I just finished my catamaran hatch. I made one with 2 layers of carbon Fiber and crash broke it. I just made a 2nd version with 3 layers of Carbon & 2 layers of chopped strand glass mat. Its very strong now! But i like your Gps window!

Looks great, Cozy! Awesome video! Gives me confidence that if I ever lose or break a hatch on an older boat where spares are no longer available, I can watch this video and try to make my own ..probably not as good as yours, but I will try 😄👍

Great inspiration as usual :D Mr Cozy I have an announcement. My 3d printed hulls are turning carbon fiber/kevlar. Same shape, same scales. Just broke my 1/5 scale on the first water trial. I'm gutted! So I'm now printing large-scale molds for carbon laying. I let you know how it goes. Cheers

Ah, too bad to hear that José! But you're on the right track, making molds with your 3D printing skills, and then make a real strong hull 👍 Keep me updated!

@CozyRC Well for small stuff sure PLA is still the way to go. But I was really mental with weight savings. A 1/5 Hull 1200mm long 1.35kgs after epoxied. Well in places was paper thin. The 5692 motor is heavy and pulls quite a bit of torque.

    What foam is that?

It's XPS insulation foam. It's used for home insulation over here. It comes in blue color too. It's a nice dense foam, very easy to form.
