Will this work on an 07 Accord? The bumper is jutting out on the side. I'm not sure if screws will hold it in place, but other than that, there is no other damage to the bumper.
Hi Ed, do some analysis on the 07 accord. if the panel retainers don't work and if the mini zip ties don't work either. Another possible solution will be to use J-B weld if you have access to it ( www.jbweld.com/products ) .
Hi Dana & Trisha, if there are no options to use zip ties or panel retainers. I would investigate if j-b weld plastic epoxy would be sufficient to repair the broken bumper. If it's a small pop out it might work.

Hi .. you have a couple of options. Using Panel retainers & Panel clips or Zip ties. Perform some damage analysis and see what works best for the damage to your vehicle.
Hi Heather, if the tire and the bumper are rubbing are both parts getting damaged? yes, a fix like this will help solve your problem so that these two components don't rub each other and prevent further damage.
Hi Ian, use the same strategy (but apply it to the rear bumper of the vehicle), if clips are available then take that route else zip ties might be a better choice. Best of luck with repair ...
Hi Alexis, the bottom piece usually uses some kind of retainer (similar to panel retainers). if there is too much damage to the bottom piece you can try to use zip ties to see if you can attach it to some part of the frame. might be a bit challenging to get underneath though. You might need to lift the car, but have to be super careful and have the right tools. you don't want to end up squashed by the vehicle.
Hi Sotthea Phoeurng - great question -- just spoke with my local toyota delear and based on their feedback they might not be. The luxury edition (le) and Sport edition (se) come with different options. These options might cause the vehicle to have different bumper configuration.
Hi John, depends how severe the damage is. We drove(highway, freeways, road) my wife car with the damage for a few months without any problems and could have drove it longer. if the bumper is severely damaged(if it's dragging close to the floor), then I would repair before driving it. Just depends on the severity.

yup .. when parking over the concrete slab. if you park to close to the slab and bumper cover will rub and can potentially break some of those plastic clip/ratainers that hold the bumper cover to the fender liner.
Good but better to use zip ties or cable ties because the retainer didn't work well. I drill 4 holes in the under part and used zip ties(cable ties) to keep it together nor does everyone have a clip

My car's fender didn't exactly break off in this way. The hole where the screw goes into broke off. In theory all I have to do is screw it back in but that's gonna be difficult to do considering its from the inside. Its my first car. Do you recommend this method?
If the fender did not break away and it's not dangling or unaligned, then I would probably leave as is. If it keeps you awake at night not having the screw, and the support that it provides to the fender then I would consider some type of fix.
As long as you have evidence. I called my pool guy blaming him for the white Scratch marks on my black Camry (his truck was white and many times I saw him back up into my driveway). I later found out it was my wife who hit my car, she came clean a few days later. Called my pool guy and apologized... hence evidence is key, if you have it then they are liable. Check the fine print on the contract if there's one.
C'est fantastique, c'était le plan .. chaque voiture est différente et nécessite parfois une correction différente de ce que j'ai fait. Merci d'avoir regardé ..
OMG Lashaunda, wow completely off.. 1st step is to analyze damage to the bumper to determine if you can reattach it. There should be a few Major spots in the bumper where it attaches to the frame of the car. if those are not severely damage then you might be able to reattach it. If those spots are severely damage, then we need a Plan B, Plan B is to get creative and possibly use zip tie wraps to reattached it if possible. There are different size of tie wraps, consider using the larger ones to reattached at the major spots. I love a good challenge, this definitely fall into this category, wish can be there to help. let me know if you have any other questions and best of luck with your repair .. you can send me some picks.... email is "about" section in my channel.

Get any type of steel bracket from Home Depot and epoxy it into/onto the existing broken slot and use with existing clips instead of doing this. You are welcome.
@@estebancarrillo6103 You can get bracket of any size and thickness at Home Depot and trim it to fit inside the recess of the original tab is what i meant. The factory put hose holes where they are for a reason and adding more weak spots to flimsy material is never a good idea.
In many cases it's not that simple. And most of those retainers/clips are not re-useable, I've done a few bumper repairs which have required removing the bumper
True, not all cars are manufacture the same way and it's too challenging to repair the the way it was manufacture unless you spend ~$1K to replace the entire bumper. my fix is a hack that worked for my car, the key thing is to get creative and save $$$ but with a solid fix. So i been looking for a certain part very close to where your working on in this video. so more towards the top of the side of the bumper, when you push it back in (it clips into a part on both sides) to a part that is connected to the frame where the bumper clips into. If you know what i am talking about, what is that called??? and where can i get a new one? mine broke when a guy hit my car, bumper (new bumper on) stays on and doesnt wiggle but i do want to replace that specific piece
Hi ... are you possibly refering to the inner fender panel/Liner? if you are in the states or canada, you might be able to find a use one here : www.picknpull.com/locations
Hi nick, you can try to use panel retainers or use the mini zip ties. If you use the panel retainers when drilling the holes they should be smaller then the panel retainers so that the threads in the retainer can hold the bumper.
Hi Anna, was lucky enough that the clips stayed on, they came with the car.. but check your local auto parts store. If they don't have them, then check online before heading to dealer. Check the video description I put a couple of links there also.
Hi pa xiong, recommend to get creative if this fix does not work for your camry. I am not sure if the camry has the same configuration as the corolla, but they might or similar
Hi Kasey, take a look at the video description. There are a couple of links for auto parts stores if you are in the states. The zip tie wraps are also great candidates if you lost any of the clips.

Hi Ian, use the same strategy (but apply it to the rear bumper of the vehicle), if clips are available then take that route else zip ties might be a better choice. Best of luck with repair ...
What should I do about the bottom piece? It scraps on everything when I drive it’s so embarrassing lol
Dude! Awesome. Backed out over the curb and messed all this up. Thanks so much!
Glad it helped!
Hi , what is the part name or number that is between the fender liner and the bumper ?
Hi .. are you referring to the pannel retainers? or the pannel clips?
Hi sir. Can we switch camry le 2020 bumper to se bumper?
Hi Sotthea Phoeurng - great question -- just spoke with my local toyota delear and based on their feedback they might not be. The luxury edition (le) and Sport edition (se) come with different options. These options might cause the vehicle to have different bumper configuration.
@@estebancarrillo6103 luckily, I bought SE hybrid model today. Thanks though.
Mr. Carrillo, would car be safe to drive on highway before doing the repair? Thank you sir
Hi John, depends how severe the damage is. We drove(highway, freeways, road) my wife car with the damage for a few months without any problems and could have drove it longer. if the bumper is severely damaged(if it's dragging close to the floor), then I would repair before driving it. Just depends on the severity.
@@estebancarrillo6103 thank you so much for the reply. I’m a thousand miles from home and damaged my car. Thanks to you I know I can wait till I get home. Thank you so much for the video and reply. God bless you and yours
Does this happen when your fender liner comes apart?
yup .. when parking over the concrete slab. if you park to close to the slab and bumper cover will rub and can potentially break some of those plastic clip/ratainers that hold the bumper cover to the fender liner.
Good but better to use zip ties or cable ties because the retainer didn't work well. I drill 4 holes in the under part and used zip ties(cable ties) to keep it together nor does everyone have a clip
Great idea Randy P, that is my second recommendation in the description of the video, but thinking about it .. using the zip ties might be an easier solution .. thanks for watching and sharing your idea.
@@estebancarrillo6103 Yeah I have a 2017 Nissan Versa. I Realize now when i park, you can't let your front bumper touch the front curb or it while pop out the other side of your front bumper just a little...But either way it is still better than the way it was before with no support to it
What do you call on that black under cover plastic of the bumper?
Hi, it's the fender liner.
I live in a semi-rural area where not all roads are necessarily paved and terrain can be uneven. I drive a 2012 Subaru impreza ... You can only imagine what a disastrous combination this is lol...
lol OMG, Many of of the Subaru have the ground Effect kits. Does your have it? I hear you, I used to live in an area similar to yours. an air lift kit on the impreza might do the trick. www.rallysportdirect.com/scp/suspension/suspension-height-adjustment/air-suspension
@@estebancarrillo6103 Thank you so much! I never heard of this but I'll be sure to look into it.
Do you have new links for the panel retainer? the ones in the description no longer work
Hi .. thank you for pointing that out. I fixed the links. You can always do a search for "panel retainers at " .
@@estebancarrillo6103 Thanks! I just can't find the specific ones you use- in the yellow box with the clip on them. Do you happen to have a part number for those? Thank you!
Light installation people broke my brand new bumper, didn't realize it till later that night, are they liable to fix this?
As long as you have evidence. I called my pool guy blaming him for the white Scratch marks on my black Camry (his truck was white and many times I saw him back up into my driveway). I later found out it was my wife who hit my car, she came clean a few days later. Called my pool guy and apologized... hence evidence is key, if you have it then they are liable. Check the fine print on the contract if there's one.
Really useful for me as I own a 2009 Toyota Corolla
kool, only off by 1 year .. best of luck with your repair .. let me know if you have any questions ...
Voilà qui me donne une idée pour une future réparation. Merci.
C'est fantastique, c'était le plan .. chaque voiture est différente et nécessite parfois une correction différente de ce que j'ai fait. Merci d'avoir regardé ..
There needs to be a recall on these clips on every Toyota bumper because it just takes a little bit of pressure for them to break.
agee.. my next car will be from the 1970 or 1960 .. bumpers are100% metal, 0% plastic
Would this work an Elantra? Lmk asap plz
Hi ... yup use your creativity with the retainers or zip ties.
Always best to do what you can and avoid any and all shops, a body shop would have charged $1800
yup, paying $1.8k is a violation of my wallet ... DIY fix works for me. Take that $$ and invest it instead..
My own completely came of how to put back up please let me know asap
Bro I walk into walmart and park in the back as usual and i come back to my car and see the rear bumper was hit... the right side is popping out slightly, and my trunk is messed up now too. It looks somewhat like yours but just the rear and I have a chevy malibu 2012
Oh wow, Walmart should have some security cameras to catch the hit and run vehicle. Maybe time to file an insurance claim, but might need to cover the deductible, hope not.
bro I just wanna know if can find this accsesory?
hi ... look up "panel retainers clips" or "zip ties" online or your local hardware store.
Brilliant idea and crystal clear video
Great video. Helpful. Thank you

Get any type of steel bracket from Home Depot and epoxy it into/onto the existing broken slot and use with existing clips instead of doing this. You are welcome.
👍.. i wish my bumper was made out of steel, maybe i need to get a car from 1970's ... but great suggestion .. thanks for sharing ...
@@estebancarrillo6103 You can get bracket of any size and thickness at Home Depot and trim it to fit inside the recess of the original tab is what i meant. The factory put hose holes where they are for a reason and adding more weak spots to flimsy material is never a good idea.
@@estebancarrillo6103 nice diss lmao

Disculpe amigo que marca y modelo es el carro suyo
Hola Martin, es 2010 Toyota Corolla
@@estebancarrillo6103 muchas gracias amigo sq el mio también es toyota corolla pero 2012
Thanks for watching and best wishes with your repairs.
Thanks friend I'm going to have to try this my bumper is being held together by bungee cords right now
Force Ghosting or just get some automotive tape
wow, a bungee cord .. the bumper must be severely torn? what ever gets you the fix that you need at the most economical fix, so you can save $$$$$ and spend it in Las Vegas (just kidding).
you're the man stan
Thanks for watching Amer.
No doubt man, keep being creative!
Excellent video. Thanks…
Many thanks!
How do u fix the bumper if there are no clips left
Hi nick, you can try to use panel retainers or use the mini zip ties. If you use the panel retainers when drilling the holes they should be smaller then the panel retainers so that the threads in the retainer can hold the bumper.
Nice explanation 👌
Very informative and creative! thank you!
Thank you very much .. just trying to save a $(buck)....

Where can you buy the retainers and clips if those fell off?
I put a Link in the description.
Good idea bro and i like the way you fix it.
Where do you get the clips?
Hi Anna, was lucky enough that the clips stayed on, they came with the car.. but check your local auto parts store. If they don't have them, then check online before heading to dealer. Check the video description I put a couple of links there also.
Great video!! Thank you!!
Simple, easy and fits my budget perfectly.
Good job @Esteban Carrillo

are trim panel retainers universal?
Hi Mike, yes they are. Zip ties would be good candidate also.
thanks! Very helpful
what material is your pumper plastic ?
Hi, yup it's plastic.
Love it! Thanks for posting!
Thanks
Really helpful!!
thank you for putting up the link man...keep it up.

Is this the same for a 2012 camry hybrid too?
Hi pa xiong, recommend to get creative if this fix does not work for your camry. I am not sure if the camry has the same configuration as the corolla, but they might or similar
Where so i find the clip you used
Hi Kasey, take a look at the video description. There are a couple of links for auto parts stores if you are in the states. The zip tie wraps are also great candidates if you lost any of the clips.
But the metal clip used so attach the bumper to the wheel well that the plastic retainer went through. Thats not in your description. And i dont know what its called.
