Hello. What type of controller do yo have?

@@trevilights I just received it. It's a Falcon16V5. Did not plug yet but I try to understand the all process before. It will drive at least 6000 pixels; 4000 pixels for my 16' tree and the rest will be spead on some usual props.

@@stephanlemaire I do not own a 16V5 but does blue +sign will or will not be there depending on the setting you choose. Like if you are only using 16 Local ports or 16 Local + 2 Smart Receivers. Once you are ready to try, take a look at your settings and I am more happy to help you out. You can book some of my time in my website trevilights.com and we can do a Zoom to review your setting. Hi there. You can set your Falcon to player mode and run you sequences for an SD on the controller. You will need an Audio Board to play the music. Make sure you get one. I made a video on this. Using the F16V4 in Player Mode ruclips.net/video/kndYGok8YCw/видео.html

Hi There. The Max pixels will vary depending on which controller you have and the expansion boards or which smart receviers you use. See link below. And yes, you can use more controllers to your show as required. in xlights, you will need to add those controllers and make sure you tell xlight which lights are connected to each controller. @@stephanlemaire There is also the new F16V5. Might be a good idea to take a look at. Glad to help. Make sure to start early on the year, like now. It takes a lot of time and testing to get things setup. Best of luck. There is also the Kulp controllers, which are also very good devices. I've been using Kulp for the last couple of years.

This is a setting in the FPP running on a Raspberry Pi or Beaglebone, not in F16V5.

Now, this video applies for F16v3, were the WiFi is not enabled. For a F16v5 these settings do not applies since you can get to it wirelessly.

@@codecage9333 In the Status/Control Menu, select "FPP Settings", then click on the "UI" Page. You will see and option called "User Interface", set it to "Advanced". Now, go back to your network settings and scroll down. You should now see it. This option is hidden if you are not in "Advanced" mode. Good Luck.

BTW. If you use the Visualizer in xlights, you do not need to do this, Since when you upload the configuration from xlights to you controller, it will take of this.

Hi There, I am gald you are starting to work on your sequence at this time of the year. As you probably figure it out, it takes time to create a sequence. I am not aware that there is an option to automatically open the last sequence you were working on. I will look around and will let you know.

@@pablomeza2894 Que bueno. Con el K32 puedes usar hasta 4 diferentes fuentes de poder. Puedes tener pixeles en 5v y en 12v, en gurpos de 8 puertos c/u.

Hola Pablo, Gracias por tu mensaje. Basicamente el Beaglebone tiene el software necesario para controlar el Kulp y tambien tu show. En el BB tienes la musica, la sequencias y el calendario. Tambien te permite controlar muchas otras cosas. Otros controladores de pixeles como el Falcon F16V5 tiene un software integrado muy basico, y es recomendable usar otro dispositivo como el BB or el Raspbery PI para hacerlo mas profesional. El BB se instala un software llamado "Falcon Player" o FPP que te da toda esta funcionalidad extra. Si compras un K8-b o otros los otros contraladores de Kulp, si en necesario comprar el BB. Hola. El Falcon, como la mayoria de los controladores trabajan con ambos voltajes. Algunos son autoregulables y otros tienen un pequeño switch seleccionador. Lo importante aqui es que decidas que voltaje vas a utilizar para tus pixeles, te recomiendo los de 12v. Son un poco mas caros pero es no es necesario inyectar enegia en tantos puntos como los de 5v. Hi There. If your phone is connected to the same wifi as the Raspberry PI, then you should be able to open the FPP on your phone. This will allow you to start/stop a sequence and control your show. Now, this is a old video. The new controllers such as the Falcon Player F16V4 and V5 now have the wireless enabled, so all the configuration you see in this video is pretty much obsolete as they are better ways of doing this. The concept is still the same, but some things have change.

Hi There. Thanks for your kind word. For timming "t" mark, make sure you have the timming radio button (leftmost, next to the timing track name) selected. Then click on the wavelenght and press the 't' key. If that does not work, then goto File, Key Bindings and seach for a line named "TIMING_ADD" and make sure the key selected is a 't'. Otherwise, click over the "TIMING_ADD" line and you should see an option to enter the key you want to press to activate it. Here, in this menu, you can see all things you can do when you press certain key. Now, about the "in excess" words, I just tired a senteced like "I love you in excess" and it was able to brake it down and created the phonemes for it. Make sure your spelling is correct.

@@trevilights You know spell check is a wonderful thing. However, the phrase in Christmas carols is Gloria in excelsis. Excelsis is the word that the dictionary cannot find.

Your best option is try to find a word that sounds like it, may not be exactly but good enough. People may not even notice it.

HI there. If you timing track has two timings then all you have to do is select the desired voice from the timing track dropdown. See minute 5:40

@@trevilights The song that I’m sequencing has two vocals going at the same time. So, I have to import the lyric track twice and delete the vocal I don’t want the male/female to sing and it seemed to work that way. Unless I’m missing something.

@@zski1 The example I gave you is used if you get a file from someone else. For example, if you buy one of my timing tracks from my website trevilights.com, you will imported this way. If you are doing a new song yourself, then you need to do every single word yourself, like in the video below. There are other methods that other people uses to speed up the process, but I do not use them. Try this... In the File menu, select Preferences, Effect Grid Tab and make sure the option "Double Click Mode" is set to "Edit Text", click OK to Save.

Hi. Not this model. It doesn’t have a DMX OUT port. You are better off getting a larger model or one of the more expensive ones that have a DMX IN and DMX OUT port to daisy chain them.

@@trevilightsNot totally clear on this! What I saw was about converting RUclips videos to mp3 files, not where to get the sound track itself. Does this mean I watch a video that contains the tunes I want then convert those to mp3 file? I guess I would have to then edit the mp3 file to extract just the tunes I want to use.

@@codecage9333 This tool take only the audio of a video and saves it to you local computer as an MP3 No need to edit anything.

@@codecage9333 Oh yes, It’s actually called virtual string. Is a way of braking down a string of lights that are connected to a single port into smaller ones. This is only for visual purposes. Imagine that you have 5 snowflake of 100 pixels each You can either enter a total of 500 pixels on that one port, or divide them into 5 virtual strings of 100 pixels each. The controller does not care the shape or what kind of elements you have connected, all it cares is for the total count. Xlights is the one that needs to know where in that string of lights each element starts, in order to send the correct data to it. Do not worry to much about this section. It’s plug and play, but once installed you need to go into the FPP Settings, Audio and set the Audio Output device to be USB. Thanks for watching.

Hey John, Thanks for watching. It is a very rewarding hobby. It comes with a price but the outcome looks awesome. Everyone pretty much use the Mean Well Power supply. I have a few and have been working for 5 seasons with no issues. How many pixels can you power from one 12v 29A power supply? It depends on the brightness you choose. I do 35% and I can easily power round 4000 pixels. I you are going to go for it, I do recommend you start early in the year, so you have enough time to test and experiment. Hola, Es muy dificil saber que pueda estar mal por medio de mensajes. Te recomiendo que vayas a mi sitio y separes 30 minutos pare revisar toda tu configuracion. Hariamos una video conferencia. Visita trevilights.com. Podrias emepezar por asegurarte que tengas el numero de pixeles definidos en la seccion the pixeles en el puerto. Pon el controlador en modo 'Prueba', esto encedera todos los pixeles que tengas conectados pare verificar que todo este bien. Suerte.
