secretagentman why the world? In my country we don't have mass shooting, shooting at schools, we are not afraid to walk through our streets, or go to school... We don't have this kind of problem, because it's very hard to get a permit to have ONE gun and we are hard to black markets because we care for our people, specially kids. Your daughter was so beautiful and I cannot tell you how sorry I am. 14 and so kind, compassionate and motivated. Devastated for you and your family. Look to the laws in other countries that have stopped this. Policies need to be put in to change so this never happens again.
This guy said what needed to be said. God bless him and his family. There was a lock down in my 2 childrens school 2 weeks ago because a guy with an ak was running from the police on foot by their school . Luckily they caught him. My heart goes out to Fred, I can't imagine. I know everyone says it my heart hurts for him and his family and prayers. There needs to be a change enough is enough!
Ask the politicians this simple question " will you sacrifice your guns for your children or your children for your guns?" Listen to the answer and vote accordingly come November then maybe children will be safe in school.

CLOCKS TICKING That’s now an obsolete NRA talking point, as cynical as “thoughts and prayers.” The only effective way to stop a mass shooter is to prevent an AR-15 getting into his hands. Reagan was shot by someone with only a .22 while surrounded by armed Secret Service and police. This phenomenon of regular mass shootings doesn’t occur in other countries that regulate the availability of military-style automatic and semi-automatic weapons.
I do give Rubio credit for showing up and facing the fire. But I don't agree with any of his counter points to gun control.

Fred Guttenberg, I am so sorry for your loss. You are so courageous! During your grief, you have shared with all of us your horrible experience, but also have the sense to be able to speak so eloquently about what needs to be done to not have this happen again. You have my deepest respect.
Gosh, it's amazing how poised, and together this Father was able to be throughout this interview and throughout. I was crying watching this. It seriously felt like he was able to keep his composure because his Daughter was shining through him the whole time giving him the strength he needs to continue to work towards the proper safety measures needed to get these laws corrected. My heart and mind is with their Family.
It is time Rubio is never elected again as Senator.

I am a grandma and I now live in fear of my grandchildren going to a school that could fail to keep students safe from these kind of sick evil individuals who are not going to be identified before they commit these senseless acts...... I am so sadden for all these families siblings grandparents and parents that will suffer such horrible loss for the rest of their lives... It is so heartbreaking to see so many innocent children being killed in their classrooms.. And it is absolutely outrageous and enfuriaring that government authorities are still not doing anything to stop this insanity... Yes, it has happened again. God have mercy on our children 🙏

People are talking all the time about bullying in schools, but sadly they aren't DOING anything effective about it.
Why isn't CNN, MSNBC, etc interviewing people who are well aware of the issues? Most mass shooting occurs BECAUSE OF BULLYING ISSUES!

Our law enforcement has no grounds to do anything until laws are passed allowing them to do something. It's not the fault of the police or even the FBI if laws don't change for the better. As a matter of fact, the laws have changed, been loosened, with recent legislation in 2017 to make it EASIER for the suspects and HARDER for the law enforcement. They can't enforce laws that DON'T exist.

We've not had a mass shooting since Port Arthur- 35 dead and 23 badly injured- at the time and for many years after, Australian's worst, and one of the World's worst mass shootings, perhaps THE worst. We stood up and banned these weapons. Thank goodness! But we don't have legalised bribes for our politicians. Nor lobby groups, etc... guess you guys just have to decide what is more important.

While you were telling your loved one how much you loved them Peter Wang was holding the door open for others to escape the gun shots.
While you were holding hands with your loved one Martin Duque was breathing for the last time.
While you were taking Valentine's Day pictures Nicholas Dworet was staining the classroom carpet red from blood.
While you were telling everyone of your friends happy Valentine's Day Alex Schachter collapsed on the floor and died.
While you were celabrating Valentine's Day Luke Hoyer was begging the shooter not to be shot and killed.
While your family all gathered around to celebrate love Scott Beigel was being shot and killed by making sure his classroom door was locked.

My friend was in this school and she faked to be sick but her parents got it that she was faking it and sent her to school and now she’s dead. And her mom and dad now live in guilt and they regret sending her to school that day.

Kid at 17 starts threatening to shoot up school. Has a very troubled background. Numerous calls go in to police, sheriff and FBI. Kid is ignored and allowed to continue. Nobody does anything! Didn't even baker act him or call him in to state registry. Which would have prevented a sick kid from buying a gun. There are laws. They aren't being upheld! If they had been upheld, this would not have happened! PERIOD!
