going to be many pictures taken but just in case. :) I think i have the piercing buzz now. lol I think there may be a honey moon... but no swimming related. lol
@@catherineelizabethhallahan9446 Well, then I would suggest getting far enough before the wedding to be healed. With the honneymoon., it's more about enjoying yourself and not having to worry about taking care of a piercing the whole time.
@@BodyPiercingTattooing Well i guess you would want to look your best for the wedding photos.... But it will be in July next year anyway so maybe i could get one soon since its only September. But yeah that's true you do want to enjoy yourself on the day. :)
Where on America are you based?
Slipknot is my favorite band
They are old friends of mine.
Planning to get one after my septum heals my biggest fear is it rejecting and I have very predominant eyebrows and a decent amount of skin in that area so I hope it goes well and I can have it until I get tired of it.
An experienced piercer should be able to take a look at you anatomy and know if it is suitable. I personally have had more luck with piercing and healing with a ring. If you are going with a barbell make sure it is curved.
Super terrified that it will reject though it seems like a horror story
The thing is thst at the first sign of rejection, you need to remove the jewelry to reduce scarring. However if you have the right anatomy, it won't reject.
Getting it done next weeeeeeeeeeeeek
Did you get it done? How did it turn out?
@@BodyPiercingTattooing yep!! Its almost fully healed n i luv it
Probably the facial piercing I would love to have the most. However, getting a job is something I’m struggling with enough...
I have a question about this piercing, is this piercing permanent? I’m aware overtime it naturally rejects, but I’d only consider spending money on this piercing when I know I’m at a stage I can keep it in for longer periods of time.
It really depends on your anatomy. I've had mine for over 25 years. I think this piercing got a bad reputation because of improper jewelry and the brow not being pronounced enough. For example, Piercing with a straight 14g barbell.
didn’t explain why shouldn’t you take your piercing out when it isn’t healed. Can you please explain why?
Any time that you remove the jewelry, Your body will try to close the piercing. This is especially true in the first couple of years.
Thanks for the video, im hopefully going to get mine done when the lockdown is over. Also would wearing a motorcycle helmet effect the piercing at all as im not wanting to cause any issues if it does.
You're welcome and thank you for watching. As far as the helmet, it depends on whether or not the helmet has contact with the piercing.
I have heard a lot of rumors from a lot of people saying that you can get blinded from this piercing and it can make your eyebrow fall or the nerves of the eyebrow to not respond anymore cause it can hit some neeves are that rumors true or fake ??
If you had a massive infection and left it untreated, it would be possible but you would really have to put off treatment for a long time. The risk of causing nerve damage is extremely rare and I have never seen a case of this that is documented.
I've had it done 3 times. 1st time, got ripped out cause it was d ok ne wrong!!! So I got it done again on the opposite side (better). Then had my 1st kid, had to take out my piercings due to epidural. It closed!!! I went n got it done over the same hole!!! Cartilage!!!! Aahhh!!!!! Lol. I didn't want any any other scars on my face. But went well!!! I love it, n its one that I sometimes forget about... till I snag it on a loose towel!!! YIKES!!! Ur vid was awesome 👌
My phone is crazy n doesn't msg right. Sorry!!!!
If an eyebrow piercing gets infected can the infection spread to the eye?
It's possible but you would have to let the infection go some time without treatment.
Video convinced me to get one. I love it.
Glad you found the video helpful, and let us know how it turns out.
So, after it heals fully while the piercing is still there, and say I don’t like it, when it heals to the way it was previously will it leave scaring? no matter what?
When you pierce tissue it permanently changes the tissue. There will be some scarring but often it isn't that noticeable and will fade over time.
Im watching this video right before im getting my eyebrow pierced 😅
Good luck and let us know how it turns out.
@@BodyPiercingTattooing haha I got it dont didnt hurt that bad 😄
Congratulations on your new piercing. Thank you for sharing your experience and watching.
@@BodyPiercingTattooing haha ty very nice of you to reply to my comment
almost thought you was gonna say talk to your doctor
When it is infected, it may need medical attention and access to medication that a piercer isn't going to have.
@@BodyPiercingTattooing that’s true! i just thought it was funny because the tone in which you said it 🤣
This video is very helpful, thank you for all the informations!
I want to get a brow piercing but my hesitation is that i look forward to working on places where they most likely won’t accept it.
So my question is, after it is healed (hopefully3/4 months I guess), is it okay if I take it off daily, until I finish work? Or would that cause any damage?
Thanks in advance! :)
Removing the jewelry can always result in the piercing closing or causing damage to the piercing when you put the jewelry back in.
Why do I think the holes being there forever would actually look cool tho
There will always be some scar tissue. The longer the piercing is in, the more scar tissue. It will fade over time.
Are there any extra things to watch out for/concerns with a horizontal piercing just above the eyebrow (as opposed to passing through the eyebrow as such)? I'm thinking of getting a curved barbell in this way.
That is a surface to surface piercings and has a high rejection rate. You should find a piercer that specializes in surface to surface piercings and it should be done with a surface barbell not a curved barbell.
If you're prone to acne around the forehead/eyebrow area, should you avoid getting this piercing?
It shouldn't cause an issue.
Random question, why shoudn't you use soap with scents on piercings?
It's best not to. It is one of the reasons it is best to rinse the piercing area at the end of your shower. Most scent soap contain alcohol and other abrasive additives.
I keep getting a bubble on the bottom what can I do to help this an this time it looks bruised I'm pretty sure I had my alarm over my eyes when I was sleeping which may have created a bruise but I'm not sure. Please help
First off see your piercer. The bump could be a number of things and until you remove the cause it will keep coming back. Though sleeping on the piercing will cause a number of problems. So stopping that will make things better.
Important question... if I got it done with a 16g would you recommend going to 14g? I think 14 looks cooler but I want your professional opinion.
I really wouldn't suggest piercing at 14g. It could be a little on the heavy side and cause longer healing or other issues during the healing. After the piercing is well healed and seasoned, usually 6-8 months, it shouldn't be an issue to stretch from 16g to 14g.
I just recently got my brow done today (9/24). I have a pretty regular face washing regimen but now that I have an eyebrow piercing, how can I go about washing my whole face without causing issues? What sort of soap can I safely use in the area and on the piercing itself?
It really depends on the products you are using but I would suggest avoiding the piercing area until it is completely healed. Basically block off a dollar coin area and avoid it.
what are the chances of getting a black eye
Very slim. I can only remember one client who did and I'm still a little unsure if it was the piercing or if it was from being in the pit at a Slipknot show the night after getting pierced.
