- I got myself a new boat! In this video, I introduce my Dr. Psycho Psychovat V1. I explain the boat spec, the setup, and I prepare the boat for the first run. Finally, I put it in the water and let it rip!

Thanks, yes these small boats are a blast, and easier to run on smaller ponds. Although this Psychocat still needs some space to really get to full song 😎

Great boat Jan, nice rides and actually very beautiful pond👌. I am wondering about the deadrise angle. The actual running surface of the sponsors seems quite flat.
Thanks Dim! Yes, this is a great pond, and very close to my house as well. It has 2 drawbacks though: many fishermen, and it has a lot of poles in the water 😬 (not where I ran it this time).
This cat has very little deadrise. Maybe 2 or 3 degrees only. That's why it drifts in the corners. I will show that in the next video 😎
It looks like every is off size wise with it, looks funny. Also very long rudderarm etc. Should think its setup this way for a good reason...
Its definitely a 100+ boat.
@@peteroosterhoff8850 I think so, too. But I will treat it carefully. It's an old and rare hull, and I don't want to destroy it 🙈
yes indeed the rudder is made extra long for stability reasons, i also made small changes to the rear of the bottem (hightend the step some mm)
@@olieboll3675 Nice to know you raised the last step. It looks like the front steps have an extra ride pad / flat plate attached to them as well.

I make the rudder set up by myself but use a bought rudder. There are 2 bolts with to hold this rudder. Should i remove one to make the "kick back" rudder or should i do something else?
I recommend to make it, like I show in my video of today (August 16th): steel bolt on top, and plastic bolt below the steel bolt. The rudder will break the plastic bolt, and kick up, if you hit something. 👍
