Instead of melting the plastic on the screw hole, my brother just hot glued a round washer with the same size hole right on top of the broken hole and put another one on the other side or bottom and glued that one with JB weld, was a lot easier then what i see here on this video
Thank You sir for the informative and educational video. I know this problem with the plastic body skins is a common one. Keep up the good videos. Have A Good Day! 🚙🚘🚗
Why do they make these bumpers so poorly? One bump into a car or anything and you have to replace the $400 bumper. Or we can put a bandaid on it for a while like this. Come on, auto industry!
If the bumper doesn't come apart, it will cost more to replace the entire bumper. The bumpers are the made that way so you just have to replace the clips and touch up the scratches
can anyone help me? I have a Toyota Yaris and my bumper completely came off. I need the screws that keep it in place. How do I know what screws are the right ones for my car?
Hi, great video, but you lost me when you clipped the last part? What type of clip did you use and how did you install it before you put the final screw in? Thanks in advance.
Each manufacturer use different body clips, so depends on the hole size you need to find the right clip. I have an assortment of 10 different clips that come in a packet and that's why I didn't show trying through everyone of them.
the hole for my screw was completely broken off. and the clips near it were broke. Hot glued them and I took a washer and hot glued the washer over where the screw goes into. It seems to be holding but let's see how long it lasts. Any other glues you recommend besides hot glue? The hot glue isn't going to melt in the hot sun of Texas, is it? ;)
Im not a specialist, and epoxy is propably the best for a job like that but I wouldnt miss my JB Weld anytime anywhere =) Broken radiator filler-neck? JB Weld! Broken handle? JB Weld! Noisy girlfriend? JB QuickWeld ;)
Hey if it works it works. I've seen all types of shit by professionals in a pinch, at least this isn't a shop doing this 😂. Props to him for using his R & R. 👍
You looking for a tutorial on how to put on plastic covers is questioning your street cred..😂. I sent this to a girl who needed visual instruction. She did infact fix her car.
@@DanielRuiz-qk1dc basically you take drill holes in a certain part of the bumper And then run the zip ties through to keep it in place. There's another video on it
Not even broken. Your such an expert
ayo bro? i bought a civic roughly same year just bumper was like this and cant wait to repair it thanks man!!!

I’m thinking you’ve done this before but yeah, on the same bumper I must say if it works, it works
Nope, just improvising on a friend's car.
I just put $3dll zip ties to it 😂 hold it pretty well 👍😁

In your case I would recommend epoxy. You can make the hole back with it.

When you brought out the hot glue gun, that killed all credibility.

Even plastic welding mix will eventually come off.
@@nop3noperson Not "looking" for anything. This stupid video just popped up in my feed. It was like watching a train wreck you can't turn away from!
Can you come fix mine
How much would it usually cost?
Did u ever find out
What’s the plastic part you were doing in the end ? It’s just part of the bumper ?
It’s the fender liner
@@xx6Dylan9xx thx
How much does that usually cost to get fixed? I know someone who’s bumper is exactly like this
A bumper replacement costs over 1000. A patch like this few hundred. Do it yourself next to nothing.
@@JJCentral-DIY yes thanks they just have a few latches missing from the bumper but still looks new.. isn’t leaning at all
gurrgrh baby!
I was quited 1400 for a bumper replacement. I just needed some to do a simple screwing back
haha "mate with the clips"
Zip ties can also work depending on how bad the bumper is out
How would a zip tie work in this situation?

Hot glue won't do any good its gonna melt.
You sound Indian and American at the same time
i have the exact same car color and all. The bumper clips on this car suck ass
Thanks!
Thank you so much. Hope the video was helpful.
