    Quick tip for you:
    Instead of adding multiple icicle modes for each section, you can use a poly-line model.
    Poly-line model icicles are great because it can bend around the roof.
    Just set a poly-line and drop pattern, it automatically turns to icicles.

    Hello sir. You have taught this newbie a lot in such a short period of time! I have a question. How did you attach your snowflakes to the outside of your home. I am going to do the same thing. Thanks again for your time.

      Hi Steve. Thanks for watching my videos and for posting. I went with the safest way since it gets pretty windy in December where I live. My house has bricks, so what I did was to drill hole in the cement joint and use a plastic anchor with some deck metal screws to attach the snowflake. The screw will to though the coroplast and into the anchor. Since the snowflake has the pixels installed, the screws should be long enough to accommodate them. Place the screw close to the center of the snowflake. Make sure that you place the snowflakes in the same position as you have them on your layout, otherwise the effect will not look good. Hope this helps.

      @@trevilights Very good idea! I have a roof line that is at an angle that has been hard to get to. The fascia is made out of wood, would it be the same process?

    Hello Trevi. I notice when I put a screw in the hole, it doesn’t go flush in the washer and sticks out a little. If I screw it in, will the screw go flush?

      You will need to the magnets against the washer. Or maybe get some smaller screws.

    I believe the PVC channel link that you have on this page incorrect the one I picked up that is the same as your link is very small but a half inch in size there’s no room to drill holes in the channel, am I correct that this is the incorrect track to be using?

      @@trevilights I have another question, I received my lights and there connectors don't match up to my x-conect. Did you have the same issue?

    • @trevilights
      @trevilights  2 года назад

      @@johnkoester6534 Hey John. These are the first lights that I buy that come with pigtails/connectors. I've always bought pixels in bulk with the standard JSP connector which I then replace with my own pigtails. Your can still connect these icicles together but will probably need to replace the first x-connect(input signal) plug with the one that matches yours. I am also building some extensions to reach all the way up to the roof line and inject power. These icicles do not come with a set of extra wires for power injection, so you and I will have to cut the wires and identify the positive and negative. If you look closely at the back of the first pixel you can identify which is the positive. I know is extra work but these where the best option in US, unless you want to order from china and pay as lot of money for shipping and knowing that you cannot easily return them.

      I may be a little late, is this a reliable vendor and what is the shipping timeframe for orders? I’m looking to add icicles to my display and didn’t want to buy the whole kit to use regular pixels. I like this style.

      Yes, these LEDs are dependable. I've had them now for my second show and they are working fine. I had actually bought an initial batch, and then I bought additional, I actually run them all year around on my outside patio and then take them down and pop them up for Christmas. They have been working fine with no issues. @@Mr_Brown660
