Follow our journey of training horses, rescue and rehabilitation for equines.
RH Farm is a Nonprofit dedicated to the rescue, care and rehabilitation of abused, neglected or slaughter bound horses. We accept surrenders, pull from auction and other avenues of rescue. We work very hard to find them a forever home, and a better future.
We are 99% self-funded at the moment. With your donation we can save more horses from slaughter, rehabilitate neglected ponies and help equines in need find the love they deserve.

Thank goodness she didn't take them to auction
Their so cute 😍 I would adopt them if I had some land and a barn😊. I hope you can adopt them out as a pair seeing they have been together all their lives❤
Glad they found a safe place. Definitely have their winter coats on them. All the other horses and barn animals are looking and sizing them out.
Start of string-haunt left hind? Oodles of cuteness! Pony’s live a long, long time - they may see 40 yo. Thanks for bringing them home and caring for them.
Oh my, halters so tight. Their lives will get better now with you. Sweet little animals.
Yes we gave them relief asap!
What adorable beautiful ponies! I am so glad you were able to help them. I hope they have some good homes soon.
They’re so precious! Sweet babies!😊
💗💗💗💗
You are a great person God bless you
🥰
They are precious.. glad there with you 😊
Glad she called you I noticed her legs some thing neological or epm must have been hard to part with them
It looks as if she has arthritis but they look like sweet souls glad you were the owner's choice rather than an auction that would have been very confusing for them.🧡
She looks neurological. She’s drifting as she walks. Maybe EPM? There seems to be a lot of it around these days. Her stifles don’t look great either. Glad they found a safe landing with you
Thanks! We thought that as well - could be a few things!
that's what I was just thinking, EPM.
Thanks!
Thank you!!
She is a little gimpy🍀🇺🇸
maybe it to do with age , i know what its like to be older, aches and pains
Looks, to me, like maybe her pelvis is locked. Her hips aren’t moving up and down as she walks. She’s all stiff in the back end. Also her right stifle wasn’t moving very fluid. Almost like it stuck then slid free. (I’m an Apprentice equine massage therapist. I also trim hooves and own horses) Regardless, she could benefit from chiro and massages. 😊
Once we get her warmed up to people that's definitely something we'll try!
How are you doing Grace
Guesses ...ruled out EPM? Leg issue or hip issue? Maybe Arthritis. Really cute!
P. S. You have such a cute nose 😀
No bats in the cave I hope..
Definitely having some issues. 🤔
For sure!
Could she have that EMP or EPM (I can't remember the order of the initials) going on? Horses can get it from exposure in fields to opossums that pass it in their urine.
Possibly epm, they haven't seen the vet just yet so that will give us some answers
May some think in her hoof?
Oh goodness that text was awful , ! Maybe something could be in her hoof?
But I heard you say it could be arthritis , because of her age . thanks for sharing
I hope you can find them good homes , how long do you think that pair has been together ? It might be really hard on them at their age to
Separate them ? Take care
Do you not Quarantine them for a while. Do not understand why they would be put with another horse without first being settled in and of course Quarantine
These 2 mares were together by themselves for 20 years. We did keep them separate for a few weeks before introducing other horses
Yea definitely something wrong with her back leg. I’d get a vet out to see her.
Leave them together they have been that long together.... They won't make it on their own
They actually aren't a bonded pair but we are keeping them together for now
Keep them. Don't adopt them out.
If we find them great homes we can help more horses!
Recording and driving, not wise.
Thanks!
Thank you!!
