Yes, I have many projects, not just one boat 😎 This catamaran is my newest boat, bought it second hand, completely assembled. The carbon Mini Mono I will soon continue on the channel! ✌️

The higher the C-rating, the more current (Amp) the pack can deliver. RC speedboats take a lot of current, so I recommend the highest C-rating available. 4S with the 3450kV motor will be uncontrollably fast, and your motor will run hot. I don't recommend it. I will try it, and the Mini Mono might reach 100km/h. But honestly, running laps at 60-70km/h is actually more fun with this boat, because it corners so well! The carbon mono is nice, but the wooden mono will basically perform the same, is my guess 😎

Thank you, Mike! I use ca glue for the frames, and 2k epoxy resin for the plating, and sealing the wood.

The bottom design of the hull is almost the same as my Wildthing. That boat ran 120+ km/h with a single motor setup. Rocket 4074 2000kV, Flycolor 150A, and CNHL 5200mAh 90C 6S lipo 👍. Thanks Dim! Yes, this is a great pond, and very close to my house as well. It has 2 drawbacks though: many fishermen, and it has a lot of poles in the water 😬 (not where I ran it this time). This cat has very little deadrise. Maybe 2 or 3 degrees only. That's why it drifts in the corners. I will show that in the next video 😎

yes indeed the rudder is made extra long for stability reasons, i also made small changes to the rear of the bottem (hightend the step some mm)

@@risqivelatian9481 thank you! The mold is made from XPS hard foam, laminated with glass weave and epoxy. The cockpit is made on top of the mold (positive molding). It's made from 4 layers of 80gr/m² glass weave and laminating epoxy.

Dank je. Ik heb wel eens de timing veranderd, maar daar liep de motor heter mee. Ik laat het eigenlijk altijd standaard. Je kan meer halen met een goed gebouwde en afgestelde romp, denk ik 😎

@@CozyRC ik heb een esc flier 400v 20a maar ik wil Max 3 ampere gebruiken ik heb een 12pole 3 fase motor Y winding.. mijn doel is meer volt gebruiken dan ampère ik wil alleen mijn frequentie pwm aanpassen

Daar kan ik je helaas niet verder mee helpen, want daar heb ik te weinig kennis van. Succes met je project 👍

Hoi Julian, ik raad de 2948 3450kV aan. Dat staat er trouwens ook bij in de parts list 😉 Leuk dat je er ook één gaat bouwen!

This is a cavitation plate actually. It's often used on F1 Tunnels, and RC outboard units in general. The prop runs 50% above the water, so preventing ventilation is not what you want 😀. Sharpening the leading edge of the outboard leg increased the top speed by 4km/h, so in this case, the modification was effective. Thanks for your inputs, I'm always open to learn and consider other's options 👍

Thanks for the positive comment! The hull is made from carbon fiber, but fiberglass would be the same technique. Self righting I didn't really consider. This hull is actually very stable. I didn't flip it myself yet (however, my sons can flip it within 10 seconds 😅). I might try one with a flood chamber lateron. But I currently have too many projects 😅
