I've practiced this for a while - grip strength will be the primary limiting factor but, this will improve. Something I now practice with the hang is looking left and right and, up and down. This provides noticeable loosening in my cervical spine which, for me, its very beneficial. Just my experience - consult your physician.
I love the cat! Hey, I've been doing these for a while, once or twice a week. It's very challenging for such a simple movement. Kinda like the Horse Stance!
And Jumbo loves you back, because he loves everybody who will give him attention :D It is challenging, I agree. I can hang for about a minute but it makes me want to cry at the very end. :D
@@Chameleon20222 Well, thank you for commenting. It seems that if you're doing it form the seventies, it must be good. Yeah, bone on bone sounds not good. Even Dr Kersch says that this is not a panacea for everything that might be wrong with your shoulders. It's common sense, but it's alway useful to point out to people. That one fix cannot fix everything that could be possible wrong with out bodies, they are such a complicated thing.
I am only an anthropologist, not a health specialist. Dr Kirsch in his book says that it is not a panacea for all shoulder problems. Don't know if your falls under that category or not. I'd hate to guess. Check out his book or get in touch with the Kirsch Institute. Maybe there are people out there with the same condition who tried it and can share their experiences. With a specific condition like that it's good to talk to your doctor about it. Sorry that I can't be of more help.
It was painful in any movement that involved raising my arms, especially the right one, overhead - that included swimming classic/free style. I'm happy to report that it is gone for good. I am still hanging almost every day since making that video.

We are created in the image of God. My cousin is not a monkey. I’m a son of God by Jesus Christ. That being said, I’ll hang around a little while longer for my shoulders. There’s a lot of similarities, but there’s actually more similarities between humans and pigs. If we evolved from monkeys, why are there still monkeys get you self a copy of the kingJames Bible, and read it. May the Lord have grace upon you

@@carlvanbeek8238 Glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for watching. :D
I use weightlifting straps and wrap it around the bar. I’m a weightlifter and my fingers and hands will hang on quite a long time.

What was wrong with your shoulder in the first place?

This is probably a good way to avoid becoming shorter as you age?
@@seagypsiesbellydancers3047 I would imagine so.
Cab you share the study?

You and currently existing apes are cousins. You and currently existing monkeys are second and third cousins. We have common ancestors. : )
What a load of BS.
