I'm praying all goes well for both girls. They couldn't have landed in better hands than yours, Julie. And I'm sure people won't mind digging in their pockets to help with their medical expenses. So, never be embarrassed about asking for that help. We all love what you do for all these horses. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, Thank you for saving and giving them a life no one else would have. From your friend, the Retired Paramedic and Horse Trainer in Ontario, Canada, Jenn 💖 🇨🇦 🙏
So do I. But if it doesn't, Fletcher Farms has saved them from the slaughter places. How these intelligent animals are treated there should be criminalized.... Forever grateful to Fletcher Farms ❤❤
@user-qi6yo7xt4l I'm doing well, Claudia. Just very busy with training and teaching. And this year, campaigning 2 of the 3 horses I have in for training. I'll be back in the fall, when things slow down a bit. Right now I'm also helping with summer camp as well. Not enough time to indulge in watching John's videos. By the time I get home, I'm just too darn tired! All I want is a cooling shower, some supper, and my bed!! But I'm staying safe and doing well. Let John know I say hello, please. Your friend, Jenn 💖
WOW that is quite a herd you have built. Just beautiful! That swollen leg looks so painful, poor baby. I always thought it was cruel to cut their tails. As many flies that are on them they need a long tail to swoosh them away.
Welcome to the tribe, Pearl and Fiona. Prayers for the surgeries, ongoing cancer treatments, and acuppuncture etc. So glad the new girls were able to be at the vet together and side-by-side, too. A huge thank you for all who participated in the fundraiser, past and present. Also, a huge thank you to Zoetis for the vaccine donations. Appreciate the names put up on the screen. Love your videos and updates. So excited for Pateron.
Every time you rescue a horse and then have to take them off the ranch for medical care, I always want to reassure them that they are coming back. They have been through so much I don't want them to be scared anymore. Thank you for all you do to give them better lives.
I'm praying for both girls, they both are extremely lucky that you saved them and that they will now get the care and love they deserve..both girls are in need of good hoof care..
I haven't been watching your channel very long, but seeing the direct ship fundraiser being complete when I saw the video 2 hours after it was posted was heart warming! Wishing them good health and a happy retirement!
I'm so delighted and relieved to always see you take aggressive action towards getting them feeling better! My mom passed away, so as soon as I can get my mom's estate on the way, I will send funds to help! Thk you, Julie, for All that you do for these beautiful babes!!!❤🐎❤️👏👏👏👏👏🙏🙏🥰
You have taken on a big job cause u know when u got interested in doing this yrs ago that they would probably all come with medical issues. Bless u for this huge task.
Wanted to share a spot to check on swollen leg for a cut high high up in her inner groin, about where leg meets body. My mare cut herself with her blanket leg strap buckle... and got swollen like this too in the same way and the cut was so small and hidden it was not seen for several days...
God bless you Julie - you had a dream of bringing a little love and hope into this world, and you have done it! Watching your beautiful, but often tired, sad and hopeless equines find rest and love at your farm really is balm to my soul. And countless others I’m sure! I pray for you all, and I will support you as and when I can (I have needy equines who I care for too - as well as humans!) 🙏🙏🙏
I would get an ophthalmologist consult at Texas A & M if that is possible for this girl. Or hopefully you have one locally that could take a look at her. Not doubting your vet, but this sounds like a very complicated case.
Thank you for this video. It gives a real insight to all that goes into responsible rescuing. People want rescues, but often don't understand the costs involved in doing it, as well all the work, and knowledge needed to do it right. These are beautiful horses and it is wonderful they had a first rate rescue take them on. To you and all that rescue, whatever critters you do, YOU DO NOT GET THE RECOGNITION AND THANKS FOR THE VALUABLE HUMANE WORK YOU DO IN BEHALF OF INNOCENT CREATURES THAT SHARE THIS PLANET WITH US!!! WE NEED MORE LIKE YOU, THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you all for working to saving these beauties! I request the most benevolent outcome for Pearl, Fiona, and Eva. May they have long, happy, comfortable lives! Glad Pearl didn’t have to stay at the vet alone!
These girls are so beautiful and so sweet. They are absolutely gorgeous and adorable. They get all the love, care and affection from.you people. They will live a happy and peaceful lifeat your farm. Wish you all the best. Lots of love❤
You really have good hearts. I'm so glad you were there to save them. They are Beautful. Now they have wonderful Angels to take care of them. God Bless you All. Take care and be safe. Love your horses. I also have horses. I Love them All. I have three horses.❤🐴🐴
I'm sure Fiona is carrying a load of pain---hard to be outgoing with a load of pain . I'm sure there's many good vibes in your horse trailer to ease the transport of the new rescues. ❤
Hello, I am New to your channel. and the work you all do is Amazing. Thank you for sharing your rescue:s with us. The Girls Pearl and Fiona are Beautiful and they are in the Best of Hand's. You All are Angels 😇🐎😇🐴😇
God Bless you for all the love and tlc you give these horses when they need it most after being tossed aside as worthless. It would be nice if the vets farrier could give them all a trim before coming home. Fionas right front esp needs attention but Im sure they all could use it.
Sorry that I can't donate this month, so I will let all commercials play through and maybe that helps a little bit. Thumbs up and a share! Awesome job once again!
Donated for the Vetbill - but I really want to see an Update with the Farrier. The two mares a new at your Farm and I know very well that Horses can be difficult and dangerous with the Farrier. Ava stays a few weeks with you and her Hoofs are terrible too. ❤️ Liane 🇩🇪
I so wish I could help. You guys are doing incredible work Julie. I'm sure many, many of us wish we could help with these magnificent animals like you guys do. May God bless and protect you all. ❤💪😊
Why is it that the previous owners are never charged with any kind of animal abuse or neglect? It drives me crazy. I just want to cry when I see these horses. Their hooves alone are in terrible condition. I am so happy they are finally going to get the love and care they so deserve 💕
Because, legally, horses are livestock. And, as such, a commodity. There will always be people with "commodity hearts" in conflict with hearts like yours. Keep finding/keep saving.
I am glad that you do this update on RUclips, it´s the only social media I use and I usually skip shorts and reels. It is great that you managed to get them and it´s wonderful to see how good care the get now.
Thank you for sharing the wonderful videos and stories of the horses. Mostly, thank you for saving them and the vision of Fletcher Farms. Is it always a characteristic of a Belgium Draft horse that their tails are so short? Is it a custom to trim the tails short, or do they not grow as part of the breed? Thank you!
Draft breeds have their tail bones cut short...traditionally...it's a practice that is being phased out now thank goodness! Soon all horses will have long natural tails! We hope!
Thank you! Interesting...must be because of the workhorse tackle needed for pulling wagons? Do you know why a tail bone would be cut? Wow...seems extreme. I hope they do stop the practice. Thank you so much!!@impunitythebagpuss
As an achey older lady myself, I can relate to Fiona. Sometimes it is difficult to be "social" and "nice" when parts of you hurting. I hope Fiona's leg can be healed and isn't too painful. So glad she is still with her friend Pearl!
Back in the day, they would take two solid silver spoons, cup one over the bad eye and tap it with the other spoon. Silver has many properties that were use for healing. You could try it to see if over time it will help her. Debbie
Fundraising and supporting rescues like yours gives us an opportunity to help in the ways that we can. We don’t all have access to acreage or are older but still want to help. We like being angels too and you give us the chance to do that. W know, trust and support you. Many, many thanks.
You don’t need to apologize for fundraising. That’s the only way to keep things going for the horses.😊
They are Living Large!!! You are all so very, very Kind!!! They must feel such relief!

Love that you name Everyone!!! So much like a Big Family!!!! Great Job everyone!
These poor girls have been so neglected. I cried watching Fiona accept affection, maybe the first kind hand that ever touched her.
WOW that is quite a herd you have built. Just beautiful!
That swollen leg looks so painful, poor baby. I always thought it was cruel to cut their tails. As many flies that are on them they need a long tail to swoosh them away.
Two more precious lives saved thanks to the big hoof foundation, tfs x Julie 🇬🇧
Glad these girls were rescued by Fletcher Farms 😃🐴❤️ Keep up the great work you do in providing these gentle giants with the best retirement possible.
They are beautiful ☺️💕
Thank you Zoetis for helping Fletcher Farms out with its herds vaccine shots.
?Debulking and chemo - Thank you for giving her more time on this earth!!! So Grateful!
So happy these two Belgians were saved and keeping good thoughts for all 3 that went to the vet.

I'm praying for both girls, they both are extremely lucky that you saved them and that they will now get the care and love they deserve..both girls are in need of good hoof care..
Fiona's face got so soft and happy when you were petting her
Awww.. sweet ❤❤
It really did. She even leaned in too a bit. It was so sweet. 💞
I noticed that, too.
Bless you for rescuing these two beautiful horses. I am sure that under your loving care they will flourish. ❤❤😊😊
You are so kind and gentle with these horses Julie, you make me tear up . I'm sure it's the first time they've ever had a gentle hand on them....
God bless you for saving these beautiful ladies, never apologise for fund raising Julie ❤️❤️🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

While I do agree, wouldn't that cost quite a bit or do they do it there for free or discounted for their teaching program there?
I am hoping these girls feel peace and love from now on 💜
You are so wonderful to take on the two new Belgian's. Hope everything goes well at the vet.
Pearl is every little girls dream! And it appears she is sassy as well! Fiona needs love, which she will get now that she is in a good home.

I like the vet narrative along with your voice over.
The eye tumors seem to be a thing with this breed. Can you comment on that?
I don’t know if it’s something to do with the breed but this is the 4th horse we have had that has had eye tumors.
I am listening to you BUT the dog & donkey interaction is WONDERFULL !!!!!
Can Pearl see out of that eye at all ? Really hoping she can be ok for a while so glad you saved them from slaughter !
Yes she is visual in the eye she still has.
Great job as always Julie and good to see that you are doing well ☺️
Hoping all goes well for your rescued girls - from another Fiona 🏴🐎❤️
Simply incredible. Rescue horses are so grateful.
