How Horse Stance Over 40 Strengthens Your Body (Plus Tip For Absolute Beginners)
The horse stance builds resilience in the hips and stretches the inner thigh muscles. It's great for building STRENGTH, ENDURANCE and STABILITY in your legs for all daily activities and sports.
It originates from martial arts. It is an isometric contraction and it’s not just for martial artists, but FOR EVERYONE who wants to develop powerful, primal movements.
Have you lost your ability to seamlessly change your eye level? Can you drop into an Asian Squat, shift into Seiza position (think of the sitting samurai) and then back up again? All without aches and pains? Lifting weights in the gym won’t get you there. But this will help you move again like when you were a kid climbing trees and cr...

    • @sendykafitover40
      @sendykafitover40 2 дня назад

      Just multiply your daily distance by your weigh in kilograms to find the calories burned for a 95 kg person, 4 kilometres of slow jogging means an expenditure of 380 calories (4x95). To lose 0.5 kg of fat you need to burn about 3500 kilocalories. So 4 kilometres of slow jogging every day will help you burn that first half kilogram after 10 days. Remember, you can break it up into little parts and do smaller runs that add up to 4 kilometres. For more, refer to Professor Tanaka's book Slow Jogging, Chapter 6 is about slow jogging and weight loss. He says for example that "For most of us, the waist is the most problematic area; that’s where vicious fat accumulates first and often to the greatest extent. Good news: With slow jogging, waist fat is easier to get rid of than you’d think. Looking at average changes in waistline and body weight, every pound lost with slow jogging results in almost one inch less around the waist." And of course you can't eat more. Hope this helps!

    Thanks!! I have had a morning routine that is an abbreviated version of both qigong & kundalini yoga moves with breathwork. I've been doing it for a decade & it's a game-changer that sets the tone for the entire day. I can do them when I travel, if I am not feeling well I just take them more slowly, I have never regretted NOT doing my morning stretches'. I really like some of these and will incorporate some of them in. Much love 💫
