The way Whinny holds herself and moves her body, she had to have been a show horse in her younger years. I bet she was magnificent. She is still lovely now.
Wow! She's looking amazing! She's a nanny, and Willow probably resembles her mother. I can't wait to see her in a few months with more weight, muscle on her, and that topline filled out. And look at her trot! She's a mover!
Whinny looks amazing, not only her body condition but her spirit is so vastly improved! This video is a great way to start the day. Thanks for sharing.
You’re not anthropomorphizing - you are intuitively connecting with Whinny. The term ‘anthropomorphizing’ is a term dreamt up by ‘scientists’ who do unspeakable cruelty to animals so that they can deny, for instance, that an animal is experiencing pain, fear, etc. you are doing a wonderful job with Whinny & a great deal of that is your capacity to empathize, intuitively understand emotional state of Whinny - as she - & other animals do with our feelings.
Awesome that you have shown that senior horses don't need to be euthanized just because their teeth are so worn down they don't function properly anymore! Seniors can live HEALTHY and HAPPY lives with the proper care and nutrition! It takes more meals and soaked forage etc., but obviously it can be done and done well!!! Look at how far she has come, basically without teeth! You run a true rescue/ SANCTUARY!!!! She's so lucky she ended up in your hands! Larger rescues would have probably euthanized her because of the extra care she needed. You are amazing and awesome! Such kindness and devotion, you get a standing ovation!!!
Mares will often have another mare around for another pair of eyes like a nanny. This is wonderful for whinny and willow. She’s following willow around like a colt😊
There's something so touching about watching Whinny trot and lifting that fabulous Arabian tail behind her. You've worked miracles with her! It's just wonderful.
How fabulous to see her eating grass and enjoying being a horse with friends again. Shes clearly mentally recovering as well as physically. Well done all your hard work, love and care is doing wonder's ❤
I don't know much about horses. But I love to watch them. How they have a big heart and so caring with people. Thank you for what you do for the horses!
New subscriber here! The first video I saw was when you went to get Whinny. She was so poorly, but carried herself so regally. Mostly, I follow Colby's Crew...but when I saw Whinny, I was already a goner! What a gorgeous mare! Y'all are fantastic!
Whinny was once a very beautiful horse, with a beautiful Arabian head and thoroughbred cross conformation. You can tell she is proud and looks to be gaining some weight back. Thanks for sharing Whinny videos.
Happiness makes all the difference.....if shes happy and feels love she can get through anything. Im happy you have them. I love people that truly love their animals and wants whats best for them
Wow Winnie looks amazing and I love that she is being a horse again! Thank you for rescuing her. I agree with everyone here it is your love patience kindness and overall sense of trust that Winnie is doing so well. ❤❤
So happy to see this little family come together and Winnie finding her own happy place. Both those girls look so much better after coming to your farm. I'm still amazed her back as healed so much.. just beautiful ❤
OMG!!! This is such amazing evidence demonstrating that what happens to foals is what shapes their lives. I am betting Whinny was either force-weaned and/or taken from her mother so early that it stunted her natural development. You have captured scientific evidence. Thank you! Whinny can now heal ❤❤❤❤❤
What a beautiful changed life she has now. She’s got a horse family now too as well as her human family. So very happy for her. What a Blessing you all have been for her. Cudos for job well done 👏.
Isn’t it something how she was alone for so long she forgot who and what she is !!! But you guys being the hero’s that you are rescued her and put her back together inside and out ! So amazing !!! God didn’t make many living things to be alone !!! Just truly a miracle and so great to see !!! Whether I end up with her or not I’m just glad she’s happy and healthy now !!! Truly incredible!! Oh ps those little grass clumps means she can’t physically eat the grass she’s just trying right ? Will need her mash forever right ? Thanks again for the video and the awesome job you’ve done !!! ❤️💯🙏🐴💪👍
Oooooh I love this SO much!!! Whinny looks amazing and she looks SO happy with Willow and her baby. Praise God that you have been led to do this wonderful work for these horses. You all are true blessings!!
Hi im Cynthia im new the the group . Wanted to say y'all are doing amazing job . Im praying yall stayed safe from the hurricane Helena and pray 🙏 your family and the horses are safe . I watched few videos of horses coming out of very high water to safty . ❤
Amazing job, she looks so much improved. Due to where she was starting from, she still has a way to get, but wow! Thanks so much. I think having a pal helps her feel more secure, poor dear. 💕
Whinny looks miles better than when she arrived, that's for certain. I'm no horse person---but isn't quidding a not-so-great thing? I know she doesn't have great teeth, so isn't quite able to really eat grass properly, is she? Regardless of that---what an awesome and unexpected healing to occur for her emotionally.
Thank you for this video! My heart grew 2 sizes seeing Whinny have a happy herd and watching those three beautiful horses together! 🥰 I'm worried about the quids tho. Arent they dangerous for horses to swallow and a sign that due to lack of teeth, Whinn isn't able to safely eat grass/hay?
Wow. Not only is she getting along with the other horses it also seems and tho she is connecting with you as well. This transformation is crazy and its only been 2 months!!
wow i have been watching a horse named ziggy on the youtube channel called The Clever Cowgirl and she is healing a horse that looks just like Whinny I wonder if they are related

I know you had her teeth floated but if she's still quidding something else might be going on. My sister had a similar situation years ago: horse losinng condition, dewormed, quidding, teeth floated. Quidding continued, condition loss continued. Finally, xrays revealed a 3 in piece of thin wire imbedded in her gum. Never abscessed, but had been there a while. Weird stuff happens.

Winnie is a beauty. ❤ty

We're so excited to see her progress!
Looks like she's in a show ring!
Whinny looks amazing, not only her body condition but her spirit is so vastly improved! This video is a great way to start the day. Thanks for sharing.
Whinny has a family! You're right. It's huge for Whinny. She needed companions. This was an absolute pleasure to watch. 🐴❤
Glad you enjoyed it!
So wonderful to see her eat like a horse. ❤@rhfarmstables

So touching! Thank you for sharing. A 32 year old learns how to be a happy horse.

This is a huge step for Whinny. Willow is teaching her how to be a horse again. Love this.
All your love and care is showing in Winnie's great improvement. Thank you for your care of these magnificent creatures.
We do our best!

Horse interaction dynamics in this video are fascinating. I would never have guessed.
Horses have feelings! She has obviously been thru a lot…she is fortunate to have such caring humans taking care of her.🐴😊
Despite how rough she has had it you can tell Whinny was/is a beautiful horse.
That floating Arabian trot that Willow exhibits…gorgeous!
It looks like whinny is putting on a little weight! She’s looking better
Thank you God for letting Whinney improve😂 Friendship is the best medicine.
Whinnie is really improving! It really warms the heart! 🥰🥰🥰

It's incredible what you've done.. thank you so much for loving and caring for these beautiful animals.
She must be so happy now.❤
Whinny's change is stunning!! Excellent care, a lot of prayers & all around good horse care! Keep up the good work!
Mama is looking so much healthier too- wow! Thank you 🎉🎉🎉
I spent most of my riding career working with Arabians… that mare has some fine conformation!
Thanks!
Thank You! ❤️

Xena's already learning to whinny for everything, I bet that's next 😆
The equine equivalent of "MOM!"

Yes, she isn't actually eating grass but the trying is what's important! She will need fed meals forever
Wow, that’s awesome. So heartening to see Whinney’s growth. I understand your joy. I wonder if she was weaned too soon.

Amazing job, she looks so much improved. Due to where she was starting from, she still has a way to get, but wow! Thanks so much. I think having a pal helps her feel more secure, poor dear. 💕
Manuka honey is antimicrobial and is perfect for wounds as it helps the healing process 😊
Great news about whinny. And Willow as well. Glad they are all getting along 👏
Amazing transformation sassy has made 👏 congrats ❤ 🧲
She even drinks water that's more than 4 hours old!
Grace what an amazing heartfelt story !! Horses are amazing!!m❤❤❤
Omg!!!! I absolutely love this update ❤❤❤❤
Absolute beauty. Arab horses are the real horses.
Yes quidding means they're not eating grass properly, but it's a win here because she is trying!
So heartwarming!
Thanks!
Well done!
Thank you for this video! My heart grew 2 sizes seeing Whinny have a happy herd and watching those three beautiful horses together! 🥰
I'm worried about the quids tho. Arent they dangerous for horses to swallow and a sign that due to lack of teeth, Whinn isn't able to safely eat grass/hay?
Not dangerous for her they are very small
@rhfarmstables thank you for the information. I really appreciate you taking time to reply. I know how busy you are taking amazing care of everyone ❤️
Wow. Not only is she getting along with the other horses it also seems and tho she is connecting with you as well. This transformation is crazy and its only been 2 months!!
We are very impressed!
So happy she is learning to be a horse again. Those little hayrolls, I've seen from horses with tooth problems, is her teeth newly looked at? 🥰
Yes I think in an earlier video she had a vet out to float them and ascess her teeth..
Yes they are!
So heartwarming ❤❤❤
❤❤❤
Aw! Such lovely news! Well done all of you! So glad that Willow has taken Whinny on as well as her own foal, Zena. X
wow what a lovely update. Thank you. Has Winnie had her teeth checked yet?
Yes a few videos back
I just found the update from a month ago and found this.....I'm so glad she's making some progress!
I hope she is doing better!
Thank You!❤️
❤ Winnie ❤
wow i have been watching a horse named ziggy on the youtube channel called The Clever Cowgirl and she is healing a horse that looks just like Whinny I wonder if they are related
Probably not, Whinny was born and raised here in NC but anything is possible!
So beautiful ❤
Love this ❤😊
I have just joined your channel. Is it possible that these 2 horses are closely related that they get along so well?
Welcome! No, these horses are 2 entirely different breeds and raised in different states
Whinny looks like she’s turning a corner. I definitely think whinny was disparately needing some guidance and putting her in with the other horse and her colt was major. I believe she will improve very quickly now. I can see Whinny feeling younger when that colt begins exploring and feeling his oats.
Beautiful job ❤
Yay! 🎉❤
I wonder if she may have been a colt the older mare might of had in the past? Because to try to nurse that says alot. I used to have the sugar shack quarter horse ranch in eastern washington. That really isnt a normal thing unless there were family ties. I mean weirder things have happened.
Unrelated horses! We think she needed to "heal her inner child"
Thanks for saving an ARABIAN
❤❤❤
I know you had her teeth floated but if she's still quidding something else might be going on.
My sister had a similar situation years ago: horse losinng condition, dewormed, quidding, teeth floated. Quidding continued, condition loss continued. Finally, xrays revealed a 3 in piece of thin wire imbedded in her gum. Never abscessed, but had been there a while. Weird stuff happens.
She's 32 and doesn't have many teeth left unfortunately
have you had her teeth floated? quidding is an indicator that she has teeth issues
In a previous video 👍
Are peoe having great success with Cool Calories? I have not seen their use first hand. Would love to know any best practices with the product.
We prefer adding alfalda pellets to a high fat grain, it's typically more effective but CC is a reasonable option it's just dried veg oil
Maybe try apple
Can you explain the quidy things you found?
Basically balled up grass, happens when horses can't chew properly due to bad or missing teeth. Common with older horses
