I'm stunned also. What's wrong with this jury? Just like Casey Anthony. They just wanted to go home.
This poor Dad has every right to be BITTER!!! The system failed again!
He has every right to get back to work and make sure he does his job
He supports Biden. How can you feel bad for a person like that?
So heartbreaking. I am so sorry.
Exactly 💯
I feel for him. The jury did let the families down. It is also sending a message that it will give the next person who tries this can avoid the death penalty & that is so wrong.
The jury did not let anyone down the jury followed the law
Isn't the judge allowed to disregard the verdict?
IN FL the Judge can disregard a death sentence recommended by a jury and change it to LWOP. He/she cannot change the sentence in the other direction.
Death penalty isn't justice. May God heals your hearts ❤🥹😔
Exactly. Let him suffer in prison. Not take the easy way out
People say life in prison is worse. There is this one women Pam Smart that got life in prison for being the mastermind behind her husband's murder. She has now been in prison for 32 years and she said in an interview that she wishes she got the death penalty.
yea he's right
an anti death penalty
person lie to get on the jury
Oh they'll isolate him. Other prisoners can't get to him. Unfortunately
Exactly 💯
More tax 💲💲💲 from us for the ✖tra protection.
I hope Andrew Pollack writes a book about this trial.
Can't wait for the movie. 😊
Fred Guttenberg. You are the reason why he will be in jail for the rest of his life.
Why the hell does a Jury of people who have never experienced a murder in their own families passing judgment for these families?????
The justice system is broken
because our court system involves using juries.
There's people that indefinitely disagree with the death penalty. They were never going to get a unanimous decision.
But they are not meant to say that they are ok with it when chosen for a death penalty trial. They are mad because that juror had to say they were capable of giving it if the circumstances called for it, and they were unanimous in saying it had been proven that the circumstances call for it.
Enough ppl killed, enough families hurt. Stop the killing and put the young killer in jail!
Mr. Guttenburg is absolutely right. Im glad these victims parents are speaking the truth- that juror should feel guilt and shame! It’s because of them and their disgusting pity for a MURDERER, Justice wasn’t served today. I also hope Justice is served in prison- second by second, until the end!!! This ludicrous verdict failed the victims, families and future victims and families!!!!
Justice would have had David Hogg and Emma Expelled. they caused the whole thing
Death means nothing sir, he would have sat on death row for 20 years .. why bother.
These parents were robbed!!
Maybe in this world but not in next.
Why tbh I rather have the death penalty if it was me, death is a mercy. Who wants to be in a small cell for the rest of ur life I don’t. This was a good decision
They should be robbed
I am so sorry.
reminds me of oj case and CASEY Anthony . out walking free. and I don't trust the legal system at all. this kid needs to never be let out of a cell. period.
We need to appreciate the fact that the society in Florida and elsewhere in the US is accepting death penalty less and less and this type of punishment is going to just disappear over time. If this trial had happened 20 years ago or even 10 years ago he would have gotten the death penalty most probably. Society is evolving, justice system is evolving, vast majority of developped countries don't have death penalty anyways. Terrorists from the Paris attack in 2015 (around 160 death) they only got life in prison because its a European country and they just don't do death penalty. Oslo Norway in 2011 Anderw Breviks killed 75 people and he didn't get death penalty because this sentence just doesn't exist over there. Do you really believe that homicides are rempant in those two European countries compared to the US because of the absence of death penalty? Thats exactly the opposite.
Life in prison is the WORST that can happen to criminals in the vast majority of civilized and safe countries all around the world include those which homicide rate is like 100 times lower than that of the US.
So lets just not all exaggerate and call what happened in this trial a misscariage of justice as if Nikolas Cruz had just been set free and was right now on his way to Disneyland.
That’s what I’m saying the death penalty is mercy. I would rather be dead then locked up in a cell my whole life. Plus is morally wrong to kill someone. Eye for a eye makes the world blind
@@billyjean8057 You wait until your child is murdered, then you might feel differently. Death penalty is ok for extreme cases. People like Cruz will never be worth anyone's time or money. He will be an attention seeking psychopath for the rest of his life. We put rabid animals down everyday. Let him die and let the families heal as best they can.
Yes, and society isn't evolving in a good way on this issue. The average person is stupid and thinks life in prison is harder to deal with than the death penalty because the average person thinks their feelings dictate truth. Death row inmates routinely try and get their sentences reduced to life in prison because waiting for an execution date that isn't disclosed is way worse than staying in prison for the rest of your life. Putting everyone in prison for every single crime is obviously a stupid idea, there should still be things that can get you the death penalty like what coward Cruz did.
Im so sorry, Mr Guttenberg and all the other families
It reminds me of O.J. when he got acquitted...........
I know a kid now planning but says he's kidding. Wonder how many he'll kill.
I don't believe in the death penalty. But i think life in prison good enough.
I think you're wrong
And that's what one juror believes. He/she was biased and knew they wouldn't give death. The judged should overrule verdict. Wrong verdict
why not keep Cruz with you
@@jeremysmith9694 the death penalty is wrong. Plus I would rather be dead then be in prison for life. I’m just saying u rather give this guy freedom off this world 😂 instead of rotting in jail going crazy being suck in a cell. Think u should thing what’s actually worse
@@billyjean8057 he doesn't deserve air. He doesn't deserve the life given to him, whether suffering in a cell or not. Living is a privilege that he lost. Every one of those family members wants him gone. And for good reason. I get what you're saying but he doesn't even deserve suffering in a cell.
Why people made he in prison for life tbh if I was giving the death penalty or life in prison give me death I rather be dead then be in prison for life sounds like torture being in a cell forever
There's people that indefinitely disagree with the death penalty. They were never going to get a unanimous decision.
@@buddy3852 I disagree with the dearth penalty as well. No moral person would take the life of someone else doesn’t matter what they do to deserve it if u take there life u r also a murder.
Write wonderful letters to his defense team now guidelines friendly now 😜🙄😏🤨😁
That doesn't make sense.
He would've been given a defense team regardless.
The defense is necessary to ensure they try everything they can so that there is no mistrial or retrial.
@@buddy3852 They didn't just do their job. They were psychopathic themselves in their contempt for the victims' families and even the judge.
Guttenberg has no right to wish harm on Nikolas. That's wrong
Guttenberg should be in Ukraine
I’ve commented before, so they may delete this, but we need to put this human tragedy of the Cruz event behind us. Here’s a new colloquialism for times we successfully get through our difficulty: “I cruzed through it!” or “I’m cruzing through it.” Put a period. Be all the good that you can be. Blessings to all.
"Us"? Did you have a loved one massacred at Stoneman?
Don't mention his name. He is "the shooter" and that is all. Anything else makes others want to do it too.
Blame it on Fred Guttenberg.
Thanks for the Laugh Fred needs to Move on and find a JOB.
Dont worry sir, once his "celebrity killer" status wears off in a decade or so, and hes considered less at risk of getting mauled immediately, his security will be laxed and his supermax schedule is bound to be altered. Thats when he gets life threatening injuries via fed up gaurds when he (absolutely will) attacks one again and or other inmates. A life sentence of shitty medical service, a guard bringing your meds late, and a myriad of horrifically painful injuries to wail about in an old suffering bitter age. Then *poof* he starts paying in the next life.
And is that really justice?
Guttenberger super annoying. Feel bad obviously, but he just doesn't know how to carry himself and just insults his way through life.
