Poor Willow..pregnant and her ribs are sticking out..imagine how skinny she'd be if she didn't have a baby on board. !! She definitely needs feeding up pregnant or not but obviously specific hay etc..we know you will do the best for her .. she's lucky you bid on her..maybe someone not as experienced as you would not have noticed the signsbof pregnancy and she could have been eating the wrong hay and not enougj food to feed mom and baby.. she's a sweet girl..so calm..looking forward to all of the updates..it'll be great being able to watch her on her very own webcam..🇬🇧💕✝️🙏👏👍🐎🇺🇸

Wow, I didn't know that your hay is so expensive. I'm in western pa, and our timothy and clover hay is $5 a bale. We used to breed mares, and we rarely had to have a vet come for the birth. Horses and cattle often like to have babies at night so they are alone. You are doing such a wonderful thing. God will provide!!

On the plus side, pregnant mares may get your rescue more attention and thus more adoptions and donations and get your channel more views = more revenue

Love those surprises. I bought a Tennessee Walker mare without a thought as to whether she could be pregnant. However as I rode, her belly seemed to be getting bigger and bigger. She had the foal a few months later. He was a beautiful, solid black, well-gaited little guy! Hope the foal arrives with no complications or additional vet bills.
Pretty name for her..... You could name the baby Aspen for a filly, and Birch for a colt....
If you can find out her background more, she may be from great stock, breeding and DNA would be awesome as well. Her temperament and build could be an indicator of something grand. She's got a beautiful head and once she's wormed ,fed properly and gains weight she would make a fabulous family horse to a good home. Has she worked cattle? Trail, who knows. It's her demeanor and temperment is rare. Just lovely.❤
The seller told us at auction she had worked cattle but we don't put much stock in that! We can definitely do DNA tests 👍

Good thing that you already had the hay
Grace said that Willow will need a different type of hay while she's pregnant to prevent any problems with the foal's development in the womb. This will be at least one of the things that will be added expenses for the pregnant mare. They will provide whatever is needed for Willow and her foal.

I knew she was pregnant. It's not ideal like you said for the added expense but the baby will be a blessing. Can't wait to see if she has a filly or colt plus the color of her baby. I love her name.

@@rhfarmstables I am laughing in sympathy!!!😉 That's what the doctors and nurses said concerning my first son! He was a bucking bronco! He'd kick so hard the bed shook! It'll be fun to see how Willow and her little bronc progress! I love watching you handle the horses. You treat them with so much love, care and respect, taking each horse's personality and history (as much as you know) into consideration. Your name suits you entirely.
She is so beautiful and sweet. Thank you for all you do for her and the other horses. When you install that camera, PLEASE check the level of electro magnetic frequency in her stall. Horses are very sensitive to these frequencies and the foal will be super sensitive. For a safe and healthy environment the light should be green.

If its a colt:hunter or if a filly:luz
If you can't take care of the horse and the baby then get the phone number of Horse Plus humain society and maybe they can pick up the horse and baby you can drive them to Tennessee, if you really can't afford taking care of the horse and baby. And don't have the funds, call them.
We raise funds for our animals like any other rescue. HP profits off horses they just put down anyways, do your research

Why did you choose the expense of an ultrasound? Isn't it enough to know that she's pregnant? Was there another concern that warranted it?
Knowing how far along is important for a number of reasons
you have to sedate her (and her baby) to do a scan????

im happy she's with you guys but what a scummy seller telling you that fake story about her and leaving her woth all these health condition (not the pregnancy tho, im happy for you guys about the lottle baby you'll get)
