    I’ve had mines for 4 months now and I love how it’s such a rare piercing. People are always surprised when and if they spot it while I talk, then ask to see it. I’ve had a regular tongue piercing about 4 years prior, I got bored of it so I took it out.
    My piercer was a professional and made sure I was comfortable. There was a decent amount of blood since she pierced both in one visit. She recommended me to use a non-alcoholic mouthwash to better soothe my Venom Piercing. I did not swell up too bad so I was able to talk okay. Eating and drinking was where I had issues but I just took it slow.
    The biggest problem with my Venom Piercing was this drooling stage I went through. So during the healing process, I would drool a lot while I was asleep. I am not sure if that part was normal but it bothered me so much because I’d have to change my pillowcases and wash them.
    Overall, I love the Venom Piercing and how masculine it looks. So far, I’ve never seen someone else with the Venom Piercing in person, except of course on any social media platform. It’s definitely a hidden jewel.. I’d recommend it to others.

    I got them, 6 years ago, migration was so small which is negligibly unnoticeable if I maneuver my tongue.
    A horrible con I'd say the sexual connotations it has and comments from strangers.
    I got them because I had snake bites and I like the novelty of having dual piercings, Snake and Venom , yada yada.
    Little did I know that everyone and their mom would ask how it affects my oral sex performance.

      You're one of the few that have a tolerance for this piercing. I thought people had gotten past the whole sexual connection between oral piercings and oral sex. I blame all those piercers and collectors in the 90s pushing the whole it makes you better thing. The reality is either you have the skills or you don't.

    I was strongly considering getting the snake eyes piercing, until I saw your video about. Lol. Decided on getting the Venom piercing, and got it done yesterday. My piercer was fantastic, and she made sure my blood vessels weren't going to be an issue before she pierced me. Did both yesterday, and it hurt a LOT more than I expected it to. Mainly the first one. I also bled a decent amount when they were done, but I think that's more due to my anatomy than anything else. Today doesn't feel great. Lol. But I'm glad I got them done.

    This piercing did not hurt that much to pierce, i.m.o it hurt less than my smiley if that gives you some reference. But the thing that makes this piercing so TERRIBLE was the healing. I could not eat and that caused me so much irritation, I considered taking it out 3 times. The food I could eat were the ones that required no chewing, aka oatmeal, macaroni, and other things I could swallow in small portions. I'm now in the adaptation period (5-6 days in) so I can eat normal things very carefully and slowly but it's very irritating still and I bite the piercings at least twice every time I eat which isn't the most comfortable.

    You should do a video on what products shouldn’t be used on piercings and go into the why’s. Maybe one on various piercing myths as well like the no dairy for tongue piercings and include the proof. Also I know it may not be your style, but if you ever run out of topics to make videos on, you could try piercing reaction videos and include detailed explanations of why something is wrong 🤷🏻‍♀️ keep up the good work!

    I got both done yesterday! And I’m excited to see how it all heals up. It didn’t hurt as much as I thought it would. If I had to rate the pain all other it would be 3-4/10, and the swelling is definitely a huge factor. Before they got to my other side tongue instantly started to swell, it doesn’t hurt it’s just uncomfortable. I’ve been taking ibuprofen since I got the piercing to help with the discomfort. I don’t know if that will effect the healing process of the piercing, but it definitely has been god sent in the mean time. I’m trying to keep talking at a minimum, because it gets really swore when I talk for a long time, and it increases my swelling.

    So glad yhu went over this one. My problem or concern comes with the con on anatomy. I have a tongue that has a short lingual frenulum and it's wide. I never knew for sure if I would be able to get it, because any piercer I asked just gave me "I mean yeah.. If done correctly." Which never really gave me a clear yes or no 🤦🏾😭

      To be completely honest with you, I know you’ll get people saying it’s not bad or whatever. But the actual needle going through it’s not extremely painful the second one might hurt more but the actual piercing doesn’t really hurt that bad. But bestie the healing THE HEALING is worse then going through three world wars. I struggled to eat soup and drink water it was that bad. The bad big lasts 3 days then on the 5th/4th day u can sorta eat again not well but kinda then a week after it’ll still be hard to eat because of the big bars and swelling, second week you should be fine. If u want it get it! I love mine

    I just stumbled across your channel looking for information on venom piercings specifically. I appreciate how accurate, thorough and informative your videos are.
    I have a sort of unique situation that I am curious about. I am a fairly healthy 29 year old female. On August 10th I had a total knee replacement due to rheumatoid arthritis. Since my knee can take up to a year or more to *fully* heal - when would it be safe for me to get this piercing? I see my surgeon mid January and I plan to ask him aswell, but I would love to hear your opinion too.
    ***EDIT*** This is all assuming I have the correct anatomy.
    I appreciate anyone who took the time to read this! THANK YOU

    • @BodyPiercingTattooing
      @BodyPiercingTattooing  3 года назад

      It's hard to say. Healing after a surgery like that and the complications that come with rheumatoid arthritis is not the same as a healing piercing. My sis has rheumatoid arthritis and I'm guessing that if you had a replacement this young it is aggressive. I really don't think it would cause issues with a healing piercing but I would need to do some research. Talking to your doctor is a good idea. Also I would discuss it with your piercer.
      I'm glad the video was helpful and thank you for watching.

    Just got mine done two days ago I got them bc I was told I couldn’t get a traditional tongue peircing do to being tongue tied. The lady that did it has never done a venom before but had done plenty of other tongue piercings. It swelled up immediately and like crazy. First piercing didn’t hurt second one was horrible and actually gave me an anxiety attack. The ball on the second one under the tongue keeps falling off, I struggle to eat anything, pain makes it difficult to eat simple things like pudding or cold things like water or ice cubes. My lisp is crazy I’ve gotten a lot of sexual comments on it. But overall regardless on how much it’s sucking to suck right now I actually like them.

    • @BodyPiercingTattooing
      @BodyPiercingTattooing  10 месяцев назад

      Usually I wouldn't advise having them pierced that far back. The key thing you want to look for is damage to the bones on the bottom of the mouth. Good luck and thank you for sharing your experience.

  • @CrystalMouse1
    @CrystalMouse1 3 года назад +5

    Dunno why but I think having my tongue pierced would be excruciatingly painful. I have some painful piercings and yet this one intimidates me a bit. I think it’s gorgeous and I’d love it but probably not for me. Plus my tongue is more rounded than it is wide and I wear dentures. Probably I’m not a good candidate anyway?

    • @BodyPiercingTattooing
      @BodyPiercingTattooing  3 года назад +2

      With tongue piercings usually the piercing isn't that painful but the aftermath is worst part. With venom piercings it doubles up the effect.
      If the jewelry is going to have contact with the dentures, it can cause issues or at the least clicking when you talk.

  • @lizannif

    Mine were actually done in a V shape because of my blood vessels (she told me afterwards lol). Having the 2 balls at one spot underneath my tongue really helps with the damage to my teeth. There is literally none, expect for the one time I was chewing and I bit down on a piercing and a piece of a tooth chipped off. You can bite on them faster because they are more to the side. Healing wass a bitch, never again :p

      Hello! My piercer said that he would have to pierce mine this way because of the same reason but that he wouldn't recommend it because it's apparently pretty uncomfortable in the mouth. Has this been the case for you? Do you find it uncomfortable/had any other complications because of the v shape? I'm asking because I litterally can't find anything about this topic online and I'd really like this piercing. Hope you see this🤞🤞

    • @BodyPiercingTattooing

    I had my venom piercing going on 5 days now and can say the pain does indeed suck lol. Eating is getting better for me though I'm still on soft foods and popsicles, ice cream, etc... The only thing worrying me is the slight cratering that is happening on my tongue but after going to two piercers and being told it can happen but will correct itself after the swelling goes down I am hopeful. That could be super helpful for baby body mod enthusiasts, especially when the only thing they know about a piercing is that it looks pretty. ive seen a lot of piercers say to not have dairy including my own say to not have dairy because of yeast getting in the tongue piercing and it could infect it i still had dairy and im fine but thats what ive seen piercers say

    • @BodyPiercingTattooing
      @BodyPiercingTattooing  4 года назад +9

      See there is no connection to yeast and infection. Plus yeast isn't really that wide spread in dairy. Yes, cheese and yogurt have bacteria that is used to make it. In all cases this is in fact probiotics that are key to a health digestive tract. In fact, it will replace many if the probiotics that are lost when using antiseptic mouthwash.
      Also, if this is the case you shouldn't eat bread, drink beer or root beer. All use yeast in their production. There is also wild yeasts in the air and on just about everything. You inhaul it and ingest it all the time and these are live yeast. Not the dead ones that you will find in dairy products. In fact, it is undesirable to have yeast in most dairy products because it would spread up the spoilage and cause odd flavors.
      I think the misunderstanding comes from two sources. The first being the complete misunderstanding of what causes a yeast infection or even what yeast infection is. The second is the anti-dairy movement that pretty much believe that all dairy is poison. Often it's tied in with the raw foods people that claim wheat and anything mildly altered is bad for your health.
      Understand that since piercing largely comes from the Underground and often attracts naturalist and health nuts, the same people that are telling you to use tea tree oil, and other natural remedies are the same people telling you to not eat dairy.

      It's best to have a consultation with an experienced piercer. What we look for is if there is room to place the piercing without have issues with the two large veins that are on each side of the tongue. Also the location of the tend and where it is anchored to the tongue.

      We usually pierce to the anatomy and it's hard to say without seeing the piercings first hand. In most cases the goal is to make sure the top holes match.
      When I hear things like this it's one thing if they tell you while during the consultation or while they are marking and a completely different thing when they say something like this only when you notice they didn't match.
