As you are surly aware - horse language is all body language- my experience is the mare is a bit controlling of the foal when they are newborn to a few weeks and doesn’t want the foal running around for obvious reasons- just as the mare is typically very cautious of who approaches her foal as what approaches the foal - and I can definitely see all this in this video- however both are cute beyond words - congratulations 🎉

Try spme bran mash. You can give it warm ( by using warm water). It will give her some water, but not too much. You can try it. Its any sort of way water to get info her.

Wow! She looks wonderful! I've been an Arabian enthusiast and owner for more than 60 years and she is truly a lovely horse. Her head is what Arabian people would call classic.. It's so nice that she now has other horses around her and hopefully will be able to be turned out with them. Thank you for taking such good care of her.

They’re all related to Secretariat or Northern Dancer. Those stallions were bred all over the place. it’s doesn’t mean much

One of my college profs saved a white Arabian gelding from slaughter. He was a good teacher. Her husband saved an appaloosa/draft colt from the Amish who were going to put him down for his spots. He was taught to drive a cart.

I just bought a 21-year old retired Thoroughbred two days ago for $400 (probably cost of feed) for light riding and giving the handsome boy a forever home. His owner passed away and his wife needed a place for him to go other than auction. The man I bought him from just loves animals and took him in until he could find a home for him. I’ve got a little farm / sanctuary where we love on all of our animals. This video got me so excited to learn more about him. He arrives in four days. Thank you for posting it.

"It was the 90's and I don't even know if they videoed things then..." SMH... Child! We invented videoing! We just didn't do it with a phone, we had these things called video cameras. They came in many sizes. Some of us had smaller ones called camcorders and most of us were better at videoing on those than some of you young'uns.

It is interesting that "grays" seem to be genetically related to buckskins, duns and gruleas. Many times, especially with Arabs and Thoroughbreds with the gray gene that are born as other colors will eventually shed out to be gray. I had several quarter horse colds whose mother's were part thoroughbred who were born chestnut and dun who shed out to be gray.
