He was so good, lifting his hoof before the farrier even reached for it!

I love the fact that you are on top of all the issues with these rescues, whether it is training, time to heal, vet visits, change in feed, whatever. I know this costs money, a lot of money. I am so grateful you are supported by horselovers, and I think you are a Hero for what you do.

Toe out over the shoe. Feet are long. Hoof deformity right front outside quarter flaring.
Problem is not in the foot. Farther up.

If you watched the whole video you'll see the shoe slipped back - the toe wasn't long. His first hoof repair video covers addtl issues

Have you ever tried super deep woodchips? The good thing is you can age the wood chips with the horses and move it to your garden when ready

Leave him barefoot & trim his hoofs they were overgrown over the shoe its not the mud.

      Unfortunately that's incorrect

Geez. Horse has a monster quarter crack on the lateral wall, and Vet's ignoring it. Then she resets a shoe with the heels sticking out past the bulbs, asking to get stepped off. Hello!?/Wtf? That crack needs dremmeling out, stabilizing. Weight comes down, crack opens, tearing lamina, weight released, crack closes, pinching sensitive structures. If not totally through the inner wall, can fill with Vettec Superfast, or even Adhere. Then cast over that to immobilize. Want to go further, create a floated area on ground surface of hoof beneath the crack, then shoe, then cast, or vice versa, cast first, then shoe to prolong duration of cast.

We love our vet and she developed an amazing plan for this horse's healing. Not everything is shown in this video. We have her to thank for him being sound and barefoot now! Thanks for watching 👍
